“Absolutely love this bakery! Staff are very friendly, always have suggestions, and even gave a sticker to my toddler. The sunflower sourdough was delicious, the Cinnamon loaf was amazing and my toddler loves the small white buns! The staff informed that at end of the day they donate anything left to local charities. Again, I absolutely love this bakery!”

“Little place in a tiny strip mall, take out only for now. Huge portions, served piping hot, and the food is delicious and really well seasoned. Loved the General Tao chicken, the sauce was addictive. Decent ratio of chicken to batter in the chicken balls and it's real chicken breast meat. To the other reviewer complaining about bean sprouts in the chop suey, it's literally a bean sprout dish, so maybe calm down. I thought the chop suey was great. Happy we found this little place. Would order again.”

“My son and I met JP for the first time this evening. JP was very friendly, and helpful. My son and I were unsure what we wanted, but JP let us try some samples and helped us make the perfect pita for my 4 year old and I. He also is honest and suggested we share one. The pita was huge, and delicious! We will come back next time we want pitas!”

“This is such a cute place! It was my first time coming here and we were greeted right away by the owner and seated. (I think he was the owner). Our table was in a nice private nook. The decor is very interesting and along with the music, makes you feel like you could be in Ireland haha. Our server Alisha was very friendly and efficient. We tried the 'scabby leg' and the 'tinkers red' beers and they were both good. I got the liver and onions which was really good, and a huge portion, I had leftovers for the next day. Also, the bread that came with the meal was DELICIOUS! My husband got the Dublin Lawyer lobster roll meal, and our friends got the curry and the fish and chips. They all liked their meals as well. Great experience and will 100% be back sometime.”

“My Husband and I had tea today at Chanterelle Bistro, April 6,2024I have to give a 10/10 this was our first time coming for their Tea menu, and we were so so happy with how amazing every thing was, presentation, service, the tea choices are great, andthe food is the star, everything placed on the three tiered tray was so delicious, such a variety, and generous amounts. We ate every little bit of our lunch and moved onto the dessert portion, on the tray. All the food is home made and the desserts were absolutely delicious and such a treat with lots of assortment to chose from. Portion sizes for everything just perfect, along with presentation, the attention to detail is outstanding. Just really impressed. Thank you.It really is a lovely idea to enjoy a tea of your choice and some fancy bite sized foods, in a lovely setting ( coffee is available )A must try, we will be back for tea, was so fun. We have been here for dinner and it is top notch, so having a tea date was a great idea. I think the choices of what is presented to you is what really thrilled us. Again Thanks to the chef and our server Taylor. They explain everything to you so you know exactly what foods are on the tiered tray, often check backs to make sure everything is fine, or water filled up etc. A nice couple of hours to start our Saturday off on the right foot. “A lovely SIT DOWN West Indian restaurant in Bowmanville.My fav dish was the appetizer which we DEVOURED before I remembered to take a pic. Fish Fritters? I also requested a spiked Sorrel and man that hit the spot!The stew fish was Great! A little sweeter than I anticipated and my regret was it wasn't a take home plate so I can pick it up with my hands and suck every last piece of fish off the bone.My date had the Curry pasta and he says it was delicious!9 outta 10I will definitely return to try the other dishes.”

“We've been to this brewery a number of times. They have a wide variety of beers on tap and canned beers to take home. They are pop culture themed and based on video games, movies and tv shows. I love the artwork on the labels. The interior is large and it's a nerdy, chic hipster-ish feel.It's a dog friendly establishment and our doggies were given lots of love in a previous visit.Today we stopped in to grab some home brews and a flight to sample their newest flavors. We were given smiles and complimentary popcorn.Great establishment”

“We have been happy customers of Sweet Cravings since last year and recently celebrated my daughters birthday party here with five of her friends. They all loved the ice cream, bubble tea, pizza and cake! Plus the decorations they put up for us made her feel very special. “Great spot. Love their fish & chips.Having worked in food industry many years ago I know it’s hard to get things right all the time. Recently I made a purchase at Captain George’s and a part of my take out order was missed. I don’t live far and didn’t mind returning to retrieve what was missing. Despite my objection, the management insisted on throwing in a drink with my meal and gave me a $10 gift certificate for my next meal. That’s exceptional customer service. I would give 6 stars if I could.”

“I visited this brewery for the first time a couple Friday's ago. I will definitely be returning the next time I get to the Bowmanville area. I tried a couple flights of beer, with various styles. All were good quality AND there was a beer-cocktail menu I did not explore but looked good for those looking for something different or not 100% beer fans. Although I cannot give a rating for food because I did not order, the service was amazing. I was there right as it opened (and a handful of other customers) but everything was ready to go! I enjoyed the atmosphere inside. Outside seating was available as well. I would recommend visiting this brewery.Parking: Shared parking lot with a number of different businesses. Location of the brewery is around the side of the building. May need to park a bit farther away in the lot during peak hours.”

“We pre-ordered for Good Friday and it was delicious. We ordered two family packs and an extra 2 pieces of fish, and it was hot and crispy, not greasy at all. The gravy and coleslaw was great too! Big pieces of halibut. They were super organized and delivered our meal right to the car. It was delayed a bit due to the busyness of the day, but it was worth the wait.Yummy.”

“The service inside was great and they accommodated my request for our order. Our sandwiches were made with all fresh ingredients and they were so delicious. The coleslaw and pickle was a great side. They had a charity cupcake (that tasted great) with some proceeds going to an organization that supports indigenous people. Very lovely experience, highly recommended!”
