This place was Speedy's first. The food went down and then way up in goodness after the change over. However, it was never bad. We made this place our weekly place for over 15 years. We have had birthdays and anniversaries there, along with other big life events. It has been a great place of loving familiarity. About 4 weeks ago they put up a remodeling sign. My husband and I have been frequenting this restaurant for more than a decade -- or when they started out near 23rd and Sheridan Rd. Always have given them 5 Stars, until now. First, let me say that the food and prices are great. The primary cook and several of the servers have been there for years, and they are awesome as well. Nice place. The staff were all very welcoming. While looking through the menu my server informed that the current special was el molcajete and asked if I would like to try it. I had been wanting to try one for a while and it was everything I hoped. DELICIOUS!
