I don’t give many 5 stars but this place deserves it, they spent time on the details. I stopped here after work around 630. I had the chicken arepa which was totally delicious- a nice touch of extra sauce on the table. It’s also just a nice place to relax- nice lighting, great music, comfortable decor. Prices very reasonable.
Gooney's arepas bring me back home to Venezuela each time. Their authentic flavour and generous filling is a must-try and the best in Ottawa. Their new location is aesthetic, spacious and welcoming. It was honestly great food. The arepas were incredible. The staff was super busy but still managed to make it feel inviting and kind. The atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for great South American food.
