My favourite dish was the squash cappellacci, absolutely delicious and a little sweet and savoury. The bucatini alla gricia was decent but quite similar to other pasta dishes in Italian restaurants. I did find the menu to be quite limited, as someone who doesn’t eat pork there was not a ton of options. I would however still come back when the menu changes as the food was definitely delicious.“

Wok Hey seems to have inherited the Google Maps page of the previous restaurant but it is in fact under new ownership since about 7 months ago.We got the pepper salt pork chop, fish with tofu, and stir fried rice noodles with beef. Everything was cooked well and the seasoning is spot on for our tastes. The noodles had some wok hei flavour, the pork chop was fried nicely and with a good amount of aromatics, and the fish tofu had a freshly fried tofu and a good sauce that held its texture till the end of the meal.Staff are very nice. 10% off pick up orders. “Lettie and I visited Fred at his new restaurant yesterday (09/26/2015) and as usual, Fred's food was fabulous! We started with the Ginger Beer, which is undoubtedly the best I've ever had, subtle undertones of vanilla and cinnamon followed up by tons of ginger. We wanted to try the Sorrel drink, but after the Ginger Beer, I'm not sure it would rank. Fred made up some fish cakes for us, and being from the Maritimes, they were as good as any my Mom used to make, except Mom never put the great dipping sauce with them that Fred does. Our main course was Beef and Goat Rotis with salad. If you are not truly hungry, plan on taking some home because you'll be hard pressed to finish the plate. Fred has perfected his receipe for roti, and they were great as usual. We opted for very little heat to no heat, allowing the flavours to come through, and I'm glad we did as sometimes heat can overpower the combinations that make the dish. Rice and peas, fried plantain, sweet potato, broccoli and green beans were on the plate, adding to the variety of flavours and textures. We so wanted to try some dessert in house, but opted for a piece of Fred's own vegan chocolate cake to take home. It looks delicious and we're looking forward to having it with the leftovers we carted home. As we were getting ready to leave, Fred said he had some of his homemade apple pies in the oven and offered to sell us one. We decided to give it a try and are we glad we did! We both love apple pie and this one is one of the best either of us has ever had! I bake pies too, but I can't match what Fred did to this one. If this is on the board, you gotta try it. We live in Stittsville, so it's a long trek to the heart of downtown, but visiting Fred's place will give us a reason to make the drive. I'm going to try the Jerk Wings the next time.....“

“I had spent a good part of my day exploring the Glebe. I had driven back to the hotel. It was probably around 6 pm when the thought of fetching dinner came to me. I parked in the outdoor lot and pulled out my Uber Eats app to discover what was around me. Giant Panda Restaurant looked promising.In my car, I placed this takeout order:- Beef fried rice- Wontons with hot peanut sauce- Creamy chicken sweet corn soup- Mango bubble tea with coconut jellyThe drive wasn't all that far for me. it was maybe eight minutes.This eatery is on the lower level of an apartment building. There isn't a place to park in front of the main entrance on Lees Avenue. I don't recommend parking on this street. It's a single lane in either direction and you are close the ramp that gets you eastbound on highway 417. Instead, drive up the ramp on the right when you are looking at the eatery's main entrance. I recommend hanging a sharp left when you are up on the second floor. There is parking in front of this eatery's back entrance. I didn't find any spots there, so I parked in front of the apartment building. It worked out fine. It was a slightly longer walk.This place does not have an elevator from the back entrance. You basically descend a long staircase to get to the main floor. When I got there, I nice man said hi. I reciprocated and indicated that I had an Uber Eats order. He nodded and carefully got my two packages. The first one was my food in a brown paper bag. The other was a small bag with my bubble tea. I smiled and thanked him for my order. I then ascended the stairs. My order wasn't crazy size-wise. I'm thinking that if you are doing takeout with a large order, you need to find extra help to carry them up the stairs!I walked over to my car. I carefully placed my food and drink in it, and then drove back to the hotel.When I got to my room, I chowed down.The creamy chicken sweet corn soup had excellent flavour. It was naturally sweet from the corn and chicken. I loved the corn kernels that you get with every spoonful. I'm normally not a huge egg drop soup person. However, there wasn't all that much egg in this soup that it appealed to me. The soup needed more corn starch to thicken the soup, though.My mango bubble tea was yummy. I couldn't customize the sugar level. My guess is that it was at 25%. It was slightly sweet, which I didn't mind. The mango flavour made me happy. The coconut jelly was excellent. I have been into wontons and dumplings as of late. I got the wontons with hot peanut sauce. Delicious! The filling was generous and yummy. The wrapper was solid around each wonton. The sauce was spot on, with a nice balance of chili oil and peanut sauce. The chopped peanuts and green onions tied everything together. This dish rivals that from Bingz. I highly recommend this dish if you like wontons in a flavourful chili sauce and are a peanut fan.I also am not a regular beef fried rice person. I couldn't tell you when I last had some. I went with it here. It was authentically yummy.The beef was tender and flavourful. The sear on these morsels of beef was excellent. The fried rice was perfectly done. There weren't any lumps or bumps. It also had green onions, which made me happy.It was on the slightly greasy side. I need to specify less oil when I order this dish next time. The oil wasn't horribly disgusting, but you did see the shine at the bottom of the container. My meal came with a fortune cookie. I like seeing Pac-man as a cookie. We were with my elderly parents and checked in with the hostess who said they were just cleaning off a table. Fifteen minutes later we checked in again and another hostess said they were now trying to FIND us a table. All this while many other guests coming in after us were being seated. I'd understand if we were a walk-in, but we had a reso. Finally close to 7:30 after asking what appeared to be a manager, we finally sat down. The hostess who kept rolling her eyes then proceeded to slam the menus down on the table and walk away. I was really surprised as I regularly go to many different Keg locations and have never been shocked by the service. Our server definitely made up for it, as she was super lovely and saved the night for us. I've worked in the restaurant industry for many years, so I try to be more understanding but I couldn't believe how the hostesses handled that situation, not to mention the attitude and not even close to a "I'm sorry for the wait." The front of house staff at this location definitely need a brush up on their customer service.“

Oysters were amazing with minor shell breakage and the kitchen graciously took my order to have them with extra lemon and hotsauce as is traditional even though it wasnt on the menu.
