BATL Axe Throwing Sports Bars •
40 Adelaide St N Unit 2, London

“Came to try axe throwing for the first time with my husband. Aaron welcomed us in fairly quickly after we walked in, and Brodie was super helpful, giving us tips to help get the axes to stick into the board. We're definitely planning on coming back and making axe throwing date nights a regular thing, as well as bringing our friends to join us.“

“My wife and I went there for a date night on Friday and we both enjoyed the atmosphere! She said to me it is quite rare to see such positive staff and how they interact with each other and customers. She said the young female staff were dressed very professionally and she was impressed all around! We ordered chicken quesadillas and a Greek salad and to drink she had a pornstar and I had a b-52 in a coffee. The meal and evening was fantastic!“

“No Runts at the Runt. This is a generally great place with pleasant service and good food. I recently dropped in for a drink with two little dogs. I sat on the patio (which was empty) and the wait staff brought out a bowl of water for the little guys. He did tell me that generally dogs were not permitted on the patio but that if I wanted they could hang out beyond the fence. Because the place was empty, he turned a blind eye to the fascinating rule. After a drink, the manager told the wait staff that I had to put the dogs on the other side of the fence. By then, there was another couple on the patio who were enamoured by the dogs and unbothered. By this time there were only three people on the patio. The waiter was polite, told me the manager insisted on the dogs being placed outside the fence in what was now the Sun and heat. Five stars for the place and the waiter generally. Negative five for the manager who is obviously not a dog owner or lover.“

“Brought the 2 ladies in my life (wife & granddaughter) in for a meal on a slower Tuesday p.m. just before heading over to London's Grand Theatre for the first showing of "Clue," the play.Squires has a great pub decor. Comfy bench seats for us ancient office workers. Kudos to the owners on conversion into a memorable place worth the visit. I member a bank was here and next door was Howard's Men's Wear.Squires' food & service was excellent. Deep fried dill slices appetizer was superb with the homemade dill dipping sauce. My Squire Burger (the smaller one) was top shelf stuff. I rarely do food pics, but I had no choice this time. Nice simple presentation & perfectly cooked.Ladies both had the buttermilk crispy Farmhouse chicken sandwich. They luved them & will pass the word. Thanks to Chef Connor & Chris at bar for a nice, memorable afternoon meal with my 2 fav ladies.Definitely coming back & I will recommend the pub & grill to my business acquaintances, friends & family.P.S.The ladies confessed afterwards that my own, highly coveted home made burgers cannot compare to what Chef Connor made. I am biased, of course, but I must too confess - best burger I've had since the family's 2015 trip to P.E.I. The Cobs buns were perfect.“

“As a local Londoner this is a great bar to go to if your someone who is older(above 25+) and want to mingle with the older crowd. However, there has been a lot of negative feedback from me and other people in the community that there has been an increase number of younger people(mostly college students) coming here now ever since late 2023 - 2024 which really sucks for the locals who have been going here for years now since the line to get in has been insane(2 hour wait time at least if you are around Mac's Convivence store).Do you guys plan on doing something to fix the issue like expanding venue bigger or maybe charging people under +25 for cover?“

Very Welcoming Atmosphere. Looking forward to coming in for breakfast. Come Down to the Hood Kickback and have a Drink!Kid-friendliness: Atmosphere is USUALLY friendly enough for kids, Scores is NOT some hick bar where everyone's swearing/yelling/fighting... pretty chill dining area & enough tables to take your pick . . .“

“This is only a 5 star review because of Nate. He was speed running around this place while most of the other workers just delivered food or chatted. Why do you need 3 door greeters while one person takes orders for a whole joint. My boyfriend's meal came out cold. The plates were hotter than all the food on the table but he made up for it with his extremely friendly attitude and his willingness to please everyone“

“I don't normally visit chain restaurants, as historically my impression left by previous experiences is that they typically survive on their brand name or the fact they are well known, and as a result, quality in food and/or service can lack and people will still line up at the door at dinner time. However last night my son suggested this place and location. I must admit, the experience I had last night very much surprised me.Firstly, the restaurant was decorated as I had expected, quirky pictures, items, funny quips written on the wall, wait staff in t-shirts with witty comments on the back, however what caught my attention was how clean the restaurant seemed. No mess, on the floor, silverware, and everything else seemed clean. It was a bit noisy, however it was also very busy.Secondly, the service from the Gentlemen I had was just about perfect. Was helpful and attentive. Ensured our food was delivered quick and hot (especially during a 0630pm dinner rush). He also didn't have any attitude and avoid us until bill time, then put on a happy face and a fake interest in us to soak up a tip. The guy was pleasant, attentive, and helped ensure we had all we needed to enjoy our experience.Lastly was the food. I expected a microwaved mess, however I ordered the Hunters Chicken, that came with 2 chicken breasts with a light mushroom sauce, potatoes, and fresh veg. It killed. Chicken was PERFECT. Moist and full of flavor. Mushroom sauce was not smothered on the chicken, just the perfect amount to enhance the taste of the chicken. Vegetables seemed as though there were steamed to perfection, and potatoes were just the right amount. It was a bit pricy but after tasting and eating it, I felt it was worth every penny and highly recommend. My son got the wings (hot) with a side of fries and he confirmed the wings were good, and fries were tasty, not oversalted, and a generous portion. My wife got a Mexican Chicken Salad(?) and she also confirmed it was quite good and filling and the chicken also being done well.Over all - 5 out of 5 and well earned. We sat down at 0630PM last night and was in the car at 720PM with no issue. We could have stayed longer of course but the point I am making is that the meal was cooked well, delivered hot, all during a very busy dinner service.I will be back to this location.Vegetarian options: I did notice a veggie burger on the menu.“
