I went there for the first time today . I ordered chicken salad and ff and salad and I was very impressed. And the people working there were awesome. The one gentleman carried my food out Who does that anymore if anyone did. I will definitely go.back

Cafe Augustine is a program sponsored by the Youngstown Catholic Diocese to provide workforce training for disadvantaged young adults. Contained in a space adjacent to the main entry lobby of the Newport branch of the Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, the restaurant offers a tasty menu in a comfortable setting. The prices are very reasonable. Open only Tuesday through Friday from 11 to 2, it has a limited selection of soups, salad, sandwiches and daily specials. Not recommended if you are rushed. This is not "fast food" and service can be spotty, but it is a training program after all. This is one of the most pleasant and favorite stops for my friends and me. It deserves enthusiastic support.

I bought 2 fish dinners and a bowl of clam chowder tonight. I highly recommend this place. The food was excellent, staff were friendly and they truly are making a difference.
