I was biking the Erie Canal Trail and notice this place and dropped in since I hadn't had breakfast. This is a bar with food, make no mistake. However, they've got outside seating and the chicken sandwich was large and extremely good. Service was great, with the ice water kept filled.

Great view of the river. Excellent service. Waitress very friendly. Good fish fry ?

The service is good and polite; however, the food (twice) was awful. The fish was over cooked (not flaky) and the clams (3 for $10) were small. The seating outside was cramped, and no one came to clean the table prior to us sitting down. Also (nothing against the person), the owner allowed smoking near outside seating. We will not be returning.

I've been going to the isleview for quite some time, recently I met some friends on a weeknight to have a couple beers and enjoy the view of the river. We decided to order some food, we got a couple of appetizers and also an order of chicken fingers and fries. We're all aware of the inflation and how prices have gone up, I don't have a problem with paying more for my food as long as I'm still getting the same product. The quality and the portions are not the same anymore. My basket I received 4 tiny chicken fingers. I understand that it costs more however they should be embarrassed to charge what they did for that meal. People don't mind paying more what they do mind is when they're getting ripped off.

I LOVED this place!!!!! It is the definition of a great local dive that overlooks the Niagara river and Niawanda Park. The bartender was a local college student and she was fantastic! She was personable and made easy conversation. We ordered the broccoli cheddar bites because we have never heard of them and they were really good. We ordered their wings because their menu said they were voted the best wings in the area and they weren't lying! They were amazeballs!!!! We got the raspberry chipotle and general tso sauces and they were great and tasted scratch made.

Stumbled upon Isle View as we were visiting some family in the area. Very low key, hole in the wall dive bar restaurant. We sat out front in the patio area overlooking the water. The shrimp basket and fries were good. Our server was kind, but didn't come around all too often as it was the holiday weekend and the restaurant seemed understaffed with the amount of people dining there. One thing I didn't like was the amount of smoking on the patio. Didn't appreciate the second hand smoking!

Stopped in here during a nice afternoon in Tonawanda and were seated outside. Our server was friendly but seemed a bit stressed, as they may have been understaffed. The view of the water was nice, especially on a beautiful day like it was that day. I ordered a beer and a beef on weck to eat. The sandwich was a bit disappointing, it was quite dry and the meat was very salty, even for this type of sandwich. It wasn't inedible, but certainly wasn't something I'd recommend to others. The table next to us was full of people smoking cigarettes, so just be mindful that this is allowed on the patio as it might be a strong smell. The bathroom was really dirty and smelled horrible as well. Overall it was a very average experience.

Service was extremely slow. Food took forever to come to the table. When we went inside to get our bill. Server was inside the restaurant playing with a dog. The dog should have not been inside the building where food is served

Great place to stop by if you're in the area. The park and Niagara river are right across from the restaurant and they have live music often outside, so during the summer months it's a good time!

We have had the pleasure of the wonderful waitress and the amazing Swiss and Mushroom burgers! I go with a friend of mine, and he always tells our amazing waitress to " keep the beer coming til I pass out!" Lol!! Will return!

Great food and great service considering the crowd. I'd definitely go again.

With th exception of lunch on Fridays when a good bartender is there, you should avoid this place. They just can't see to get it together. What a shame. Nice location.
