Over the last 23 years I have been enjoying Michael's on the Thames celebrating many of life's milestones, including birthdays graduations my wedding rehearsal dinner and our family's favorite tradition Christmas eve lunch at Michaels.Last night I had my last amazing dinner at Michael's on the Thames and it truly was sad leaving the restaurant I even got a bit emotional it's going to be a loss when the doors close for the last time.Thank you for all the great memories and meals and Giacomo's lunch time Christmas carols.Parking: Plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: The building is wheelchair accessible

My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary! It was incredible to say the least. Him and I got cocktails - the Golden Cadillac and the French 75 - both were delicious. They really outdo themselves! The food was also amazing, flavourful and the portions were great. We were both left beyond satisfied and we will definitely be going again :)Special thanks to Abby, who made our evening special - you provided us with excellent service and hope to see you again!

Over 30 years ago, when we lived in London, we frequently ate at Michael's on the Thames with friends and family. Fast forward 33 years of marriage, and returning back to Bayfield, after spending 25 years in Whistler, we finally had the chance to revisit Michael's. I do not know what took us so very long to return!! My Mom and I had a wonderful evening on a "girls night out"". Everything from the service, to the atmosphere, and of course the food , was excellent!! We had such a fabulous experience, we booked a Saturday jazz night in two weeks time with my Mom and husband. We would highly recommend Michael's on the Thames. There's a reason why they have been around for 39 years!

Beautiful restaurant for a romantic dinner. Excellent wine list. Food was delicious and well presented. Absolutely no complaints or criticisms. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The location, service and ambiance couldn’t be better. We were there celebrating our 50 th anniversary and they placed in a lovely spot facing the fireplace. Our entrees were delicious and came hot and nicely presented. We ordered a table side Caesar salad. The young man preparing it was professional and friendly. The salad, was, however, too vinegary and I couldn’t manage to eat it. The croutons were hard and from a box, the bacon was the kind you buy at a grocery store in a bag. For $30, we expected something better. I think the recipe needs to be changed somewhat. We will definitely return but avoid the salad. At the end of our meal they brought two lovely desserts of chocolate covered strawberries. A nice way to end the evening.

While visiting family in London I took them to this restaurant. The food was excellent (had the chateaubriand with my daughter), tableside Caesar salad. The atmosphere was quiet and the staff friendly. A little expensive but so worth it.
Family of 8 on Friday evening. It was very cold and drafty at our table which was located directly beside the musicians making it impossible to enjoy conversation. Meals were mixed so a couple did not get what we ordered and waitress never returned to our table to see if things were ok. Food in general was tasty but not amazing. Gentleman who prepared the table side items was very interesting and friendly. In mmy opinion the quality of food and service did not match the prices.

4.5 out five...Service 5 out of 5Atmosphere and restaurant 5 out of 5Menu 3.5 out of 5Food 4 out of 5Our first visit. Only one visit so please keep in mind, we can't really make a fair decision based on just one visit. We live downtown but have not been here as we usually hit places closer to the core.I must say, service here is EXCELLENT. I was pleasantly surprised. Restaurant service in general certainly isn't what it used to be, but it truly is here. From the time of reservation, to a check in call to our arrival and dinner it was excellent the entire process.Oscar, our millennial who prepared our salad tableside, was the exception. He SPOKE, he had a personality and was witty. Who would have thought he was a millennial! At 18 year of age he most certainly has an advantage over his peers. Great job Oscar, we enjoyed meeting you, customer service is your thing. Anthony was our server and he was great as well, personable, honest, and very efficient. Janis came in and checked in, I am assuming she is some type of manager? She was professional, personable, friendly and great, like the mother coming to check in without blame. The menu is a bit outdated, but I think that is the familiarity that people like and what has kept it relevant for the regulars, for us we had to really pick through the menu to find something we liked, but they are very open to modify your choices. A little costly to modify, but understandable given food prices these days.Bottles of wine were very reasonable priced. Our food was ok. But it was the service that made it excellent. The atmosphere and restaurant was great.5 star gourmet food? --No, but good food.5 star gourmet restaurant and service, YES.Menu, could use updating, loose a few things and modernize it a bit. I hope you treat your staff well as they made the experience. I would come back for the service 100% they made it a perfect night! Thank you Oscar, Anthony and Janice for a great night!

I ordered a $48 Ribeye steak medium rare. It was slightly over cooked and it was tough as shoe leather. I would expect that from a $12 steak not this. Also could have been seasoned better. I think the prices are a bit much for what you get. Staff were great though.

Had a wonderful dinner celebrating my husband birthday. The staff were amazing and the food was superb!!! We had the baked Brie with blueberry\lemon compote to start and table side Caesar salad prepared by Oscar. Our main was prime rib that literally melted in your mouth. The flavours were magnificent. Kudos to the chef. For dessert we had cheesecake that was light and airy and a perfect end to the meal. A special thank you to Kate the bartender who was attentive and very welcoming and super friendly. We will most definitely be back!!

A night on the patio very refreshing, the jazz band playing, the conversations muted, the atmosphere delightful. I began with the peach salad, it was quite delectable. Unfortunately although I was unable to have the steak Diane tonight that is done tableside due to wind and flame it wasn’t feasible. So I decided to try their lamb chops, they were close to perfection. To end the meal I had a Spanish coffee, and a A cognac and Angela actively delicious raspberry cheesecake to top it all off. All in all the wonderful meal. I recommend it to anyone.
