“This establishment has been a neighborhood fave for many years. The service and food is top notch, and the ambiance is perfect for families and friends. This is also a super spot for a date. Never be afraid to ask for substitutes in a meal, as they are always happy to meet your needs when able. They have a full bar, a birthday gong if you're celebrating another year older, and wonderful desserts.“
“Yummy Bowl Mongolian Grill is fairly new in Anderson. If you are new, they will explain how the Mongolian Grill experience works. You will select your raw ingredients from a fresh, cafeteria-style selection, filling a bowl with the vegetables and meats you would like included. After adding the seasonings and sauces you prefer, one of the chefs takes your bowl and prepares it for you as you wait back at your table. You also have an opportunity to order ala carte and from a complete sushi menu. We had two yummy bowls prepared as well as a Tiger Roll and Ahi Tuna from the sushi menu. All freshly prepared and excellent. Besides the excellent food, the price for this meal was welcome. It wasn’t much more than you would now pay with today’s inflated prices at a fast food restaurant. Remarkable value and fun experience. Always tables available when we go, so give it a try!“
“I've been wanting Asian food for a few months, so I stopped in to get carry out. I ordered online in advance. I was a little nervous because I ordered my chicken pad thai NO SPICY, but a lot of places put red pepper in anyway. It was absolutely perfect. I mean, PERFECT! No red peppers, no spicy, but full of flavor. It was super hot (temperature) and the container was full. I also got an egg roll which was plump and tasty. The problem is that I can't stop thinking about how good it was, so I'm going to have to go get more soon!!! A+++“
“Hard to choose, everything looks so good on the menu. Schezwan Triple is what my wife is eating, she really likes it with white rice. We split lettuce wraps first. I had the Singapore Noodles which is very tasty and they made it very spicy for me.The desert was very chocolaty and creamy she ate most of it while I wrote this.Parking: Make a hard right as you come in and the parking is on the right“
“Wife: "Let's get Chinese carryout, from The Asian Place."Husband: "Okay, from what restaurant?"Wife: "The Asian Place."Husband: "I know, but what's the name of the restaurant?"Wife: "I just told you. The Asian Place."Husband: [confused look] ????Seriously, a version of this plays out every time we order carryout from this restaurant! Definitely could use a better name. But the food is great, and they have updated their atmosphere to a more clean modern vibe, but with intimate booths. Everything I have ordered has been great; I particularly like the orange beef. Some of the best tasting basics I've had, like egg drop soup and shrimp fried rice. They have worked hard to keep this business going through the pandemic; please support this local business!Dietary restrictions: Many gluten-free options, including garlic chicken, which is not breaded!“
“This is a great restaurant. The fusion of the flavors and the style of the food was excellent. It was hard to decide what to get as there are multiple intriguing items on the menu. The staff was attentive, but not overbearing, and our food was ready very quickly. The only thing that I can really say that was even close to a downside was that it was somewhat noisy in the restaurant when we were there; however, this could vary based on the crowd that is there at the time. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation.I will not hesitate to go to this restaurant in the future. Highly recommended.“
“The bartenders and waitresses and owner are all wonderful. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is excellent. I recommend sitting at the bar to get more of the Personal Touch but they have so much good food and terrific customer service.Vegetarian options: They have seafood dishes as well as tofu and vegetable versions with terrific saucesKid-friendliness: The atmosphere is family-friendly. Not a bar setting though it has that option it's certainly a good place to take the whole family“
“I've been coming here for years, since the old location run by Chef Alex. Shanghai on Elm is a great family run restaurant with good consistent food andfriendly service. Always a fun atmosphere, it's somewhat of a comforting sanctuary for me in Cincinnati. I'm always welcomed by familiar faces and everyone respects my quirky dining habits! That it's open late is an added bonus knowing that if I roll into town late, I can get a hot meal and enjoy a few laughs. Oh, did I mention the cocktails? They don't mess around, the drinks are outstanding.“
“I was looking for Chinese express option, and this place is new and very clean which exceeded my expectations! The food is good and tasty! Service is very good! I tried boomboom chicken, cream cheese wonton, and beef broccoli Definitely gonna come back to try different food!!“
“The restaurant is small, but clean. The bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate. The waiter was okay, but not super friendly. We also weren’t even offered chopsticks, they brought us forks. I had to ask for chopsticks, other patrons were given them and didn’t receive a fork. He also steered my daughter away from ordering the mini hot pot because he said it would be too spicy. She ordered chicken with garlic sauce from the Chinese menu. It was tasty and had a slight amount of spice. She ended up disappointed that she didn't get the hotpot, even though she did like her chicken dish. Her boyfriend ordered pepper chicken. I didn't try this one, but he really enjoyed it. I wasn't in the mood for jalapeño flavor, and it was covered in jalapeños.For myself I ordered sliced ear, bo-bo beef, and dry chili chicken.I was also warned that the bo-bo chicken would be very spicy. I sperically told him I love spicy food and I know I can handle it. I even mentioned that I didn't find the food in India spicy at all.The sliced ear was very tasty. My daughter liked the flavor, but not the texture. The outer portion has a texture similar to tendon, which was fine with her, but the rest was more like cartilage. I loved both textures personally. The dry chili chicken was perfectly cooked, although I could have handled some extra chilis in it. It was crispy and tender though. The bo-bo beef? Honestly, I did not find it overly spicy. It was spicy, but not what o would consider a 3/5. I didn't even feel a need for any type of drink during the meal. When the waiter asked me how was the spice. I had to tell him that I expected more. The dish though was delicious. The beef was the most tender beef o have ever tried. It has zucchini in it, which I love. Very good. The question is, do I just have that high of a spice tolerance, or did they give me "white girl" spicy? I seriously think it must have been less spicy than normal. I didn't even break a sweat and barely had a runny nose.Overall, it was very good. The portions were a good size.I went here specifically because if I could eat here I would be the Queen of Spicy in the Dayton area. I still don't know if I earned that crown. The spice level and the waiter not really believing me almost got them a 3, if I could do 3.5 I would. I know there are people that order it spicy and then they want to have it remade, so I'm not totally upset about the attitude. I'm just disappointed that I was promised spicy and it wasn't even on the top 5 spiciest things I've tried.“
“In a quest to find the best Chinese in the city, Sichuan Palace makes their case but I will keep searching. The Kung Pao Chicken was the highlight. If you are like me and my gf and get grossed out by large/uneven looking chicken then here is your sign to get this because the chicken is small and delicious. The sauce is sweet and fairs well with the fried rice. The Peppered Beef was decent. It doesn't pack a ton of flavor, it was more so just to have a variety of meats on the table. I found myself chewing for long periods of time, but I didn't mind. The dumplings were solid but were carried by the Chilli Oil. They sell that stuff by the container. It's hot, it's spicy, and I'm sure they sell a lot of it. The fried rice was okay, pretty bland. Overall Sichuan Palace is good, but it's not great. Scratch that, it's great but it's not $60 Dinner for 2 great. I think this is an excellent spot for a group dinner where you order a few shareable options for the table. But for some reason Cheap Chinese Takeout that only comes in pale containers will always be the way to go. If you are in the area check this place out, but if you are ordering takeout try something else.“
“The buffet here is small, but don't let that stop you from coming here. The food that they do have on the buffet is delicious. Very fresh food as they brought it to the buffet in small batches, frequently. It felt very clean and the decor is simple yet pretty. And compared to other buffets in the area, it was very well priced.“
“I appreciate the food and the amount of food they give. However, DONT buy a gift card from there. They won't let you use your own money of the gift card if it's below the gift card amount. For example, I got a 10 dollar gift card, i tried getting krab ragoon which is 7.49 total, I couldn't use the gift card because it was below the 10 dollars, makes perfect sense.“
“Very yummy food. The brown sauce seemed high quality. The lady, who was 55 or 60 years old, was well aware of gluten-free and reassured us that they could make a gluten-free dish for my wife. I am vegan and had plenty of options. The service was better than average. The environment is really good. Overall, we had a really good experience for our date. We will definitely be returning. My wife described it as a high-end Chinese restaurant. Thank you.“
“The welcoming ambiance at this place has always left me with positive experiences. I wholeheartedly suggest checking it out. The food is enjoyable. Thank you so much for always making my experience here a pleasant one. I will be a returning customer.“
“Have been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. The biggest plus is that they have a large authentic menu, which is the only one that I know of on the east side of Cincy. Along with the authentic options they do offer more American Chinese dishes. They have a dim sum menu that seems to be offered all day as well. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the dishes. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to have authentic Chinese food. This will be a regular spot for my family and I. Choose this over some large national chains that have been opening up in the area!“
“Hi,It was good I think. Just rated cuz of pure sprite love for Jackie. IFYKYK. Guys I believe Johnny=Jackie. And Guys, JACKIE is amazing. Therefore Johnny is equivalent using the law of equality.Kid-friendliness: It was friendly to kids. very child friendly.“
“I love this place, the only Asian-style restaurant for me. Mt. Healthy should be proud to have this business!UPDATE 3/19/2024: I have recommended Fortune Express to friends and family and they agree this is the best in our area hands down. You should try it!“
“This is THE BEST Chinese food I have ever had! It is not Americanized!! Tried some Dim Sum, which is like tapas or small plates of food. The Red Bean bun was yummy and the Sticky Rice in Lotus Leaf! I had the Dandan noodles as my main dish! They were able to make not as spicy as it normally would be! So good! My husband had the Orange chicken! Very good! We don’t mind making the trek from Dayton for some great food! We put this place on our Cincinnati area favorites list!“
“A gluten free dish we get every time are the Singapore noodles. It is a curry flavor with chicken, shrimp, egg, sprouts and green onion in a huge portion size. Reasonably priced and the food always comes out quickly! Authentically run by non US natives.“
“Wonderful noodles and wonderful service! Pictures uploaded are actually from three separate visits if that tells you how much I love this restaurant! Bringing friends and family here, there are a surplus of options, but being a noodle house you have to try both the sliced and the hand pulled noodle. Of my personal favorites, I loved both styles of fried noodles with cumin lamb, my roommate loved the sliced noodle with ground pork. Both offer a perfectly chewy picture with every bite. As of recently, I fell in love with the Sichuan street spicy and sour noodles! While they don’t have the same texture as the handmade, the noodles fit perfectly onto your spoon and the fatty cuts of beef are balanced by the spicy sour flavors of the broth. One thing I will say is with the Dan Dan noodles and chongqing spicy noodle, expect those to be a little more “bland” as compared to the fried dishes that absorb the sauces really well. Definitely coming back to try more!“
“We often pick up food from China Wok, and they are always ready on a timely basis. They have a broad menu and do a good job with their food preparation.Vegetarian options: Nice selection.Dietary restrictions: They offer a very good steamed vegetable and protein plate.“
“There were five of us and we each ordered different proteins and we shared. The individualized broth/soup worked well for all of us. I got the Mala's spicy broth that I spiced up using additional schechuan chillies. Everything about the place is what one would get in Chongqing or Chengdu. I love going here during the cold winter days.“
“Definitely our to go to Chinese restaurant!Don't judge a book by its cover. This restaurant is a secret gem in Cincinnati. The owners are nice once you get to know them. The food is always good whether you take out or dine in! Been coming here for the past 9 years with friends & family and it never fails :)“
“Food is always on point. No matter what we order (since I've been grown it's been a few times recently...my family used to order here when I was younger ALOT!)Portion sizes, taste, look...its mouth watering. The restaurant is still in the same place it was almost 20 30 years ago and it's even smaller now, lol. But don't let the size fool you...you'll definitely find your favorite table and come back. Everytime.Parking: Street parking or park across the street in the Family Dollar lot. There's also PUHLENTY of parking at LaRosas.“
“Many American style Chinese food like Pandas. We tried the Guo Bao Pork as it's crispy with sweet and sour sauce. The Hot sour noodles are all right but we hope there will be some more sauce. The Dry braised Green Cabage is good and decent with rice. The pep corn chili Sauce fish with many pep inside, the fish is wrapped with too much flour. A general good choice for Chinese cuisine in the area.“
“This was my first time ordering from Wok Inn Express. The nice lady who took my order was very kind. I ordered General Tso chicken. It was delicious. The resturaunt looked clean. I ordered tak out. I would recommend this establishment t as a good place to get good Chinese cuisine! Customer Service was excellent!“
“This is a nice reasonably priced neighborhood Chinese Restiraunt with good food, served up quickly at a very reasonable price! Each dinner sized dish easily serves two people! The venue is no frills, carry out only for the moment.Parking: Plenty parking in strip Mall lot“
“i got so excited when i found out there was a dumpling spot close by, but was dismayed when i saw some less than stellar reviews. i didn’t let these sway me from trying it out for myself, however, and thank god i didn’t. we had the black truffle and pork soup dumplings, fried wontons, orange, and shrimp in fruit sauce, and everything far exceeded our expectations. the fruit shrimp was my order, and it was one of the most unique flavor profiles i’ve ever had. in addition to this, the restaurant is in fine condition and the location is beautiful. we were lucky enough to go on one of the first warm days in the year, and got to sit on the back patio on the river.“
“After 4 years of taste disappointments, we bravely tackled their buffet lunch. Why, you ask ? Thanks to our friends' push, we took the plunge. Not exactly a food wonderland, but hey, it was decent enough. The meat played it cool—fresh and delightful. The fish was swimmingly tasty, and the Hyderabad style chicken dum biryani had us doing a happy dance. While each dish had its merits, a sprinkle more of the right seasoning and spice could have elevated the taste to a whole new level. It's like they were hinting at greatness but holding back a bit – the seasoning's version of playing hard to get! Now, let's talk desserts. Shahi tukda was the superstar. However, they might want to gather the sweet troops and rethink the dessert lineup. On the brighter side, the curd rice was a fresh, tasty surprise.Ambiance, oh dear ambiance! It could use a splash of color and some serious decoration therapy to make it as inviting as your grandma's kitchen. Staff members were sweethearts, providing service that even Cupid would be proud of. Speaking of love, a bit of TLC for the ambiance and the staff wouldn't hurt. The price for the food? Well, it didn't break the bank, but it could do with a bit of haggling. All in all, dining here is like a rollercoaster – some ups, some downs, but in the end, you're still craving that next ride.“
“My family went here for my son's birthday and the food was delicious. They have a great variety of food including sushi and hibachi. There is no excuse to find something that you like. #No boredom. The service was fine. My expectations from my servers at a buffet is that they remove the plates and refill drinks consistently. We did have to ask a few times for refills, which is why there are 4 stars and not 5 stars. This will probably be our new Chinese buffet spot.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no steps to get into the building. They also have plenty of handicap parking.“
“Would give it 10 stars if I could! Ordered the vegetable lo mein and egg rolls for takeout, and all the food was still hot when I got home. The portions were big, the egg rolls were crispy, and the veggies in the lo mein were fresh. Definitely will be a regular!“
“I always order Orange Chicken lunch with food in separate containers. Don’t want my rice all soped up with that orange sauce. But they are awesome. Always fresh. I find myself going once a week. They definitely have a loyal customer in me.“
“Good selection of food . The food was hot and fresh, and the hot and sour soup was sweet but hot. The workers were working hard getting out the orders as fast as possible. There was only some language barriers for ordering some of the food.“
“This is a great place for lunch when you can’t eat in, and you have to take your lunch back to the office. Call ahead! In 10 minutes, it’s ready for pick up.The lunch menu is what I really enjoy because it’s a lot like the dinner menu, with smaller portions. If you are looking for a new Chinese place, add this to your lunch time hunt.“
“Very good food and affordable prices. Ask for any special requests as they are very accommodating. Great selection of Chinese items from their Chinese menu. Ask for it and explore some spectacular dishes. The eggplant is awesome and their soups are phenomenal.Vegetarian options: Awesome vegetarian options. Ask for the Chinese menu of you don't see something you like on the regular menu. Ask for the veggie tofu soup on the Chinese menu for an excellent vegetarian option.“
“Very nice casual take out Chinese food shop. The staff is friendly, food is good (obviously in my opinion, whatever that is worth to a reader.)The fried rice is the "yellow colored" variant, but that is a regional thing. I personally prefer the dark brown type of fried rice (made with "thick soy" as an ingredient, which is slightly sweeter than regular soy) BUT I do recognize that I'm a minority in terms of number of customers. Most of the dishes are very good. The shop is clean, countertops are uncluttered, and I've never had any issues.“
“This is literally the best food in Cincinnati!!! We ordered General chicken extra spicy and it was perfect and super crispy! I loved the smaller pieces. The shrimp fried rice had large shrimp - delicious! B1G1 egg rolls, and the crab rangoons were full and not burnt like usual places we’ve ordered from! We used Uber Eats, it was a 60 min wait time even with rush but it was WORTH THE WAIT 1000%! Don’t order ANYWHERE ELSE, PERFECTION!Vegetarian options: Plenty of options for vegetarians and pescatarians.Dietary restrictions: We eat seafood and poultry and they had the options!“
“My favorite casual Chinese spot! Good quality food. The shrimp is usually big and tender. I always order their broccoli- it just soft enough but not too soft. Other places either overcook or undercook the broccoli. This place has it perfect. Sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, and shrimp with veggies are my regular dishes. They are always fast and accurate. Been ordering from Imperial Wok for years and used their delivery service frequently over the past year.“
“Very low key spot with great food. I ordered 45mins before close and was still served piping hot and freshly prepared food. The girl working the counter also had fantastic customer service skills which is always appreciated ? my new favorite spot in Forest “
“Our first time there and we were impressed. We love Moo Shu and they offered the options. My husband has the beef and I had the pork. Both were packed with flavor and we really enjoyed them. The dumplings were amazing. Great flavor and they were seared perfectly. We will be back.“
“The milk tea was the best I've had since before I used to live in China. The pearls were just right it didn't too much ice so it was strong and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The tarro tea was really yummy too. Super friendly and clean restaurant. The owners are Thai and the chef is Chinese it's a good place to get pad Thai.“
“I’ve been getting lunch here lately because their express lunch specials are unbeatable for the price, cheaper than McDonald’s and you get more food. The food is really good. It’s always fresh. I like the fresh fried rice, it’s not frozen pre-fried rice that they just heat up again. The lady that’s always at the front counter is really nice.“
“I have never had lamb chops at a Chinese restaurant and was very happy with them. There was enough of the lamb chops and the sides that I had another dinner a couple nights later The service was good and I am planning on having dinner there again“
“Favorite take out and dine in restaurant for my family. We are so happy to have New Garden and all the staff as part of our community and providing warm service and good food. Food is always fresh. Large portions, super tastey. Favorite place for take out sushi and hot sour soup on cold days! I would recommend anything from their menu and it will be prepared well.Kid-friendliness: They have a nice little kids menu for the picky eaters.“
“I really like the taste of their sesame chicken, bourbon chicken, noodles, and mixed vegetables. The chicken dishes tasted like proper American-Chinese food. And, the mixed vegetables were cooked perfectly--not too raw and not too soft. The seasoning of the vegetables was also great because there was definitely enough seasoning but not too much to overpower the flavor of the vegetables themselves. The portion of the lunch special is huge and satisfying for a big guy. The guy taking the order was polite. The interior was definitely dated, but it was clean. For a food takeout place, the dated interior did not bother me.Vegetarian options: The vegetables were cooked perfectly.“
“I mostly order food online but I gotta say this is the best Chinese food I ever have and today was the first time coming here in person I been to this area but never came in but the lady of super friendly and looks good inside and customers are friendly too I recommend to come this place trust me there food is good come and try our!!!!!“
“It was late and me and my boys came from a workout, we noticed a open light and an unlocked door, we went in and they were quick to serve us despite being recently closed, not only that, but their food was great and I’d really recommend this place (at a reasonable hour)“
“Thursday night@7pm. Large party here, loud (a little obnoxious) and scatterbrained...our server was incredible...no eye rolling, side-eye glances, nor snide remarks...which were all deserved by this crew...so kudos to our wait staff and the management for not shutting us down for some of the cursing that some of the girls (def insert side eye glance here) in our group were spewing. The food was so-so...orange chicken soft & soggy, the edemame slightly overcooked but overall a great experience.“
