I came upstairs, and kevin was my bartender/ server. He was absolutely amazing! His personality and the ability to talk to everyone sitting at the bar was contagious. I will absolutely be back here because of Kevin.

Love coming here! I only come when I have a reservation because the wait is usually long. My staples here are the Bakersfield margarita w salt and the chips and guac. Tonight I got the fish, shrimp, and short rib tacos. All were hit! They're pretty small so get 2-3 per person. My plain husband just got the meat and tortilla with no toppings. We had guac leftover and asked to take it home and our server also brought us fresh chips to take home. Service was great! Only downfall is that we were upstairs and it was super loud.

We stopped here for something quick as we travel home and was greeted immediately and sat with the nicest waitress. She was on top of drinks and our order. We got a small variety of tacos and they were super delicious. The short rib and pork on the Al Pastor- we seasoned well and great with the paired pineapple and cabbage/ radish. Must try this location it seems to be great for any time!

Never had a bad experience here, and I’ve never had a better shrimp taco. Everything is perfect.

I've never been much of a tacos fan, but Bakersfield really changed my mind on it. The tacos (2 shrimp, 2 fish, 2 short rib) tasted so delicious and flavorful from the meat, while the cabbage, radishes, onions, etc. gave it such a fresh flavor on top of it. The queso was addicting. I can't imagine what the loaded one must taste like. Our waitress was very nice and happily gave advice on which tacos to try. I definitely enjoyed how chill and relaxing it was in the restaurant, especially after a full day of walking. If you're not really into tacos like me, give Bakersfield a shot. They may just spark your love for tacos.

Came here per the recommendation of a local who absolutely loves this place. Definitely liked to service and ambiance. The pineapple margarita was perfection!! Highly recommended. The food... well the chips and Guam were good. Guac was a little under salted and over limed for me but I asked for salt and problem solved. We also got the black beans and corn from the sides menu. Both were decent. But the tacos left much to be desired. I got the crisply fish and al pastor tacos. The fish was not crispy and was only topped with a super acidic slaw (slaw being just cabbage and vinegar). But the al pastor was just nasty. Sticky sweet cubes of pork that tasted unpleasantly pork like or gamey... idk how to describe it. Then it was topped with cubed pineapple which was so sweet, it could have been doles canned pineapples. I'm not from here but I could definitely come back for drinks and appetizers. But never again for the tacos.

We got a pitcher of the spicy pineapple margarita, tacos and the trio and we're super happy with all of it! Only thing is I feel like the pitchers have gotten more expensive I don't recall them being +$45, while a “good value” just a little steep. They do make all the mixers like that and everything in house so of course they're incredible just pricey. With that being said I will definitely comeback and order a pitcher again!

The food was delicious. We enjoyed the trio appetizer. Guacamole was freshly made and the 2 salsa had great flavor. The service was lovely. We had a very attentive server. The prices were reasonable. I would definitely return.

Family & I went with a reservation. Service was great, and the food was not only stellar but gorgeously presented. Staff asked for any dietary restrictions immediately. We got 'The Trio' (guac and two types of salsa), and the salsas tasted very atypical, but delicious. My family got various tacos while I got chicken taquitos, which were amazing! Not too much in terms of non-alcoholic drinks, if you don't drink (like me). The lighting indoors was pretty poor, as they had the window open while it was bright outside but the indoor lighting couldn't keep up. Would probably be easier to see if it was nighttime. They were playing old westerns with captions & no sound on the TVs, and country and rock music. The music was a touch too loud to have a conversation with my family, let alone the staff! But not impossible. Overall it was great. Not too crowded either, but with the good amount of seating I don't think it would be a nightmare during a busy night.

Oh my, another great place bites the dust! I know that it is very difficult to find wait staff these days but food and drink quality should not be in question. We've been going to Bakersfield OTR since it opened but had to forego when Covid hit. Then the terrible border mess began resulting in some safety concerns in OTR but we finally decided to give the place of great Margaritas and food another go today. Parking is always an issue but that isn't Bakersfield's fault. After we got our table it was over 20 minutes before we saw a waitress. We ordered Margaritas, an order of chips and queso AND an order guacamole to have while we pondered a meal. Another 20 minutes and a server brought the chips and queso. No margaritas yet. We asked about the guacamole and the server said, "Oh, you want that too?" Another 20 minutes and finally both the guacamole and the margaritas came. In the meantime the queso was a tasteless and gritty semiliquid mess not nearly as good as we remembered nor were the margaritas. The tacos were, well, okay but there is little reason, in our opinion, to brave the danger of OTR and have hideous service, markedly poor quality food and drinks. We won't be returning! What a shame!

Our food and drinks were fabulous. I think our server forgot to put our order in because it took a LONG time to get which isn't typical for this restaurant. Manager came over and took the pitcher of margaritas off our bill, so all good in the end.
