This experience was… perfect. Sorry the photos aren’t the best quality, I was too excited to eat. The food was *chefs kiss* absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. I wish I could give 10 stars— probably my new favorite place in Cincinnati.

Sotto is one of those restaurants you have to try in Cincinnati. I’ve been here multiple times and you really can’t go wrong with most of the items on the menu! My favorite is the goat cheese appetizer, Cappellacci and the breaded pork loin. And can’t forget the donuts for dessert!

The restaurant was really dark but the food was delicious! Pricey but worth it. My server constantly checked in on how we were doing! Recommend the steak in the photo (forgot the name of it ???) and the honey bread thing!! ? so good!

Where to start, whew... this place does not disappoint! If you're not looking for this place, you can definitely pass it. Made a reservation for 8 on a Thursday night, walked in and were seated right away. First thing is its very DIM in here, whew we need light, lol. But very cozy and intimate restaurant. I had the Cappellacci - short rib, shallot, thyme for my meal. Others at the table ordered the goat cheese, hazelnut honey, grilled bread - I had never tried goat cheese, but this bread is chef's kiss and patate and/or fingerling potato, salsa verde, pepperoncini - so good! To drink I had the Almafi (putting it out there to make it to the almafi coast one day). Jason the server was excellent! He went through the menu with us, answered questions and provided answers - very patient. Gratuity for large party was added, Jason advises of this when he returned with the checks. If I'm back in the cincy area, definitely will check if they have an opening, it did not disappoint - honestly!

Hands down great experience! I've never gone to a restaurant before and had the server make me feel like I was joining them for dinner in their home for the first time. To keep it short, the pistachio ice cream is probably the most amazing thing I've ever tasted and Bailey was the best server I've ever experienced. Thank you Sotto, those two things alone are sure to keep us coming back!

Extremely salty, didn’t get any other flavors rather than salt, it just kept building and I got the mouth tingling feeling. Plenty of reviews over the years stating the same. I guess some people like food like this? Bring your blood pressure medication!

Sotto has a very authentic Italian menu that I love from top to bottom; cocktails/wines, small plates, pastas, entrees, desserts.. so much sounded good, and I'd be willing to try just about anything. I spent waaaay too much time deciding what to order on my first visit, and I felt like I was already planning my second trip before my first bite! There's a discreet, basement entryway that feels kind of like a speakeasy. The place is dimly lit with a classy date night vibe.. 10/10 ambiance. For the food: the aioli on the oil-packed tuna pane worked magic for me.. perfect start, excellent dish. The quail was super tender and juicy, skillfully cooked, and I'd grade the flavors on that plate 7.5/10. I passed on pasta and cocktails on my first visit, but I'll definitely come back for those. The affogato was a light and delicious dessert you can make room for. My server was very good with descriptions and recommendations, and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Go make yourself a reservation or make use of their walk-in bar seating!

Great food and experience! They do a great job of timing the servings of all the courses. I left feeling satisfied with the amount of food I had. The fact it all tasted delicious obviously helped. Would highly recommend!
