“My boyfriend and I came here today, and every part of the meal was perfect. We started with Veg Samosa which were absolutely amazing. It came with two sauces that I did not get the name for, the green sauce was mildly spicy and tangy, and the dark red sauce was sweet and savory. I definitely preferred the red sauce but both were good with the samosa. The samosa itself was hot and perfect. The filling was flavorful and honestly they were massive for the price. For our meals, we got the chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, and some garlic naan. The chicken curry was spicy and flavorful with perfectly cooked chicken and the tikka masala was flavorful and had nicely cooked chicken aswell, I did wish the tikka masala was more spicy but thats only due to me ordering it not spicy. I could smell the garlic naan across the restaurant and it did not disappoint. The flavors of the naan and the tikka masala together were amazing. After our meal, our server, Indra, brought out some sweet and delicious Gulab Jumin.Overall, the experience was amazing, the price was well worth the amount of food that came out, and the staff was so kind. 10/10 would recommend getting food from Layla's kitchen.“
“I must give credit where credit is due. This is one of the most astonishing establishments I was amazed to see that it is family owned, and woman owned, which is very hard to find nowadays you could tell it was family owned by the welcoming atmosphere, and everyone was very attentive helpful, and knowledgeable we ordered the tandoori chicken and I must say WOW the presentation was out of this world. It came in a mini clay oven, which was smoking and that caught my eye WOW WOW WOW....as well as the dal bhakura (not sure how to spell it :)) which had a very smoky taste to it. This right here is what I call true authentic Indian food we will definitely come back and anything I say is less from how amazing the food was it was a fantastic experience and it's perfect to bring your family and anyone you bring to this place will be amazed, and it would definitely leave an image in their eyes from top to bottom. This restaurant was mind blowing an outstanding. I have visited many Indian restaurants, but I've never had such an amazing experience like this I cannot forget the moment I entered the restaurant and welcoming. It was from sitting down, reading the menu to eating the food even though it was packed, everyone was super attentive and was ready to help at any moment. I didn't have an empty glass during the whole experience as soon as my water would get empty someone would come to fill it up, which shows no matter how busy they were, they were attentive and gave us the best care the owner is also the head chef and I must say you can tell she is putting a lot of effort from how amazing the food taste, and the recipes. I don't even know what to say because no words can give it just from how amazing the food was, I definitely definitely recommend for everyone to come this place thank you to the New India family for making an amazing enjoyable memory for us... WE WILL BE BACK I wish we would've taken more pictures, but everyone was so quick and devouring the food because it was so tender and moist, but most importantly absolutely delicious“
“OMG, THEIR MOMO'S ARE BETTER THAN MOMO GHAR's ...!!! Yea, I said it. That's speaking sacrilege in this town. But I liked Khaja Ghar's momo's better. Really. Seriously. Honestly. Better... I love the foodie town Columbus has become. When I moved here in the 1980's to go to Ohio State, there were only 3 great restaurants (Refectory, Bexley's Monk, and Ziggy's Continental), and the "ethnic cuisine" options were Mexican at El Vacquero or Chinese at Hunan Lion. That was about it. There weren't many other ethnic foods available. My, how things have changed. Today, Columbus is an amazing and very colorful tapestry of people from different backgrounds, home countries, ethnicities, and their foods. It's pretty amazing. Many of my favorite small, very authentic restaurants are on Morse Road or 161 between I-71 and Cleveland Avenue. The variety and authenticity of the restaurants in this area is incredible. Khaja Ghar is among the best I've found. The jhol momo's are pretty incredible. I think I paid $11.99 for 8 BIG momo's in an incredibly flavorful, delicious red sauce. ("Jhol" momos are drowned in delicious red chutney sauce). I had the Pork Johl Momo's, and I'd beg to get them again and again and again. They're that good. I also had the Thupka soup - flavorful and very satisfying on a grey, cold Ohio January day. As noted in other reviews, it was a little salty, and the spaghetti noodles flip around and cause you to slop a little broth on your shirt, but I love rich, flavorful soup in the winter and this was good enough to order again. The garlic naan was only OK - I'll skip the naan next time. The mango lassi was good - I'd get it again. But the momo's - OMG the momo's - SO GOOD. So delicious. Awe-inspiring. I started to write this review by saying "I have no words to tell you how much I loved their momo's", and then it came to me - I like their momo's better than Momo Ghar's, and I really love Momo Ghar. These are just bigger and better. And a better value. I'm a big guy and a bowl of these (8 big momo's for $11.99) would fill me up completely. Happily. I'm not dissing Momo Ghar - they're awesome. So is Khaja Ghar. I'll probably get hate mail. There will be protestors outside our house. I'll get impeached from Yelp Elites. Banned from Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. That's fine. I'll order Doordash from Khaja Ghar and feed everyone and make converts. Khaja Ghar is in a brightly painted building along Morse Road about halfway between Menard's and Cleveland Avenue. Think a small place opened on a budget by immigrants excited to bring their food to you. Kinda dive-y, in the best sort of way. The inside is very clean. The people are nice. I felt completely and totally welcome, even though all other patrons on this Saturday afternoon were Nepali families. The sign out front says "Nepali * Indian * American". I love that. This is a hidden gem. Go. Just go. Get a Mango Lassi and a bowl of Pork Johl Momo's and skip everything else on the menu during your first visit. You'll thank me. Then you'll go back, and you'll thank me again. It's THAT GOOD. I'm already thinking about taking my wife, and some friends, even though I'm still full... :-) (PRO TIP - if you want a REALLY multicultural experience, go grocery shopping at Saraga Market (only 1 mile west on Morse Road), then go to Khaja Ghar...“
“Mehak has become my favorite Indian restaurant. Ordered 4 entrees and 2 appetizers to share and they were all top notch. In the notes section I requested limited packaging (plastic, etc.) and was thrilled my order was placed in a cardboard box without utensils or double wrapped containers. So appreciated the care and attention given to the out of the ordinary request.“
“I needed something for my kids to eat, we decided to try something new and in the area. We were bless to found Clove. From the prices to the service an quality of the food was Amazing. The owner was hands on which impresses me more. We will return and I recommend this “
“Very tasty north Indian food in a spacious, well decorated space. The service was friendly and attentive, and the portions were generous for the price. Very convenient if you're staying in one of the nearby hotels, will come again when I'm in town.“
“Amazing & delicious food with great service! Interior is nicely decorated and so clean & well kept. Host was very nice and answered our question when asked what he recommends. Ordered butter chicken & chicken tikka masala - both of them delicious and soooo flavorful. Got normal & garlic naan ? mango lassi to drink- which was a lil weird since it’s like drinkable yogurt but went good with the food. Can’t wait to be back next time in columbus!“
“This is a gem of a Michelin-quality restaurant that Columbus is truly lucky to have. It’s called “progressive Indian” for a reason - modern takes on Indian flavors prepared with elegance and sophistication. If you are looking for a giant portion of cheap, standard Indian fare, you’re thinking the wrong way. This is an elegant fine dining experience with taste and presentation to match. The food was exceptional. My only request would be to add a few more vegan dishes to the menu. We shared the cauliflower appetizer, the stuffed eggplant, basmati, and roti. This was enough for the two of us, although, if we were coming with some additional friends, we would really want to try multiple dishes. That is OK, and certainly won’t stop me from coming back (often!) to this innovative and special spot! Service is as attentive and friendly. The interior design is absolutely spectacular and first class, just beautiful. Columbus, do you know how lucky we are lucky to have Indian fine dining!?“
“M.A Grill and Pizza continues to impress my wife and I every time we visit. On this visit, I had a lamb gyro, which was delicious, and she had a New York-style pizza, also delicious, even as leftovers (we took the unfinished portion home). The service is top-notch. We will definitely return for more.“
“Been here a few times and the food has been amazing every time. They do always seem to be out of something, today was the mango lassi and the mint and tamarind sauces which was a bummer but the butter chicken and samosas with the tomato sauce were still superb. I asked them to make the butter chicken very spicy and it was perfect, creamiest butter chicken I have ever had. My go to any time I'm craving Indian or Nepali food for sure. Bonus I can place my order and then go shop and pick it up when I'm done.“
“5th time eating here, consistently impressive! Tila, the owner, runs a clean, professional and very tasty business guaranteed to satisfy. Recommend first trying the Tikka Masala, Bhel Poori, Garlic Naan, and chicken or shrimp 65. Gulab Jamun and Mango lassi are a great finish. Fully recommend, 5/5!“
“Haveli bistro is so delicious. They offer a menu with so many choices but it is all great. The cocktail I got (last lassi) was SO good! The restaurant is upscale inside and it is a good place to go for a nice date or celebration. I am already planning my next visit!!Vegetarian options: They have specific sections of menu that are all vegetarian including veggie appetizers and veggie main courses (some of the options are saag paneer, malai kofta, and chana masala and so much more!)“
“Absolutely amazing lamb curry and chicken tikka masala, the best I've had in ages. The establishment is pretty quiet with no music and the TV was on pause, which can be a pro or a con depending on who you are. They don't deal in "white people spicy", so if you're not a spice hound then get medium for your curry!Vegetarian options: They label all dishes that are vegetarian friendly, and whether or not it has dairy in it. They have a section on the menu dedicated to veggie curries.Dietary restrictions: Common allergies are labeled clearly.“
“Never had Indian food before.. try the butter chicken and Naan was amazing ? (will be the favorite ❣️) But ready to try some new things❣️ Wonderful people and service❣️ Well recommend to everyone❣️ The only reason to go to Columbus ❣️??“
“Went with our Indian coworker, and she loved it as did all the team. I love Indian food, and they're was even some new things for me to try. It's definitely authentic and delicious. The lunch buffet is the way to go if you want to try lots of different dishes.“
“Have been there once for dinner and another time on the weekend for brunch buffet. The Dinner outing was really good, they had authentic tasting Pakistani/Indian food. Breakfast buffet, food was good, service very slow, naan and paratha would run out for a long time. Beef was tough in nehari, seemed like they were done separately. Ambiance was like a fast food restaurant. I would go again for the food though.“
“Went here with my brother to catch up over dinner and honestly had the best service! The server was very kind and accommodating, we also spoke to the chef who was very friendly! The food was amazing we are definitely coming back, 5 Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Great food- and authentic. It almost felt like I was eating dosa in South India and having lassi after many, many years.Parking: Parking spots right in front of the store are limited but I don't think there is any problem finding parking when we visited.“
“Foods great and the operator, Amit, is super nice.We had the chicken tikka masala burrito (awesome, wish we had 5) and the lamb pizza but chicken instead of lamb (also fantastic - had a fast green sauce as a topping).Looking forward to going back“
“The food is very good and reasonable price. Their new cake collection is very good. Before we had to go very far to get mango cake/ blackforest cake. This is bery close to our house. They always prepare cake if you tell them a day earlier. And their cakes taste better than the otger store cakes.“
“Yesterday I had visited Bawarchi and tried their special Chicken Mandi which is absolutely delicious and deserves a solid 5-star rating. The dish is a flavorful journey from the first bite to the last. The tender chicken pairs perfectly with the fragrant rice, creating a delightful blend of spices and textures. It's evident that the chef has a knack for crafting this traditional Arabian dish. The staff were very welcoming and explained us about the dish which made us even more enthusiastic. Alongside top-notch service and a great atmosphere, Bawarchi's Chicken Mandi is a must-try for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.“
“Small place that reminded me of when I’ve been in East Asia. First time I’ve had Indian food where the chicken was not all dried out. Everything was really good and the staff is friendly. And I like a buffet where I can pick what I want. A hole in the wall place I’d recommend to folks who like trying international food.“
“The food was amazing, the owner was awesome my family and I were interested in this mango drink they had so he gave us one all to try and the this potato's thing I think it was called somboose not sure but it was amazing with the green sauce. I will be going back. Thank u so much for you “
“The inside was very nice and the service was excellent. The waitress was super helpful with helping us decide what to get and when we got the food it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for good Indian food that is a little less Americanized than most. Delicious garlic naan too!“
“This is a cloud kitchen inside Dakshin. The food is amazing and the service is great. It satisfied my craving/desire for Indian cuisine in a convenient wrap. They will also do it as a bowl to go. Either way, it was amazing.Vegetarian options: There are multiple vegetarian and vegan options, and meat options for carnivores as well. Everyone could get something they enjoy for a reasonable price.“
“We decided to give this a try. Food was wonderful, came out quickly and we enjoyed our paneer kadai and the tomato uttupham. Both were fantastic. The dining area is small and the grocery store offers a lot to watch while you wait. The music was fun too. Would absolutely go again. I’m having a dosa next time.“
“Amazing Food and Amazing owners. I ordered Nihari and Seekh Kabab and was 45 mins late but the owner kept the shop running and understood that it was out of my control. He was really nice about it too. The food was fresh and extremely tasty. I Dont live in Columbus but will definitely find reasons to go back because I wanna order more things and try them out as well!“
“Pretty bare bones in terms of decor and little ambience. Pretty empty, too. The waiter was friendly and efficient but then disappeared for long periods of time. When people came in to pick up their orders, they were confused as to whether to pick it up and go or let the staff know. Some just took their food and other people called out to get someone's attention.I ordered the Reshmi Chicken Tikka platter and everything tasted good but the combination of the naan, rice and chicken was dry and needed some sauce. The dressing for the salad was really good and I could have drizled that over my rice but there wasn't enough. My friend ordered the Alo palak and liked it.Lots of misspelled words in the menu but not a big deal. They can fix it next time around.“
“I dined at Agni last night. From the moment we walked in the door we were encompassed in hospitality. Our waiter went above and beyond to make us comfortable and describe the components of each course. I absolutely loved the tasting menu and the surprises along the way. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had and worth every penny. I did the vegetarian course and my companions did the main tasting menu. I felt like I was tasting complex flavor combinations that just intensified with each bite. Highly recommend going for your own special occasions.“
