“My daughter-in-law is from Brazil and introduced my family to some treats like Brigadeiros and so I found Araras online and visited one day to get some . So happy I did and I’ve been back several times to pick up different treats and also to buy some groceries from the market. I must say that as wonderful as the food is, the service and people who work there are even more wonderful! They have always been so helpful and accommodating and make Araras a very special place. “amazing pizza! ordered the upside pie (its like an l & b spumoni style pizza) with a utica twist (its a detroit style not a sicilian but similar not as thick) and it was incredible. the sauce was on point, the crust chewy and delicious and the grated cheese on top was perfect…. the owner is incredibly nice and friendly which makes me want to support this pizzeria even more…. do yourself a favor and stop by this place…. you will be happy that you did…. thanks westchester foodies facebook group for highlighting this place… so glad i tried it“

“We had a drink and dinner here. We sat at the bar for a glass of wine before dinner. The bartender was quick getting our order and had a good friendly personality. We then headed to our table for some dinner. Our waitress was terrific….friendly and attentive. They have a big selection of food and there were several specials (both appetizers and entrees). The entrees include seafood, beef and pastas. Our meals were really good and they have generous portions. It’s easy to get to and has a nice casual atmosphere. “We ordered a few catering trays to bring to the medical center, as a big group of family were visiting for a patient's bday. Overall very successful, everyone loved the food, and it was packed well. Thanks to Yelp for helping me find this place. Got the small salad which was a big bowl, balsamic on the side was really thick and creamy, could have been heavier on the balsamic. Small tray of plain wings (about 30) were a hit, w/tasty chunky blue cheese dressing. For entrees we chose the penne vodka (no bacon), broccoli rabe, and the chicken with sun dried tomatoes. Pasta was cooked well with a good tomato-y sauce. Chicken was very moist with a light garlic sauce. Gave us a bag of bread rolls, no butter, but they were hardly touched. Plates/utensils/napkins as requested, and gave us plastic serving spoons and salad thongs which we forgot we would need. Efficient friendly service.“
“Alex and his team are always so hospitable, kind, fun and charismatic! We go to Alexs at least 3 times a week!! The food is always perfection. Great quality and portions for a great and enjoyable meal. The wines are the best! Especially the reds! We also love hanging out at the bar and eating/drinking while having great convos with the regulars. Alexs food and atmosphere make it a very fun & enjoyable time! “We have been dining at Mulino’s for years until we moved further up north. We just had dinner again there on Saturday and I have to say the food is as good as we remember it. Ramone provided our service and couldn’t been more accommodating, attentive and pleasant. The whole waitstaff was great but Ramone’s humorous touch made the evening even nicer. “Honestly.....I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed Sir John's on yelp yet, maybe because we always consistently have great meals here and locals know it's a great restaurant?? Maybe because I know I have so many good things to say? This is going to be a bit long... so here it goes!! I grew up in Valhalla and was raised going to this restaurant with my family and friends family it has always been a one of the Italian restaurants we all went to for a great meal. I no longer live up in Westchester, I've been living out of state for a number of years. Even when I got married, 17 years ago I wasn't living in NY but I still did my rehearsal dinner here, as well as my brother doing his rehearsal dinner here. We've also had several celebrations of life for my Grandmother and my parents. This past weekend we celebrated a Christening, I helped my brother and wife plan the party. Once again , John and his staff did not disappoint! The food was fantastic, appetizers were first followed by the supreme buffet, everything served tasted great! Penne ala vodka, chicken francese,scarpariello, sausage and peppers roasted potatoes were all fantastic. Party goers went up 2 and 3 times! If you are ever looking for a venue for a party, I highly recommend John and his staff! Great party, great food and the fairest prices around!“
“This place has really good food. The pizza and the piadine were both excellent, far beyond what I was expecting. The place has been empty both times I went though. I think they could refine the concept a bit and do a better job aiming it at the office lunch crowd. Maybe a few more piadine or other lunch items that aren’t pasta or pizza, eg a salad with chicken. I also think they need to make it look more inviting from the outside - it looked closed until I got up to the window and saw someone behind the counter. Better lighting maybe? Also, a minor thing but it’s annoying that the menu is behind you when you are facing the counter. In any case, the food is great and I’ll be back for more.“

“We stopped for lunch on a Sunday and it is obvious that it is a family tradition for many. The ambiance is lush with leather and lots of booths. The music was a wonderful mix of Sinatra and Dean Martin etc. Before we even ordered they brought over bread and olives. My husband ordered the turkey panini and I had the hamburger. The food was excellent and it was a very relaxing meal.“

“My family and I have been coming here for years. My parents know the owners going way back. We are familiar with quite a few of the waitstaff as well. We know this place from the signature crack in the kitchen window to the charming old-school placemats. We remember when the walls were covered in old-fashioned posters. Now, old photographs hang on the walls, and the back wall is covered in a large, colorful mural.The best dishes to get here are the pizza bread, the fried calamari, the chicken scarparo, and the filet of sole francese. The fries are not bad as a side dish. I would also recommend the linguine with oil as a side. For those wondering, the pizza bread is basically garlic bread in a flat pizza-like shape, and it's one of the best things they make here.“
