“First time in a L-O-N-G time here. Very impressed. Been living in TX for past 11 yrs and haven't found a single Mexican restaurant there that is even passable! Maybe we should ship some of the chefs up here down there, so there'd be decent restaurants there too!??? It's pretty funny (& sad) that I had to come North for a visit to find good Mexican food!!! Well done, El Vaquero!!“
“This is such a nice little Greek restaurant. I often get the salads here, and the produce they use is always very fresh. The gyros are generously portioned, and the fries are really good. My favorite though is the shawarma. It is so delicious. The kids have enjoyed the chicken fingers and fried shrimp. The staff is also very kind and welcoming. This is a great little restaurant!“
“Matty was fantastic, as always! I requested him upon making reservations to attend to myself and 5 friends. We were seated outside of his station but he made every effort possible to make us feel welcome and appreciated. The food exceeded expectations, which is why I frequent The Avenue again and again.“
“Blessed with the service. Super friendly and helpful. Need a quick bite? Come here. Need something on your way from work? Come here. Really quick to get in and get out. Great place from J RParking: Didn’t have to look for a spaceKid-friendliness: Very respectful!“
“Think you have to go to California for authentic Japanese? While Akai Hana has "Americanized" sushi etc on the menu, they also do excellent sashimi dishes and tempura as good as anyone. Sure, I'd love to be enjoying this in Kyoto or at the fish market in Hakodate, but to find this level of quality on the eastern fringes of the American Midwest? Akai Hana scores big. Great staff at the sashimi counter, so definitely try to get a seat there.Low carb? Keto? Carnivore? Paleo? Akai Hana has choices and choices to suit your personal nutritional style!!Dietary restrictions: Low carb friendlyKeto friendlyCarnivore friendlyPaleo friendlyParking: Parking available on both sides - the Japanese market side and the Kenny Center side.“
“Love their spam masubi and boba tea. Last few times they haven't had boba and subbed for jellies which isn't my favorite, but the tea is still very good. Have had a few things on the menu and liked everything I have tried.Parking: It's on a strip mall so there is limited parking.“
“For a fast food, fried seafood place in Columbus this shop can't be beat. The food comes out fast, the staff is nice, and overall you get a good bang for your buck. I would say the crab cakes weren't necessarily the best, but for the price there is a great crab flavor in it compared to some places that lack that in lieu of cheaper ingredients, and I'd gladly spend about $10 on a crab cake platter compared to almost 3x as much else where despite it being slightly lacking. The fried smelts were exactly what I expected and the Mac salad and chips were top notch. I'll be coming back again for sure“
“Delicious food. Our first time there and I cannot have MSG which has limited Asian food for me but I love it. This is my new favorite Asian restaurant! The owner/cook came out to assure me they don't use it in anything! The service was good. The food excellent and the atmosphere was very nice. I recommend!“
“We dined in the new enclosed patio area and it was very beautiful room, the service and food was wonderful only minor downside was the amount of noise in their new section sound seemed to bounce off everything and it was difficult to carry on conversation at our table for 4. We had salad, Berkshire pork chop and pasta all of it well cooked and full of flavor. Looking forward to visiting again but I'll avoid the new seating area on busy nights.“
“We came here to watch the live band, and we absolutely loved Boaterhead. We did not make reservations, should have though. The owner was so freaking amazing! He guided us to the area with the pool tables and made sure our group had barstools and were comfortable. We also talked a bit and come to find out one of our friends is a regular at another bar he owns. Great conversation. He was truly enjoying his job and taking care of customers. We enjoyed playing pool.We totally enjoyed the loaded tator tots! The bartenders were great. Attentive. Quick. We don't come here too often. We live in Hilliard, and it's quite the drive. But we always have a great time when we do. Highly recommend!!“
“Fantastic food and service. The lobster rolls, lobster gouda chips, lobster bisque, oysters and other menu items are delicious. Fun atmosphere being inside the Bridge Park Market. The GM Daniel is very friendly. I definitely recommend COLO.Parking: Two garages near by.“
“Absolutely LOVE this place! We come like once a week in the winter. Always get the hot pot. Good stays fresh and tastes so good!!!! Literally a ritual for us. I used to have hot pot when I lived in Boston and love how many options this particular place offers.“
“Great food and great atmosphere. The staff was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant for your next celebration. I had my Mom's 85th birthday party with about 30 guests. Its been a long time since I have experienced this kind of service. 5 stars for sure“
“As soon as you walk in you're immersed in fantastic smells and the great atmosphere of the refined restaurant. The service was fantastic through to the end with great knowledge of the menu and being very attentive the whole time but not overbearing. The food was the highlight. The scallops were seared perfectly and not chewy at all. The steak was equally perfectly done. The bar also boasts many impressively crafted drinks. I will definitly be returning many times.“
“Food is solid and the service is pretty good.Got the chimichangas and the meat quality was great, though wish I'd gotten a bit more guac for the price.Overall a great place to eat if you have a large party or are looking for Mexican around OSU.“
“Wow what a fantastic little crab restaurant! Unassuming in it's strip mall location here and low key dining ambience but they definitely put all that effort back into their crab boil. Our food was out fast and amazingly delicious. We will definitely be eating here again.Side note, we got here a little earlier than the normal dinner rush time and thank goodness, by the time we were done it was packed.Side side note: Only two, unisex, single stall, bathrooms, I waited almost 10 minutes for one to free up, consider going before you go.“
“The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. The food? Stellar! We started with oysters on the half shell. Hubby had the King Crab with all the sides, Mama had prime rib and King Crab. Meat was cooked to order-rare! Crab, sweet, juicy. Hungry yet? Small, cozy venue. We had a very short wait at 6:00 pm. Highly recommend this long standing Columbus business.Parking: Located in a strip mall so plenty of free parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of wheelchair parking spots and we used one.“
“My family and I celebrated a wonderful "birthday dinner" on 11-11-2023 at El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant at 2195 Riverside Dr. in Upper Arlington.Over the years, I have eaten many times at the El Vaquero at 3230 Olentangy River Rd. but had never before eaten [as far as I can recall] at the El Vaquero at 2195 Riverside Dr.I had always assumed that the El Vaquero at 2195 Riverside Dr. is across the street from Upper Arlington but learned, several days after we had eaten there, while carefully checking the Upper Arlington map, that that restaurant is actually in Upper Arlington even though they are on the west side of Riverside Dr.We had arrived for our "birthday meal" during the late afternoon after we had briefly visited several places just north of there [Frank's Marathon and two locations within Griggs Reservoir Park] immediately before sunset so that I would be able to take some photographs of those places while the sun had still been shining. The restaurant had been nearly empty when we had arrived but quickly became crowded as people started to arrive for "happy hour" specials and/or for late-afternoon meals. My food choice that afternoon had been #40: "Chicken Burrito and Chicken Enchilada" [one burrito and one enchilada topped with lettuce, sour cream, and tomato].If you are looking for delicious Mexican food served in an energetic environment, I recommend El Vaquero [at any of their several locations].“
“Food was really good and the service was decent. However, after we left, my credit card was charged an amount I did not agree to. Someone added an even 30.00 to my check and charged my card that amount without my authorization at the restaurant. It couldn't have been a mistake as the amount added was not a simple digit off from my tip. Very shady... hopefully someone will reach out now that I left this review to discuss the matter since I haven't been able to reach anyone in two days now. The phone number to the restaurant appears to be a cell phone....UPDATE: Restaurant reached out and made things right with the charges on my credit card. Updating stars accordingly.Update 2023: raised to 5 stars. We frequent this restaurant and have never had another issue like above. The service is outstanding each and every time we come.“
“This restaurant is in a small strip mall area And there's plenty of parking. I went on a Wednesday evening. The service was good, and the food was good as well. My nephew got a free kids meal. I don't know if they offer free kids meals every day or just on Wednesdays but that was a nice surprise. The prices were very good. I got Carnitas street tacos and they were fantastic! It's nice to have a new restaurant option in the area.“
“SO good! EVERY time! We've ordered here several times for work lunches and this place is da bommmmmmmmb! The orders are always correct, with the additional sauce requests and everything! There's so many options and the ingredients are super fresh and delicious! When I stopped in to pick up the associates were super friendly and welcoming! The prices arn't bad and the portions are really good!I WILL be ordering from here again.“
“Honestly, EVERYTHING here was amazing. The food 10/10, service 10/10 and the hospitality of the environment. I definitely Recommend getting the fried Oreos as dessert. They were extremely delicious and quite cheap. Our server was a tall white man who was extremely kind and helped with every single request we had.“
“I was unaware of this place was even there here, until I door dashed someone food from here! But it's a family owned restaurant and they make everything right there where you can watch if you want !They were all super nice and definitely made me want to come back when I can actually try the food !So there will definitely be an edit coming as soon as I finally get to try the food myself !“
“We had a lovely dinner this evening. We were seated immediately. Our waiter, Caden, arrived right away and was very nice, helpful and attentive. (All the staff was nice.) Everything was quick to arrive and the food was hot and very good. So glad we came here tonight!“
