Update: I went by the restaurant today and they have been shutdown by a lease violation effective March 29th. Very sad news as she was a lovely lady and made delicious Thai food.

Very friendly and humble owners. I was initially thinking of getting a quick dinner and then walking around the downtown area since I was only spending a night in London, ON, but ended up staying and chatting with the owners for almost 2 hours (no one else entered the restaurant), listening to their life stories about how they settled in Canada (including setbacks and difficulties, such as the not-too-desirable location of their restaurant and landlord issues), feeling their happiness and pride when they talked about their relatives (still in Thailand) who are doing well and going on to do big things in life, etc. I went in for a meal but took away life lessons instead. Oh yes, this is supposed to be a food review too. I had their pad Thai, which was cooked in a unique fashion, a homecooked taste you wouldn't get in most other Thai restaurants in Canada. Prices are very reasonable, though if you are a huge eater, go for the large portion as the normal portion may not suffice (but the prices will still be very reasonable - it is probably still close to $2 less than what you'll pay in other parts of Canada). Go support them if you are in the area! They may have to move away eventually.

I ordered the green curry chicken. I've ordered this dish from other Thai restaurants in the past and I can say with certainty that this was the best green curry chicken I've ever had. The flavour was amazing, the ingredients were all fresh and it was spiced perfectly. It blows away all of the competition and was cooked with love and passion.I would highly recommend this restaurant. This is a local business that deserves more support.
The reviews here convinced me to try Thai Taste. I ordered the shrimp pad thai with coconut curry soup and a vegetable spring roll. All I can say is, I will be coming back. The portion was very generous, the flavours were perfect, the owner was such a gem of human, and I am thrilled to support her. Looking forward to visiting again.

The owner is very nice and the food was pretty good. You would not want to dine-in, but take-out would work fine they don't have a great online menu and don't speak English very fluently.

This is a gem in East London, I cannot give Thai Taste enough credit for the amazing work they do and the delicious food they sell. I tried the walk in pad thai special with coconut curry soup and a spring roll. I loved it so much I came back for more the next day and to try it spicier, patrons can request for mild, medium or hot spiciness. If you like savory, spicy, delicious food, Thai Taste Restaurant is a must-try.In the 1st photo, there is beef and broccoli with a side of white rice. Very delicious.In the 2nd photo is pineapple fried rice with chicken and shrimp, my children love it.In the 3rd photo is the pad thai that made me fall in love with thai taste. I've ordered it three times in one week now. So goodIts best to call ahead and order for pickup, it usually takes 30-45 minutes for an order but it is well worth the wait. I enjoy talking to the owners who run the restaurant themselves if I show up early. They are very friendly and kind.

Hands down the best pad thai ever! We don't even live in London anymore, but when we visit it's first on our list of things to do. We have eaten for years and never been disappointed by the food, it's always phenomenal! Plus the owners are the kindest people you'll ever meet and the price is very reasonable. 10 out of 10!
