“Very good, consistent in the food and it's quality. The bonus is their wonderful team and their hospitality, including Hong Ya. Her natural customer service, customer relations and ability to have an idea of the diners' needs is outstanding. The kitchen crew are also great, and the young staff must be mentioned as well as they clearly put in an effort in what they do, with pride. Thank you!“

“We found this place only because we were in the area and hungry. Well, lucky day! To start, the girl who was our server was lovely. I had the crab cake Benedict and it was delicious, the crab cakes were obviously made in house not a frozen premade dry patty, and the home fries were crispy and not greasy at all.Overall a nice experience in a cool place. We’ll definitely go back ??“

“This is pretty close to home, but never actually went inside. Didn’t know what to expect from a meltwich cause it gave grilled cheese vibes, but came to find out they offer a lot more! Was craving classic poutine which led me here. Staff was really nice. The fries on the poutine was great just how I wanted, reminds me of the poutine from T-Bones (iykyk)! Also had the smoked stack sandwich (Philly steak) and it was greasy and bomb at the same time! I find the price a bit much for each item (poutine was $10), but food was really good from the 2 items I had. Wouldn’t mind coming back!“

“The burguers there are delicious and huge! I ordered a bacon cheeseburguer combo and I almost couldn't finish it! Their prices are cheap too. My combo was only 11,95 !!! For the taste and the size of the burguer is totally worth it! They also have cheap beer, gin, tequila, rum... If you are around Humber College this is a restaurant you need to go to!“

“My first evening in Toronto staying on Lake Shore Blvd, the hotel I stayed at (TheWestLake Hotel) had Dakota's listed as a recommended place to eat. I popped in on a Monday night around 2000 (8 PM) and the place had a few patrons, but wasn't crowded. The bartender was nice but not the usual evening bartender, but she did a great job. I tried a couple of Canadian brews (can't recall the names) and enjoyed them both. I ordered buffalo wings as a app, and a burger with fries as my main meal. The wings were ok. One thing I learned was that Texas spicy and Canadian spicy are two different things! But they were not overcooked and were pretty big wings, so I enjoyed. The burger was not a dinky little burger, but was a good size with a nice thick slab of hamburger as the patty. It was cooked well and the meat was hot and the veggies were cold (Absolutely the first hallmark of a properly cooked hamburger) I would have preferred the hamburger be seasoned more as it tasted like plain ol' hamburger meat. This could also just be the difference between a Canadian burger and the burgers I make and enjoy in a couple of burger joints here in Texas. Now that I'm thinking about it, most hamburger places in the states - at least the chain joints do not season their hamburger. The places my family and I eat at, or not of that hamburger vein, as they season the meat with at minimum salt and black pepper. If there was any recommendation, it would be that. Otherwise it was an excellent, hearty meal. The fries were spot on. Meaning crunchy on the outside and tender potato on the inside. They tasted like a fry ought to taste! Service and order to eat time was pretty quick. The atmosphere was fun - not too loud - with available sports on the TV. I will go back again and after adding some salt and black pepper to my burger I will enjoy it all the more.p.s. Canadian ketchup is also different than what I'm used to. It's a little sweeter and absolutely enjoyable on salty fries! (They even make ketchup flavored potato chips that my son thoroughly enjoyed (not at Dakota's just a squirrel! thought)“

“Tried the fish and chips today what a mistake.the advertising pictures of the meal make it look delicious but in actual fact the meal didn't deserve the one star I was forced to give it minus 5 star would be more appropriate the fish batter was dark almost burnt a store bought frozen battered fish would be better the coleslaw was a teaspoon full why bother the chalet dipping sauce was too salty they had the audacity to charge $18 plus tax for this dumpster garbage .Never again and Swiss Chalet please stick to chicken“

“WOW. Okay, i dont know where to start. But this is probably one of the best jerk and oxtail i ever tasted. AMAZING. Me and my wife was hungry and we were craving oxtail and jerk and we found this place. Let me tell yah, i used to live at Keele and Finch also tried other places at jane and finch. This is by far the best Jerk and oxtail i ever had. This is our first time. Chicken was falling off the bones, flavor is just unbelievable and same with the oxtail. I dont know about the bad reviews but i have nothing but good things to say about this place. After i finished my food i told myself i write a review right away that's how much i loved the food. This is officially our go to spot now for jerk and oxtail. I am a chef myself i work in a high end find dinning restaurant. I appreciate good food. I know the food was made with LOVE. Will be telling this spot to my family, friends, and co-workers. Even though we came late at night around 9PM the food was still extremely good, fresh, and just amazing. It tasted as good as my mama's food. Can't believe your rating is just 4.5 Stars this is an easy 5 Star rating place for me. But again that's my opinion. I hope this review helps other people to try this spot because it's worth it. We'll be back soon. Thank you for the good food. <3“

Al-Aruba Restaurant American • $$
2P1, 383 Albion Rd, Etobicoke

“~ A 4.5 Star all the way~ This restaurant serves Mandi also know as Arabic kabsah. Kabsa is a family of mixed rice dishes that originates from Saudi Arabia and Yemen, where it is commonly regarded as a national dish. Whereas, Mandi is a traditional Yemeni dish. Mandi is usually made from rice, meat (lamb or chicken), and a mixture of spices. Basically these types of shops specialize in mainly one thing on the menu... Chicken Mandi and lamb Mandi. In Middle east, it is common to have a big dish with rice and couple of chickens on it. People sit around it and start munching on it in the same dish. Now that is out of the way. Lets talk about the experience. The Restaurant itself is quite big and has enough seating. The owner only takes cash but has an ATM on site. The restaurant is a MOM/POP shop as he and his wife are running and cooking from what I could have guessed. The food is cooked fresh and takes time to cook. The owner already informed us before hand and we knew there will be wait time and let me tell you it was all worth it. I ordered Chicken Mandi. The lunch meal came with half chicken over rice, a salad, sauce, banana and a drink. Wow, the food was fresh and hot off the stove. The chicken was cooked to perfect and very soft to eat. I loved the meal! Just make sure to account for 30 mins of cooking time or call in advance. Great meal will definitely go and try their Lamb Mandi. For My Muslim bros and Sisters - they serve halal meat“

“The quality as well as the quantity of the food was good. I especially liked the nachos and fish tacos. There are plenty on screens to watch the games.I felt the service was a bit rushed because we were being asked within short intervals what we'd like to order next. However, considering we went on a Saturday evening on a matchday when it's peak business hour, I completely understand the rush.I would visit again for the quality of food but preferably on a weekday.“
