Had breakfast here this morning with my son. The food was pretty good and the service also pretty good. However, it seems like everyone (15-20 customers) was seated in the back by the kitchen. I know that made it easier on the wait staff, but I prefer not be seated next to the kitchen. I had the breakfast plate and my son had an omelette with a side of bacon. They serve you more food than most folks can eat - we both left food on our plate, as did the folks next to us. I notice one person took a "to go box" with him. In my opinion, prices are above average for breakfast. I will return, but this is not my first place to go for breakfast.

I went with a group of 4 total. One of us first ordered a flight of beer and when asked which beer was what, the server did not know and when she got back from asking, we were told that we got random beers, not the ones listed on the menu. I then ordered a different flight a beer after the waiter knew we wanted the beers listed on the menu not random ones. The same thing happened, the beers were not the ones ordered. When it comes to the food, I got the pasta which tasted good but was over cooked and mushy. To top it all off, despite the restaurant not being very busy the whole nigh, they sat us next to the garage door that connected to the outside when it was 45 degrees outside and very cold by the windows. This was despite there being plenty of room throughout the rest of the restaurant. There was a slightly nice gesture from the bartender, she brought us 1 extra sample of beer but, I didn’t want the extra random sample, I wanted the beers I ordered initially. I am unsure if this was a server or bartender issue but, I expect to get what I order.

Came here on New Year's Day with the wife and kids. Virtually no wait, which was nice. The restaurant is very spacious, with tons of natural light. I ordered the southwestern waffle and it was *incredibly* good. I was a bit skeptical of using waffles as bread, but all my doubts are gone. It works! And the chipotle mayo is super good, both for the sandwich and for dipping fries. Taken together, loved it here. Would definitely come back.

Me and my mother went in yesterday for lunch. I can honestly say that it was very good! The employees were even so cool! Compared to other locations, this one is by far my favorite!

Taste of Belgium is pretty consistent in my experience. We were there at a strange time (too late for lunch and too early for dinner, 2:00 on a Sunday) so I expected everything to be fresh. Our server was very nice but slow to respond. We had two people order drinks and it was at least 15 minutes before they arrived--ordered when food order was placed and arrived after food. The food had all sat under the warmer for quite a long time without being brought to our table so nothing was hot. It was okay but not great. I'll give it another go but with my guard up.

Tried this place again after a disappointing meal last year and was glad I did! The food was excellent and the server was super helpful when we asked about different options. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles. We went at a slow time (3PM - 4PM) which I also recommend. The server has more time for you and it's a better experience. Multiple employees stopped by the table and we were able to speak with them. Definitely will return in the future!

Not very Belgian anymore. Few crepes, no galettes, no carbonnade. Still have Frites and waffles and to die for desserts. Lot of hamburgers on the menu. Changedthe "hand-helds" too, not in ways I found attractive. Service was very good.

I always love Taste of Belgium and was glad to have the opportunity to check out the Rookwood location. It did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the place is bright and airy, and the service was phenomenal.

What a WIN to find T of B without a wait during peak Saturday dinner hours! Definitely would recommend keeping this location in mind, especially when in a pinch. The bartender was amazing. She was very pleasant and helpful -- welcoming us, taking our initial order, and later seating us. The servers were great also, very kind, attentive, and proactive. I ordered the Beltucky Hot Brown, T of B's take on a Kentucky Hot Brown sandwich. It's a local favorite that I'd recommend to anyone visiting the area. The sweet and savory flavor combination is unique. Interestingly, in this context, the flavor of the waffle reminded me of a yeast dinner roll. The breakfast plate with goetta was well rated by my guest. The goetta patty here is firm, more like sausage, which we both preferred. The chocolate torte was the low point of the evening. The cake was dry/crumbly, and the ganache's texture was gritty. Based on color, we expected a rich, dark chocolate flavor; however, the dessert was alarmingly sweet. The flavor reminded us of creme filled easter chocolates.
