We stopped here randomly while visiting family on the east coast. We drove from Rochester to NYC one day and landed at Stella's for breakfast. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was classic, but the best part was our waitress! She sat down and talked with our kids like they were her own grandchildren and treated us all like extended family. It was honestly the best experience I could imagine!
Stella’s is a solid go to for breakfast. Kitchen is relatively quick even when they are busy. Food is basic. Seasoning is minimal or nonexistent but a little salt, pepper, and ketchup makes breakfast edible. Waitstaff is always fun and on top of things. Not a fan of Betty Boop and oversexualizing of women but it fits the classic diner theme. Photo is veggie breakfast burrito. It was wet in the bottom and no way to pick it up. Stella's is one of my favorite places for fish on Friday. They have it fried, broiled or grilled. Recently I was there and ordered mashed potatoes with my fish. I did not specify without gravy. When the waitress brought my dinner I was upset because it had gravy. She took them back to the kitchen. When she returned it seemed that I had more than before.
