Take a look at our favorite Stillwater Mexican restaurants.
“Stillwater’s little Café Mona, concealed in a strip mall on the north side of town may be a hidden gem for “Authentic Mexican Food.“Let’s get to it! Starting with the chips served with their excellent salsa. Be sure to ask for the hotter version of the salsa. Neither is really that hot so, if you are like me you may still need to add some of the commercially made bottled hot sauce on the table. But, the café made sauces are good. You will notice that the chips are obviously hand cut small triangles, from corn tortillas and fried there; not commercially made chips! My wife ordered the Enchiladas Rojas: three Queso Fresco enchiladas topped in authentic red mole enchilada sauce and served with potatoes, carrots in a delicious Adobo sauce. It also came with rice and a small lettuce, tomato and sour cream salad on the plate. My wife loved the Queso Fresco in the enchiladas with the delicious sauces on them and the vegetables! The sauces on both meals were fantastic! Great Meal!I had to try the Chilaquiles Mexicanos. This was their tortillas chips smothered with their red mole sauce. The big plate of chips and sauce was then loaded with chopped grilled steak, queso fresco, red onion, and cilantro. Then the whole thing was topped off with a dollop of sour cream, guacamole, and crowned with a fried egg! Refried beans on the side! This was a big delicious filling meal! The service is fast. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for other Mexican restaurants in the area, check out my reviews in my collection "Jalapeno Highway" on Yelp. I've probably been there.“
“Been a few months but writing review now. Ordered ceviche, birria tacos and torta everything tasted very good specially birria tacos. Can't tell if authentic or just another text mex, but tastes very good, reasonable and the they are friendly.“
“Standard Fuzzy’s fair with fast, friendly service. The shredded chicken nachos were good, and I do enjoy their hot sauces on the table. They have plenty of seating areas indoors and outdoors. The service was very fast. One minor gripe is that all the plastic trays are warped and won’t sit flat so you can’t keep your food on it.“
“All in all, a great experience! I enjoyed my visit. Food was great, and the atmosphere was great too.I'd recommend them! If you love authentic Mexican food, you'll love this place.Wheelchair accessibility: It's there, but handicap parking is not by the building! So, while there's wheelchair accessible parking, you have to go across traffic in the parking lot to get to the wheelchair ramp over the curb to get in.The should do better on handicap parking placement! I'm not in a wheelchair, but it takes all I can do to make the walk in. I can imagine the difficulty for those in a wheelchair.“
“This place is great our service was exceptional to say the least she was on point with everything and our little girl wasn't feeling well she was thoughtful enough to ask how she was doing several times and even wishing she would get better soon. On top of everything the food was fast and delicious very reasonably priced. Can't recommend this place enough.“
“The food was good but it's hard to impress me with Mexican food since there are so many options in Oklahoma and I have been to so many of them. The staff was very very friendly and helpful. The building is a really cool place with really neat decor. Joe's does a great job with customer service so I will be back. Sorry but it's hard to get a 5 star with me :)“
“Our only real complaint was service... It was almost rude, like we were interrupting their day... Food wasn't bad at all though. My friend had the chicken with no rice sauce can't remember the name. I had the rojo beef.... You better like it hot to eat that one. That was no “
“I am a teacher here in Stillwater. During an inservice day, several of my colleages and I went into Ted's Tacos and Cantina. Many of whom had not visited before. Rather than visit well established places like Mexico Joe's, we chose Teds. We had a rather uneven and unpleasant experience, long waits on food, poor food quality, failing to get all of our party's food out at the same or nearly equivalent time, poor seasoning, and not following customer requests for no pico. It was disappointing. I contacted the restaurant and management promptly called me the same day.Management offered to remedy the situation by sending fajitas and all of the accompanying items such as queso, guac, tortillas, sals, and chips to my school site. It was unexpected but such a pleasant surprise. The fajitas were amazing and so many staff members were able to have a tasting of the food when it was at its highest quality. This gesture is also something that sets a good restaruant apart from mediocre ones. This gesture will make me a repeat customer and so I wholeheartedly recommend giving Ted's Tacos and Cantina a try.“
“There were four of us who visited the restaurant after hitting AMC for Dune 2. The service was decent and quick. Our waiter Giovanni made multiple rounds to our table to make sure we were doing okay with the food. Now about the food itself. Two of us got the mixed fajitas which we found to be sufficient in quantity and 't was served with a side of rice, beans, tortillas, guacamole and sour cream. The meat was fresh. Besides, we got two complimentary servings of chips and salsa.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible easily.“
“Ignore the online ordering when it tells you you'll get a notification when it's done, and just pay attention to your "done by" window. They're so good that they're too busy to send that notification. It's a good problem to have. :) great food as always!!“
