“First time coming in! Lovely service and great first impression! For appetizers we had Crab Rangoon & Fried Dumplings, i wasn’t able to try the dumplings but based on how my dad was humming to himself i would say they were pleased with them. The Rangoons were DELICIOUS! I loved them so much the only complaint i have was i ate them too fast. For my entree i did a bowl of egg drop soup and a portion of the honey chicken. the egg drop soup was very home-y and delicious! exactly what i was wanting from it. My parents thought it needed salt but personally i thought it was perfect as is. The honey chicken is genuinely the best honey chicken i’ve had in oklahoma, the outside layer is super crispy and crunchy despite the honey glaze that goes on it. it’s almost like it’s candied. The chicken is nice and tender and the flavor is superb. Definitely would recommend trying this place out!! The servers are very friendly and the food is amazing!!“
“Our visit was for my birthday and we loved it. The idea is kind of like a hibachi setting but instead of someone cooking in front of you, you cook the food yourself. You have 2 choices: all you can eat or a la carte. We chose the latter. My husband chose chicken broth for his soup and I chose tom yum. For meats, we choose beef and lamb. Like I mentioned, the experience was for my birthday. Therefore, the bill ended being about $100. But we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and will return sometime in the future.“
“I mean come on, this place is unbelievably delicious. We stay on a pretty restricted diet which means we normally don't go out much but it also means when we do, it's easily to be disappointed with a lot new places. Which is also why normally why we stick to our favorites. However, my wife was in a mood for egg drop soup and I did some researching and trusted someone who said this place has the best egg drop he's ever had... Well, I agree and the best hot sour soup I've ever had and that is a bold statement for me to say. Matter fact, I bought more to go. The crab cheese wonton was light, crispy and delicious. We also had beef flat noodle, my said it was the best noodle dish she's ever had, period. We also got the gigi special and kung pao chicken american style which both were very good. I don't write a lot reviews but this place was worth it. The waitress was sweet and attentive. The food comes out as right when it's done. It doesn't sit around waiting for the everything else to be cooked, which I liked. My only regret is not trying this place years ago.We. Will. Be. Back.“
“Perfect Asian spot, place is extremely affordable with a ton of options. They had classic Chinese food with sushi. You can take a whole party here and not break the bank. The General Tsoa was on point. Will definitely come here again. My kids loved it as well.“
“I lived in China for 15 years and the only authentic Chinese restaurant I know of in Tulsa is Mandarin Taste. They have actual Chinese cooks cooking the dishes from raw ingredients just like in China. I know it costs a little more and takes little longer but it is worth the cost/wait since you are getting real thing and NOT frozen entrees warmed up in the microwave. My server was bilingual and let me practice my bu hao putonghua. MT is a precious cross cultural experience worth traveling to visit. It is "Little Beijing" in Tulsa.Dietary restrictions: You can ask the server for lean meat choices.“
“Food was fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable and there is a wide selection of dishes. The service is welcoming and nice. The owners are very nice and pleasant to customers. The overall area in which this restaurant is located requires caution on the part of patrons.“
“Been going to this place for over a decade. The owners of the restaurant truly care about the quality of their food. Over the years of me getting food here they have never made a mistake and I’ve never had a complaint! Not to mention, the price of the food is very well priced!“
“When I go to an Oriental restaurant I like it themed deco wise as such and there's is. The food was great tasting, heated properly. The waitress was pleasant and checked on me as needed. Definitely returning when in town. Suggested my daughter and son that live in near towns that it is a place to check out.Parking: It is located The sidewalk leading up to the place is in good repair in a strip mall [rather than multiple level type of mall[. I“
“Clean dining and friendly service. I had the beef pho and I really enjoyed the entire bowl. The atmosphere was great for lunch and every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. I’d like to go back and try a few more of the dishes. If you want some more vegetarian options just ask because they can probably make it happen for you.“
“Sofia was our server today. It was my first time in and she was very prompt and polite and explained how the experience works. The food tasted great, the establishment was clean and the chef friendly. I will be back, I’m not sure why it took this long to try.“
“My #1 stop for Chinese food in the South Tulsa/Bixby area! It leaves you feeling full without feeling like you have a brick in your stomach.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp isn't directly in front of the store, rather in front of the door to the Cricket on the southwest corner of the building (closest corner to the Starbucks.)“
“Our family of 12 came to celebrate a graduate for dinner. We made a reservation well than a week in advance. The restaurant confirmed via text. We enjoyed appetizers, non-alcoholic drinks, and various entrées. The food was delicious and the server was phenomenal covering our table all by herself. They gave the graduate a free dessert and a free kids ice cream. Someone from the restaurant called us the following day to see how our experience was. I shared all this with her. My only complaint is the hostess at the front was passive and direct stating we had a two hour limit to make space for other parties. Was our party not relevant? By no means did we look like a massive group. We were tucked into a table that use to be four small bistro tables. I understand that some parties may take extensive time but this made me feel so rushed and on edge. We spent hundreds of dollars! Other smaller parties would not have come close to our total. I recommend more time is given for big parties and communicate in advance vs arrival your time constraints. My Grandmother who paid for the meal was upset and spoke privately with our waitress who shared to not worry. We made it out with 15 minutes to spare. Overall, I recommend PF Changs as a restaurant in Tulsa. Delicious food and great service!“
“Excellent service!! Highly recommend for people searching for new takeout/dine-in! I have been scrolling for good asian eats for a while; I decided to give Jacky Chen Express a try & I was not disappointed at all.I am very happy with the experience I received here. The kind lady was very patient with me (it being my first time). The food was fantastic & the price was far better than your average takeout!!I Will be coming back for a usual meal from now on!!“
“I'm trying real hard to find things that could negatively influence this review. Well here it goes: this drive thru isn't made for the novice driver...your rims (hubcaps) will get scuffed. The ordering speaker is hit or miss but the nice lady taking orders makes up for it.Parking: That narrow drive thru will make the cautious driver pucker.“
“First time eating here I got Mongolian Beef and my wife got sweet and sour chicken. She said hers was good. Mine was ok. Food amount was a little lacking for the $50 we spent and was not hot at all. Bad thing is my order was being packed up when I got there so it wasn’t because I took too long to get there. Wife got wonton soup which was hot and delicious. I got egg drop soup that was so so. The crab rangoon was good as well. Will give another try with a different entree but Wang Wang is still my go to.“
“Today, I came to pick up my usual family take out night dinner. We come here when we want some Chinese take out that reminds us of our memories in Miami. Great food every time!!! Thank you Simon for being the Beautiful Vibrational Energy that you are!!!“
“Let me tell you about this little gem. I have been coming here since 1985...my step-dad even before then. I do know they changed hands once, but I suspect it was family related. Their food is out of this world good! It hasn't changed at all since I was introduced to it. Everything is cooked to order, hot and fresh. Their egg rolls are to die for! We all know there are many Chinese restaurants around, but the egg rolls make the restaurant, in my opinion. If you break these open, you are able to identify the ingredients in the filling. All "other" restaurants run their filling through a food processor of some sort and they are mushy. These are incredible!“
“If you are in the area, this place is good for a quick bite. They do get busy at times during lunch hour so just be aware of that. I Havnt been here in over 10 years but grabbed a bite here the other day, and it was still as I remembered. The r5 here is my wife's favorite. No other restaurant in the area can do it better.“
“Some of the best Chinese food we've had, in Tulsa or elsewhere! We ordered 3 eggrolls, 2 bowls of Hot and Sour Soup, Beef Flat Noodles (Dry), Orange Beef, Garlic Beef, Salt and Pepper Shrimp, and Chicken Fried Rice. The eggrolls were very tasty, though they were actually spring rolls, and the Soup tasted very authentic and good, with the added bonus of not having any pork in it (just made with chicken broth). The Beef Flat Noodles (Dry), which was what most people would call Chow Fun, was fantastic, especially when drizzled with the provided chili oil. The Orange Beef was also excellent, with a crunchy, not-too-heavy breading and a great balance of sweet, savory, and a little spicy (we ordered it Mild). The Garlic Beef was good, but too sweet, so we probably wouldn't order it again. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp was delicious and very generous (15-20 shrimp). Lastly, the Chicken Fried Rice was pretty typical, though not bad. The Noodles and Fried Rice were prepared with lots of bean sprouts, which I really like. One of the best things about this place is the value. Although prices are about $0.50 more per item than listed on the website, we had a feast for about $60, which is a steal for Chinese food these days. It is also worth mentioning that the service started out a bit slow but got much better after waters and eggrolls were brought out. Additionally, the menu is relatively large, with both authentic and Americanized favorites, so there is something for everyone.Overall, the combination of fabulous food, great prices, and generous portions mean we will definitely be back and would recommend this gem to other hungry Tulsans.“
“Thinking of recent experiences of eating at a Chinese restaurant. Then there was so much food on the plate that it was a meal in the restaurant, and a meal in a go box for tomorrow. Now, shrinking portions. This inflation is killing everyone!Entering the restaurant. With an expressionless face, the waitress directed us to sit where we like. There was no wasted effort on a smile or a greeting. Chinese chips and salsa came to the table. The waitress impatiently waited for our response to her “what do you want to drink?” Returning quickly with the drinks, her deadpan face solicited our food order. I had barely completed verbalizing my order and she was gone, returning hurriedly to the kitchen before I was able to request an order of egg rolls. I flagged her back and got the order in. I’m glad I did!! Like a mask her, facial expression never varied at each interaction. My efforts to try to get her to reflect a smile was wasted. The service was adequate. The egg rolls were delivered. The first bite was delicious. It is unusual to describe an egg roll as light. They seemed light. Not fat, heavy, greasy, fried eggrolls. The filling was seasoned, lightly; just enough to tame to cabbage flavor, but not hide it. A light crispy fried wrapper took good to excellent! My wife’s meal came with soup. She ordered the Hot and Sour. Great flavor. Noticeably absent were mushrooms, tofu, or chicken; the ingredients usually found in a fully loaded Hot and Sour soup. A couple of bamboo slivers and egg. That was it!Our food arrived. I delayed the dining a minute to capture a picture. Completed, lunch resumed, and my wife was just about to stick a chunk of chicken when the waitress reappeared. She hastily grabbed the plate. Without expression explained she had delivered the wrong meal. No chicken was missing from someone else’s order!Cautiously adhering to Americanized versions of Chinese food, my wife ordered General Tso’s. The first plate mistakenly delivered to her was Sesame Chicken. I got a picture! I went with the Hot Garlic Chicken. Check the pictures and the menu for details of each. Here is what stood out on both meals. First, white meat chicken. No mysterious knuckles of chicken meat. Then the sauces. Slightly sweet, but not overly sticky, syrupy sauces. Nice flavors and just enough heat to make them enjoyable. I like the cooking here. Very Good! This review was previously posted on Yelp, Oct 5, 2022 by Spike Speedwell“
“Some of the most flavorful fried rice I’ve ever had! Every time I have eaten here the food has tasted fresh and delicious! I got the chicken fried rice and my partner got the sesame chicken. Employees are friendly and efficient! My food was ready quickly and still hot after my commute home. Nothing but good things to say about this restaurant. Edited to add that the portions were generous and the prices for the items we ordered were inexpensive.“
“Very affordable and very good food, a friend of mine shared the Kung pao chicken and pork soup dumplings. The chicken in the pao was tender and just so easy to eat! The dumplings were full of flavor and tasted amazing with the chili oil from our entree. Definitely will be eating here again. If you want quality chinese’s EAT HERE! We also had 2 to go boxes with left overs so don’t worry about portion.“
“Hands down the best Chinese food in Tulsa. Everything is cooked to order and the portion size is huge! My hubby and I will get 3 meals out of our order. We did get it to go and they wrapped everything so it would stay fresh and hot. Will definitely be our go to place.“
“We went for lunch. It wasn't crowded, service was fast, everyone was friendly and polite. We had Pad Thai and Pad Basil and they were both delicious. All the vegetables were fresh and the portions were the perfect size. One of the better Thai places we've tried in the area; we'll go here again.“
“They don't answer phone for call in orders. And with a husband that has stage 4 cancer and can't be left alone for long periods of time this makes it had to get the food he wants. When he is not eating to start with. When I asked why they don't answer the phone ... they are too busy.. they say. No one was in the restaurant... they don't seam to care about loseing business.“
“First off, make sure to call in your order for pickup rather than using "services." Thanks me later. The food here is some of the best Chinese food in Tulsa. While so many rest on their laurels, the folks at China 8 consistently put out hot and fresh food time after time. This last time I ordered Pepper Chicken. Fried Rice and Egg rolls. It was still so fresh and hot when I got home. The vegetables weren't cooked to mush which is a definitely plus. The chicken was very tender and plentiful and the sauce was delicious. The fried rice was cooked perfectly as were the egg rolls. Love this place!“
“Americanized Asian food for me ….. No Mystery Meat …. No Chicken's Feet.Pei Wei’s food is prepared fresh and served hot; always consistent in taste and presentation. My receipt said that Paige was the friendly lady that took our order. A clean roomy restaurant. My choice for chain restaurant Asian food. It is also better than many of the local Asian restaurants that I have tried. The Lettuce Wraps are my favorite, but today I had the Spicy Korean BBQ Steak. A big bowl of rice covered with a generous portion of tender beef with green onion tops, onion, red bell pepper, stir-fried in a spicy sauce. My wife had the Thai Coconut Curry Chicken: White Meat Chicken, FRESH vegetables (Garlic, Red Bell Peppers, Onions, Broccoli) covered in a liberal amount of creamy delicious Thai Coconut Curry Sauce.Great meals.“
“I first got here before 11am for lunch specials $9.99 but the store owner refused to let me order the $9.99 deal which it kinda hurts my savings. I ordered beef and Broccoli combo for $11.99, the food tastes good and fresh made. I might want to come again if $9.99 deals is available.“
“Very friendly staff and they act very professional! I got the pick 2 with chow mein, bourbon chicken and orange chicken. The orange chicken was a bit too tangy for my taste but still good. I also got a side of fried rice. The chow mein, bourbon chicken and fried rice were my favorites and I actually went back and bought more to take home the chow mein, bourbon chicken and fried rice is THAT good! I will definitely be coming back here and I highly recommend this place! I have had their egg rolls before as well and they are good too.Vegetarian options: They have amazing chow mein and fried rice!Kid-friendliness: Kids would love this place!“
“I love this place People are always nice it's always clean and food is made to order so it's fresh..Vegetarian options: Love their fried veggie rice and so many more options.. ?Kid-friendliness: They have options for the kiddos if they're not so sure about Chinese food yet..Wheelchair accessibility: I use a scooter after a bad accident cause my legs don't work so well anymore. And there is plenty of room and I'm not in anyone's way .Dietary restrictions: I'm sure they could accommodate just about any restrictions you may have so I would give it a try..“
“In search of a new Chinese food place to try we I chose Wok Wok and was not disappointed!! I did a walk in order and picked from their menu Subgum Fried Rice Beef and Peppers Beef Lo Mein Orange Chicken Pork Egg Fu Young and some Egg Rolls. Everything was cooked fresh and was piping hot when I got home. The service was friendly and the wait was only 15 minutes. The inside reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurant back home in Los Angeles with a fish tank filled with pretty fish swimming around. Finding out they deliver is a win for me so I took two menus home and will definitely be placing an order again!!“
“Gave this place a try, the spicy beef was good and the bourbon chicken was great. Tried the chow mein, not bad, next time I’ll try rice. Lady was very polite and gave out large portions. Grab extra napkins, you’ll need them ?Parking: Mall parking lot.“
“u may have to wait for little but for your food but trust the wait is worth it.! it's FAMily owned and they are definitely the best in all of Tulsa their sweet and sour sauce perfect not watery like others and they biggest best eggroll in town but their best menu item would be their one and only ChoCho which I can't find any where else in town. they may not look open but if there's a car parked in front drive to the menu board and give them a minute u won't regret it“
“Just had the best meal I have had in a very long time. Ordered through DoorDash with a lowered expectation of excellence due to delivery time and current weather. I enjoyed General Tso’s Chicken with added vegetables and chicken fried rice. I asked for it to be extra spicy and extra sauce. The flavor was exquisite and beyond expectation. Good Job, thank you it was delicious. May I have a refill?“
“I stopped at Asian Star on a whim. I was dropping off stuff at the UPS store nearby. I wasn’t sure when reading some of the reviews but decided to give it a chance. So glad I did. I ordered the pork fried rice. The owner cooked it to order. Actuality fried it in a wok. A lot of places call it fried rice but it’s just steamed rice and coloring. It tasted great and the pork was tender and flavorful. I am Tulsa for work but I will definitely be back for more. Very very good.“
“Great selection of food where you can build your own bowl. A little bit on the pricey side but you can load up with meats and veggies. Place is kid friendly and has a variety of options for the little ones.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with crayons“
“Went her for lunch and glad we did! Attentive and sweet waitress who owns the place. We ordered spice level 2 and whew, not going higher with the curry or tai basil chicken. Rice was cooked perfectly and the flavor was so good. Reminded me of being in Thailand. Restaurant is tucked in the back of the mall and has 3 unassuming rooms with tables. We will be back!“
