I'm not one to take pictures of my food, but I am the one who always orders seafood when I go to a new or different restaurant. Every single time I was so disappointed UNTIL La Jaiba! Had the shrimp burrito for lunch and their fish tacos as take out for dinner. For the first time at a new place, they were amazing! I highly recommend La Jaiba on Montgomery Road. Perfection! And give them your business during Lent, they don't disappoint.

The smell when you walk in is mesmerizing. The food is spectacular. Well seasoned and delicious. Unfortunately, the service we had on our first visit was less than spectacular. Barely any interaction when we walked in and were seated. The server only took our order and never came back. We had to flag someone else down to get the check and a to-go box. Still, worth trying doe the food. We'll give them a 2nd chance.

My favorite Mexican place in Cincy, and this coming from a guy who lived in Los Angeles for 18 years. Owned by a wonderful family who puts their heart and soul into the place. Whatever you're into, you'll find something to delight you here. And the Margs pack a punch. Can't recommend highly enough!

Good food, the seafood burrito has way too much squid for my liking but my cat appreciated it. The tacos are a great deal.

The best Mexican food! If you like spicy, ask for their hotter salsa.

Some of the best Mexican food I have tried in the area. Fair prices and large portions. On our most recent visit we tried the molcajete for two. Delicious and had plenty left over to take home.

La Jaiba is a hidden gem, a hole-in-the-wall spot that is truly a family-owned and operated treasure. I find myself preferring this authentic spot over the larger chain restaurants. The food here is beyond top-notch; every dish is a testament to the love and passion that goes into their cooking. The chips and salsa are absolutely amazing, setting the stage for a delightful culinary experience. What sets La Jaiba apart, though, is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. They treat you like family from the moment you walk in.I must admit, I'm reluctantly writing this review because La Jaiba feels like a little secret spot that I almost want to keep to myself. However, the incredible experience and delicious desserts simply can't go unnoticed. It's a place worth sharing, and I highly recommend giving it a try—you won't be disappointed!

Ordered cheese dip, carne asada, sopapillas. Football game was on and plenty of tvs to be able to watch. Food was superb. Plenty of flavor. Heat without being too hot. Service was great - attentive and friendly. This may be our new fave place!

I came to review just because I was thinking about this wonderful restaurant again. We eat here several times a month and everything I've had from the tacos to the tamales to the enchiladas are top-notch. Rice and beans are always delicious, tortillas are fresh and the chips and salsa are great. The one dish I dream about here is the Camarones a la Diabla, but I usually get something different each time. The salsas are on point. Great mole! Guacamole is phenomenal. Truly not enough I can say to do this place justice you just have to experience it for yourself.

We were visiting Cincy and just going to grab takeout. The place was cute and quiet so we decided to eat in. The salsa and chips were so fresh. The food was seasoned so well I had to compliment them in person! I never had seasoned Mexican food! Portions are large. My Husband couldn't even finish. We will definitely be back!
