“Ryan's Wake is always a great time. Fun place to hang out and has great drink, for fair prices. Plus best of all, the staff is tops and ownership is as good as it gets. He runs a tight ship but always makes it a great experience. The river bar in the back is particularly awesome during the “
“One of the best experiences we've had in a long time. Food was fantastic and great price. Would like to thank the manager Josh in the Troy, NY location for providing such amazing customer service! Appreciate him for going above and beyond and making our time there so enjoyable.“
“I went in for a late dinner while my kids were around the corner at a rave. Wings were delicious, fried pickle spears brought back fond memories of Dallax TX where I had them for the first time and fell in love with them. Desert was to die for.“
“Lucky ? to have stopped at The Bunker during our stay in Greenbush. We sat at the bar and our server Lauren was so attentive, friendly and made a delicious dirty martini. The food was excellent! We ordered the salmon tacos and Philly cheesesteak, both scrumptious! Actually, I order fish tacos quite often and these were the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely stop in again when traveling through the are.“
“So this is your average blue collar / white collar bar, people who live and work in Albany often come here. They without a doubt have the best pizza you have ever had!!! The sauce is so delicious and so unique I highly recommend ordering one night.“
“We were out on a road trip and decided to crash the local pub after dinner for cocktails and karaoke. Reget going to dinner beforehand. The food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled great. Drinks were good and reasonable priced. The locals took us in and we had a great time. 5 stars for Songbird Karaoke.“
“It’s a nice vibe in there. Lots of different types of people and I like the layout of the place. My only thing is that it was really warm in the bathroom like uncomfortably so, but it wasn’t that big a deal, just something I remember noticing. Live music is fire ? I can’t speak on the food I didn’t get any but the mixed drinks were type strong . I would return. Bartenders were quick and friendly enough.“
“This place is a highlight for me. I come here at least once a week and always have an amazing experience. The place is small, but rarely do I ever have to wait for a table. The food and drinks are amazing, and really moderately priced. Dine in or take out, this place is a winner.“
“The food was very good, I'd strongly recommend a visit! I'm sad that it's no longer a topless or bikini bar but would still visit again if I'm in the area. If they went back to being topless I'd go out of my way to visit.“
“Pretty great spot. Bartender was very attentive and helpful. My only complaint would be that the selection was a bit lacking in variance. There were a lot of options, and good ones, but the vast majority were on the lighter end. IPAs, pales, etc. Very little in the way of dark. Not a big complaint though. Certainly wouldn't keep me from going back.“
“We came here for dinner on a train lay over, it's a hole in the wall type of place with great burgers, good drinks, and fast service, I can't recommend it enough especially if you are on a train layover! It's just across the parking lot. June was a great hostess! Can't wait to visit again on another layover!“
“This is a very classy and fun place to unwind after a long week of work. Very clean with great tasting food and a wide variety of drinks. This is 100% an must go place for good and enjoyable times. Service was very attentive to our needs, even with one of our picky friends ?.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm not in a wheelchair. However, I was happy to see that they have a smooth, easy to use wheelchair ramp.“
“Pretty good, but pretty expensive.Ordered ahead over the phone, going with The Charleston and the SS Calamari. Total came to roughly a bit over $35 before tip, which was pretty pricy for just two menu items, especially for the calamari clocking in at over $15 and an up charge on any side aside from chips with the Charleston. (which is a chicken wrap with bacon, honey mustard, tomato and lettuce though I had the tomato held)Amusingly almost got my meal for free as the waitress thought I had ordered through the online system, and luckily for her I corrected her misunderstanding and paid for it as I should. But they might want to be a bit better about that, might not be so lucky the guy next time won't just waltz out the door with a free dinner. But was the taste worth the price? Well, yes and no. The wrap was good, but nothing amazing or shocking. The onion rings were alright, good flavor, but just a tad underwhelming. I think they needed more of a crunch. And the calamari, well it needed a bit longer in the fryer for sure, a little doughy to me, but boy was that sauce they included so interesting! It heavily reminded me of mincemeat. Not a flavor I'd though I'd have on fried octopus, but it worked. So yeah, pretty pricy. I mean, this is a pub, the price should be far more reasonable for the appetizers since that's most of what your bar goers will order. But what I got was pretty good, some minor complaints, but nothing that made me deduct a star.“
“Swifty’s Restaurant & Pub, with its three upstate New York locations, promises a warm and welcoming atmosphere- my experience at their Albany spot was pretty cool - always great to have Friendly staff!Mozzarella Sticks: These were the real stars of the meal—crispy, gooey, and downright awesome. ?Kids’ Menu: Swifty’s nailed it here. The little ones were happy campers with their tasty options. ????Unfortunately, the shepherd’s pie leaned a bit too far into the sweet territory for my liking. ?Would I return? Maybe, but mainly for some cold brews rather than the food. ?“
“Stopped in for lunch and was very impressed. The lunch menu was a good deal, I got the stir fry with shrimp and it was delicious, perfect portion too. The service I received was very friendly and accommodating, and I really liked the ambiance. It's in an A frame building with a cute bar and separate dining area. Lunch specials a plenty, drink specials, daily specials...I love a place that offers a value and doesn't skimp on the details.“
“So I'm from Indiana and delivered across the street from Joe's. I read there reviews and thought what the hell I'll try it out. Bit am I glad I did. Was treated like I'd been there a thousand times. The food was great the drink was strong but not to strong and the hospitality was like being in the south. So if you're out that way stop and have a drink and some wings. I'll have to add photos later can't find them“
“Irish tavern that I was a regular of during the pandemic as it was on a common route. Food prices are amazing, plenty of specials. I once asked for a barbecue jalapeno chicken quesadilla and he made it the weekly special. Parking is in the back off Ontario Street take a right off new Scotland and another quick right.“
“Cafe Hollywood dose not get any better for a Lark Street experience for fun, food and entertainment. Especially when Justin is looking out for us all with his wife Jen, the second greatest business owners on Lark Street. Thank you Justin and Lark “
“Step into Johnnie's Daughter and you're transported to a world where excellence in soul food reigns supreme. As you savor each bite, the ambiance of the restaurant envelops you in a warm embrace of nostalgia. Good old-school music fills the air, setting the perfect backdrop for a soulful dining experience. However, while the music adds to the charm of the place, some patrons may find it could use a modern update to appeal to a broader audience.Nevertheless, the true essence of Johnnie's Daughter lies in its authenticity, captured best by Mel Waiters in his iconic song "Hole in the Wall." It's a place where time seems to stand still, allowing guests to indulge in the simple pleasures of good food and great company.Overall, Johnnie's Daughter is a gem of a restaurant, serving up soulful dishes that hit all the right notes. With a few tweaks to the ambiance, it has the potential to become a timeless favorite for generations to come.“
“Great bar with karaoke almost everyday for those with the singing bug.Parking: There is a parking lot in the back. Gets full quick, but the is also parking across the street.Kid-friendliness: Kids aren't allowed here after 9.Wheelchair accessibility: The front entrance is the handicapped entrance. It gets cramped in the winter, do moving a wheelchair around the bar then would be pretty difficult.“
“I recently dined at Peddlers Bar & Bistro, and despite a ridiculously long wait, the overall experience left a positive impression. Let me break it down:Food: The menu boasts a delightful selection of pub favorites. From juicy burgers to crispy mozzarella sticks, the flavors hit the spot. I recommend trying their signature dishes and craft beers.Service: Our waitress was an absolute gem. Her warm demeanor and attentive service made up for the wait. Kudos to her!Atmosphere: The real star of the show! Peddlers’ ambiance is cozy and inviting. In summary, while the wait tested our patience, the friendly service and charming atmosphere saved the night.“
“That may have been the best cheeseburger I've had in my entire life. The burger was excellent, the fries were excellent, the drinks were excellent, the service was excellent. Took my 11 year old son here for lunch and we both left happy and satisfied. Nice work, Junior's !“
