There are numerous restaurants here in London. But there can only be a top five…. David’s Bistro makes that cut.For the past year, I’ve avoided David’s because I am a picky eater and only enjoy certain ingredients. Right now, their dishes suit my taste. David, the owner, greeted me with warm welcome. We’ve known each other for a while.Like most fine dining establishments, David’s will hang up your coat. After sitting you down, they will bring you as much bread as you want. It IS divine. Their menu includes an impressive array of wine and liqueurs, and several appetizers and entrees each.I ordered two appetizers to start. A duck and pistachio terrine came first. I sliced the terrine and placed it on a grilled baguette along with cognac orange marmalade. The other appetizer was a French onion tart with Marsala braised onions and mornay sauce. The tart was made of puff pastry. My entree was a boar belly on squash risotto with sage, bacon, and Parmesan. The boar was juicy and still tender, giving the perfect texture.Dessert was a dark chocolate marquise. It had hints of orange zest, very much like a Terry’s Chocalate Orange. The inside is classy. On their sound system, they play instrumental jazz. This complements the art-covered walls. Incidentally, servers dress up in business attire.David’s Bistro is and has been a premium restaurant for years. Newspapers and industry experts believe this day and age is the end of fine dining. David’s website acknowledges this, but they don’t plan to stop. Help them prove critics wrong.

David's never disappoints for special occasion outings for our family. We headed here for my husband's birthday. Our server, Ryan led us joyously and impeccably through our entire visit, sharing the fine details of the ingredients and flavours of each entree. We had the duck confit, a special Lake Erie pickerel dish, seafood cassoulet, and perfectly cooked filet mignon. We explained that we had birthday cake waiting for us at home and wouldn't be getting dessert. No problem! They prepared a special "Happy Birthday" small plate with candle for the birthday celebrant! The ambience, vibe, mellow playlist and flavours make us coming back here year after year. Stay casual, chic and cool David's!

OMG the LM&C!!Picked up the lobster Mac & cheese from the Sunday dinner menu and OMG!! It is without a doubt the BEST Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. The chunks of lobster are immense and the flavours? Rich, creamy and succulent. This is our go to treat restaurant in London. The service has never disappointed and the menu is always varied and spectacular.Wine pairings with each course is a special treat. And the sticky toffee pudding is to die for.

Well balanced flavours and amazing execution. Attention to detail is also obvious in their ingredient prep. Really love their innovative menus as well.

I had a last minute decision to go to Dave's tonight for dinner. It is important to make a reservation here, since it is usually full. I ordered a 3 course meal and was extremely delighted with my choice. The chef made an amazing meal I enjoyed very much. The staff is friendly and attentive. I will return.

In town for business and had a fairly negative experience trying to get in without a reservation the first night. However I decided another attempt was in order, based on the reviews. My colleague and I were seated by Ryan, the bartender and our sever. He was gracious and helpful and took excellent care of us! The food was amazing; I got the white bean seafood cassoulet and he got the ribeye special for the evening. It was delicious! Loved the decor and the layout and ambience were very nice. I will definitely return (with a reservation, of course) the next time I'm in town.

David's Bistro continues to maintain high quality food and drinks, personal and friendly atmosphere and their ability to make you feel right at home. Always something exciting on the menu, a regular prix-fixe menu and continued creativity in presentation and seasonal foods.

Can't say enough good things about this lace. They have the magic formula - I went in, saw multiple things on the menu and wine list, could only choose a couple, really enjoyed them and knew while there I'd have to go back to try some other stuff.Had the prix fixe - good value and tasty food!
