“This is the last place in Toronto with Banh Mi under $5. You'd be wrong if you thought you got what you paid for. I was surprised with the amount of meat and pate in it - alot! There are lots of varieties of banh mi ( i.e fried chicken, bbq pork, shredded chicken etc) that I will give a try next time. One note that the bun is on the crunchy side so if you like soft buns, this is not for you. They also sell rice as well but the sign is in Vietnamese, feel free to ask what is the special of the day ?“
“OMG!! It took me back to the original California sandwich place in Little Italy. I remember the 2 girls of Papa that’s how the sandwich got the name(California Sandwich) I think it was they came back from California all tanned and we all called them the California girls. The best place to get a great Sandwich & olives ..so I was telling the young people behind the counter that I was so excited to have bumped into this place.I was not disappointed it was just like I remember absolutely delicious & the young people working there were so kind to listen to me talk about the “Good old days” thank you very muchYou made my day xoxParking: Very easy to park lots of spots & free“
“Very amiable personnel. The bread, unlike other banh mi establishments, isn't overly fluffy and fat. This one is consistently packed with substantial and vibrant flavors and is the ideal portion size. provides a tofu-based vegetarian banh mi alternative as well! For a fantastic crunch, toast!“
“Went to this Mr Sub location for lunch, note, not too many Mr Sun locations in Toronto. This was a small shop sharing the parking lot with a drive thru Tim Hortons. This Mr Sub has a drive thru lane too!We came on a Tuesday and the sun of the day deal was the Smoked meat sub. I ordered the foot long on whole wheat bread. The lady working the counter was helpful and patient with my customization of the sub.Price was reasonable $10.50 taxes in for the Tuesday foot long deal. The sub wasn't bad, but would have liked a bit more meat on it. I will still return!“
“Was there today for lunch today the food was fantastic but the energy of the cashier was amazing, she was very polite and bubbly, she made my day feel so much more important, like she actually cared about my day. She's great deserves a raise in my “
“Ate a Louisiana Pepper Chicken sub. A nice spicy heat to it, and the brownie and drink were great. No good lettuce. The bathroom was a little messy, but service was good.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair bar in bathroom but door is typical handle“
“Best Vietnamese Sandwiches in the city. As of June 2023, where else can you get so much for $5.00 nowadays? They also have Vietnamese rice paper wraps with shrimp, Vietnamese Sausages, and Vietnamese desserts. The real treasure of this place is the lady working the cash, she's very friendly and talented, she speaks Vietnamese, Cantonese, and English fluently.“
“I've been walking by this place for many many years and today for the first time I went inside and got a drink. We were there in the last 30 minutes but the guy working there was super nice, Super welcoming, super hard working, and overall a wonderful person running a wonderful shop. I wish I had done this before so that I could have more chances going there. I will definitely remember to prioritize it next time I'm in North York Centre or at the library“
“Recently had the pleasure of meeting with Gino in person at The Great Canadian Bagel at York Lanes. I must say that the whole staff genuinely cares about their customers' needs and satisfaction. They are very friendly and approachable. If you are someone who has dietary restrictions like me due to personal or religious reasons, you should know that this place offers bagels that are halal and Vegan. If you come to YorkU this is a go-to spot at York Lanes!“
