Absolutely love Nicolas. I always recommend it to friends when they want an upscale, nice dinner that’s worth the price. The service is fantastic and I’m always impressed with our server’s knowledge of the wine and food menu. You also gotta get the bread basket! I always have a delightful time, Nicolas never disappoints.
Nicola's is a great upscale Italian option in Cincinnati. I came here for two work dinners and really enjoyed the food and service both times, with a cozy warm ambiance. I definitely recommend the truffle gnocchi, and there are some great dessert drinks including the affogato and the sgroppino!

There's certainly a reason they've been around for so long....... everything we had was amazing. I'm not sure why we waited so long to try it, but we're glad we went. The pasta is hands down better than anywhere else in town. Service was top notch. We had a fantastic evening celebrating.

Went to celebrate dual birthdays. My friend's daughter made the reservation based on her previous experience at Nicola's. We had a 430pm reservation on a Saturday. It wasn't busy when we got there but filled up quickly. Our server did a fantastic job and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent and the ingredients fresh. The bread service was amazing, maybe for me the best part of the meal. Well, maybe not the BEST part, but certainly up there. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too stuffy. Some people were really dressed up and others casual. Seemed like the menu was larger than say, Sotto or Boca, but maybe not quite as creative as those 2 places. But still just as good. Little on the pricier side but worth it.
The food is awesome, service outstanding, and the atmosphere is hip. The only problem is that the food is so great, I wish there was more of it. Portions seemed to be small while the prices were large. After a $262 dollar dinner for my wife and I, we were still hungry when we got home. Increase the portion sizes, and I would gladly rank 5 stars.Dietary restrictions: Waitress asked about dietary restrictions which my wife has. The Waitress then assisted her in selecting entrees that were safe.

I have eaten here numerous times; and the staff here never cease to amaze me. They are on top of everything. From the food, to the service, to the wine recommendations. They do everything on the highest level possible; the food and atmosphere truly makes you feel like you’re back in Italy!
i personally believe that this place should have on the menu ts nasty. it was nice on the inside i give them that great service but the food wasn’t to par. it actually shocked my taste buds. had me weak in the knees. please think twice if you’re not into distinct tasting food when coming here
