Went with another couple for their 2/$65 Wednesday Night Dinner Special. The bread & cornbread are baked fresh every day and it shows. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy but did not feel crowded even with every table full. The sweet potato mash was the favorite side dish.
My wife and myself ended up here by sheer chance. We live a hour away and had no intention of being out for dinner. Thanks to a quick google search we luckily found this gem. Atmosphere is old school but, not stuffy. Owner(Phil) is a gentleman that cares about his patrons and their happiness with the dining experience. An institution and just a wonderful hole in the wall. Great wings and prime rib. Just go. You probably need a reservation as it is a very popular local spot. But such warm people very glad we went. They didn't realize we weren't local.
