This is a great restaurant. The fusion of the flavors and the style of the food was excellent. It was hard to decide what to get as there are multiple intriguing items on the menu. The staff was attentive, but not overbearing, and our food was ready very quickly. The only thing that I can really say that was even close to a downside was that it was somewhat noisy in the restaurant when we were there; however, this could vary based on the crowd that is there at the time. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation.I will not hesitate to go to this restaurant in the future. Highly recommended.

Absolutely delicious fish taco and queso fundido. Even though it was doordashed, it arrived still warm. Probably THE best chips I've ever had from a restaurant!

First time eating here and it was fantastic ?. Absolutely loved our waitress. She was very friendly and patient. The food is everything you could ask for and then some. Great choices and freshly made. Full of flavors. The atmosphere was casual and relaxing. The restaurant was very clean. Been awhile since I've been to a restaurant that actually met my expectations. I can't wait to go back if I'm ever in town again.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available

What an amazing find!Food - legitimately unique and solid. From the solid fries to the great cook on the pork belly to the real flavor in the sides with the tacos, this was a skilled foodie's latin food haven in the middle of Cincy.Cocktails - 11/10 best in town. They took the time to make their own homemade syrups, but they were flavored and BALANCED, not just sugar bombs with booze. The balance of spice / salt / sweet / sour / booze in their mezcalita and margarita were truly enjoyable.Service - TJ is a rockstar. The kind of genuine and fun foodie that is RUNNING to keep the house going and knows the menu / people well. Highly skilled. Will be back every single time we visit Cincy for certain.

So we stumbled upon this place while searching for local Latin American Mexican cuisine in Cincinnati to cater to our wedding. First off, the host and waitress (Tj and Jayla) gave us some of the most personal, exceptional service we have ever had. The food was absolutely amazing! We mainly stuck to their traditional tacos but also loved the asian inspired tacos as well. Also loved the dip platter, their queso blanco is probably the best I have had in Cincinnati. Would definitely recommend this lesser known joint for a relaxed date night.

This is me and my kids must favorite restaurant in the city. We've been coming to this restaurant since about 2018/19. I'm vegan and the food and drinks are incredible! TJ is an absolute gem! He remembers my favorite orders and even my friends orders too. In December '23 I hosted a dinner here in their event room with a group of about 23 people (vegans and omnivores) and everyone loved the food and experience. Lalo is great!Vegetarian options: A good amount of vegan friendly options!Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for dietary restrictions.Kid-friendliness: This is one of if not my kids most favorite restaurant in the city.

I loved the menu options. Interesting fusion of Latin/southwest foods with Asian dishes. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is bright and casual. Prices were reasonable and the portions are large! Our server, Jayla, was awesome - very attentive and charismatic. The homemade chips and guacamole are a must try!

Usually I give this place a 5 star because every other time I have eaten here has been an amazing experience, but unfortunately today all three ? were lacking in the flavor I'm use to. I will give a 5 star to the atmosphere and my waitress Linn, who was very nice.

Lalo Chino presents a modern take of Latin and Asian cuisine in a slightly hip but casual dining experience. I've only eaten here a couple times, and have only ordered their Latin food, but it is so good that I have a hard time peeling away from that continent and ordering from the Asian options - although I'm a big fan of both! The taco and lettuce wrap combo is a must try - there are about a dozen options to choose from, and you get to choose your three favorites. I opted for the mango lime shrimp, cauliflower curry, and Asian fried chicken. All were very good, although the batter was a bit heavy on the chicken and cauliflower. The shrimp had a very rich flavor, but my favorite was the curry cauliflower for best overall combination of flavors.I ordered the side of beans and rice, and although the black beans had a nice seasoning, I was a little disappointed that they served plain white rice instead of a Spanish seasoned rice. With that said, it was still worth the add-on.The service was friendly and the environment was inviting, although it doesn't take much to turn into a noisy restaurant with just a handful of people dining there. The food is usually delivered promptly, which is nice since it looks like their staffing is generally light.Their menu has a lot of nice options without being overwhelming in choice, and I definitely want to come back at least 10 more times to try the other dishes they offer!

Arrived and there were only 2 free tables as they were all booked up. We opted to sit at the window because we really wanted Ramen. Waitress came over within 10 minutes to take our order. Took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive which is understandable due to the crowd but our food was not hot. We ate our starters and decided we would take our Ramen to go so that we could reheat it. Informed the waitress and she offered to get us fresh Ramen to go. That's the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars. The owner them came over and asked what was the issue. Informed her we felt like we were forgotten and our food must've sat in the kitchen because nothing was hot. She stated that wasn't the case. This was my 7th time eating there 2 of those times were carryout and my food was always piping hot. Ramen would still be steaming hot by the time I made it home which is 25 minutes away. We were given a 10% credit and no apologies from the owner. The waitress was apologetic.

I've been here 2 times & both times have been exceptionally well. I really enjoy the fusion of asian & latin foods. The environment is pretty nice inside, they have booths along the way & bar seating although I haven't seen anyone sit there, perhaps because I tend to go in the noon. We've tried the Lalo Fry's Nachos, at first it may seem very odd to put fries with some white sauce but it's not. It goes pretty well with it along with the pico de gallo, bits of cilantro & bits of corn. Fries are crisp & soft. I forgot the other main dishes but can't seem to find them on their menu. Overall i believe the food was great, it was a great combination with the foods I've tried so far & can't wait to go another time to try the rest of itVegetarian options: Some items are vegetarian, not all. As well Gluten Free on some.
