The food was surprisingly good. For a little diner I was impressed. You can see in the picture of the fries that the cooking oil was clean. Everything tasted fresh. Friendliness - server was super nice and accommodating. She was on top of the refills. Cleanliness - wellllllll I wouldn't call it clean. But it isn't filthy. Atmosphere - not much to talk about here. I don't care for the decor of the place. But I would come back for the food. The quality of the food and the good service will have me coming back.

Went for the first time today. Liked that you can call ahead to get on a waiting list for a table, because this place fills up fast! We both got the fish fry. Very good. Not the best one I've ever had, but very good. Service was great, and very friendly bartenders. Will be back!

Takeout order from Squire's this time. Food was very good, service was great and friendly. We ordered the Warrior combo, which was beef on weck, 5 wings and fries. They don't serve wings on Friday, so substituted fingers instead, which were very good., we also ordered clam strip dinner, patty melt on rye, and the Chief burger with Swiss. Everyone enjoyed their meal, we'll be ordering again.

We had a date night in the area and I had heard of Squire’s so we thought we’d give it a try. It’s a quaint place with a dining room on one side and a bar down the other. We stopped on a Saturday night around 6:00 and the dining room was full so we sat at the bar. Rick was running the bar and we was fantastic. Such a nice and helpful guy. It was a pleasure to meet him. I had the pot roast special with fries and gravy while my wife had The Warrior which was a classic Beef on Weck with 5 wings. I couldn’t have cooked it better myself ! Everything was perfect. After our visit this place moved up near the top of places we like to visit. Cozy, casual and quant place to get great food, great service and a glass of spirits !

So, I have eaten a lot of crab cakes in various places throughout the country, including New Orleans, Cape Cod, Baltimore, and Boston and I can say that Squires has THE BEST crab cakes I have ever had. The crab cakes actually are crab cakes. Not filling with some crabmeat mixed in but just crab meat. They are plump and moist and just simply the best. Their fish fry is made with fresh, not frozen fish therefore it is not soggy between the fish and the fried battered coating, so, so good! The house-made mac and cheese is moist and gooey to perfection. I am not usually a mac and cheese fan but of Squire's, I am! The servings are generous, Buffalo-sized. Be sure to save room for or order to take home a housemade dessert. I had the cherry pie to go, after being way too full to have there which I enjoyed several hours later...wonderful! The prices are in my opinion too low for the splendidness of simply everything from service, cleanliness, and of course the food. I can't wait to go again! Beware, Fridays fill up fast so get there before 4. Also, there was a line for takeout pickups. At this time they are serving fish fries Wednesday-Saturdays (I think). It is a neighborhood tavern with a neighborhood feel...just great!
