“The food is really good. The service is nice but there is one waitress that is not professional at all, she did not “allow” us to buy (pay extra) and take out our own leftovers and proceeded to tell us order less next time, and constantly telling us to hurry up even though it wasn’t even close to closing time. I would go back again for the great food but this lady makes the experience much less enjoyable.“
“TAKI JAPANESE CUISINE . . I was searching up omakase spots uptown and decided to try Taki for my birthday dinner. As soon as you step into the restaurant, it feels like you have been transported to Japan. We were greeted immediately and brought to the omakase room where we sat in front of the sushi chef. They have a $95 omakase dinner special which is the one we opted for. . $95 Omakase Dinner Special Appetizer set Osumashi soup Salmon Carpaccio Mushimomo 8pcs of sushi Hand roll (1) Umaki Dessert - Green tea pudding . . Everything was delicious, but the Toro sushi and green tea pudding dessert stood out the most. The texture and flavours were out of this world. Service was great. Our tea cups were never empty and dishes were brought out and cleared in a timely manner. We had a lovely time.“
“Love the food. The cutlets are tender, the batter is crispy, and the sauces are quite tasty. Portions are generous. Best to ask for the sauce on the side so that the cutlet doesn't get soggy. Really enjoyed the soy karaage and okonomiyaki as well.“
“This place has a lot of seatings and booth areas so you can have some privacy while dining. Extensive amount of food choices on the menu with decent prices. Ordered tempura vegetables and shrimp with 6 pieces total was only around $9. This tempura tasted truly delicious compared to other pricier restaurants! The whole staff greeted us the moment we came in with smile and felt their kindness/patience while we were looking through the menu. They were very accommodating with changing spicy salmon roll to dynamite roll in the dinner sushi sets for me since I don't eat spicy food. Other restaurants would always charge extra regardless if the price was the same or cheaper. The rice ratio for the rolls was PERFECT! Definitely the best one I've seen by far. I would love to try their signature rolls next time to see if they're the same. I would come here again for lunch and check them out. -1 star because: The sushi to rice ratio is a little too much so I had to take some off unfortunately. Also the salad that comes with the sets was bland, lettuce and 3 strings of beets.“
“The food was fresh and was served fairly quickly. The servers are friendly. The restaurant is very nicely set up (has booths which are cute!).Ordered: Spicy Maki Set (Cali, salmon and tuna), Tiger Eyes Roll (eel + dynamite), veggie tempura, edamame“
“Absolutely delicious sushi! From the fresh and flavorful fish to the perfectly seasoned rice, every bite at Akane Sushi is a delight. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, and the prices are reasonable. Our server, Mona, is extremely attentive and makes you feel so welcome. A must-visit for sushi lovers!“
“Great food and atmosphere!I ordered the Hwe Dup Bap, which was really good and had lots of fish. It came with rice and hot sauce on the side, so I was able to choose my own spice level. The menu stated that the dish came with miso soup and salad, but I was only given the soup. I asked the server, and she said that it didn't come with a salad, so there seems to be an error with the menu.Still, the food was great, and I would definitely recommend coming here if you're craving sushi!“
“had dinner at Oyaji on Tuesday after work. I had a friend who had a birthday, so I ordered a cake after dinner, and the waitress sensibly sang a birthday song for my friend Kendol. I was so grateful and happy. I am impressed with the delicious food and friendly service here. I will come back again.“
“Combination Party Tray - (Medium)Assorted Sushi - 20pcsSashimi - 32pcsRoll - 22pcsI was scared to get this but, we were hungry and it didn't disappoint .. there was 3 of us and best part was the raw octopus ?We inquire about if we can substitute the raw eel with something else.We got was the Tilapia and it didn't disappoint (see the white fish sushi)“
“Par excellence! The freshest, tastiest, most well presented Japanese seafood based dinner, bar- none! To start, the tempura was crispy outside, not oily, and the seafood tastey and the vegetables firm nor soggy. Wagu beef morsel literally melted on my tongue. The taste of the stuffed squid ring surprised me with a delicate taste that I had never experienced before. If it were light, it would be like seeing a new color never seen before. After this, my pallette was reset with a creamy tofu dish that had a hint of Wasabi. If the sashimi was any fresher, the fish would be swimming its way to the table. Such perfect flavourful and texture. What I thought was desert after so many succulent plates turned out to a cold, diced medley of flavored sashimi in champagne glass, topped with caviar and gold flakes. This exclusive Japanese restaurant is a must go to, at least once. It is expensive. For the private room, five-star personal servers, and of course the extraordinary food, it is well worth the experience.“
“2024 March 3.5★A small restaurant with about 8 to 10 tables that seat 4 each.Chef Nigiri(8pcs) $29.99A selection of chef selected fish. Good presentation and flavors. Would recommend.Oyster Bomb $22.99Fried oyster sushi. Good for the kids.Black Cod $17.99Miso cod fish. The fish was thin. While pretty decent, not worth the price.Beef Sukiyaki $21.99Pretty decent, but not really authentic.Saba 7 Spices $13.49Grilled fish with seasoning. Ok.Veggie Tempura $9.99A good selection and variety of veggies. Gets soggy quick. Batter could be better.Food isn't bad, though it's not considered cheap. You'll find this place busy and a reservation is recommended.Free parking available in the plaza.“
“I arrived in Canada late, so I stopped by and went to a Korean restaurant. The owner was very kind, and when I said there was no place to buy beer, he gave me a ride to the supermarket and the food was delicious.!!! Boss, please stay healthy and stay for a long time~^^♡“
“I have always liked eating shinta, and I often eat it with my teammates and babies. The first time I wrote a Google review was because I encountered very good service this time - Sister Jenny!Parents with babies all know that if they cannot take their two-year-old baby out to eat, the baby will look around and not eat properly. Sister Jenny not only provides good service, but is also better for the baby! I keep talking to the baby to ask him to eat quickly, and the baby just keeps eating hard hahaha. They gave us a cup because they were worried that the baby wouldn't be able to hold the ice cream! Thanks ? I wish you a prosperous business!Kid-friendliness: very suitable! Baby friendly!“
“Like eating a delicious cloud! These cream buns come in a variety of flavors such as matcha, red bean, orange and original. It is literally a soft pillowy bread surrounding a cream filling. It not too sweet or heavy but have a smooth, milky and creamy filling. The bun is light as air and so delicious and just melts in your mouth!“
“The sushi is meticulously crafted by chefs using high-quality ingredients. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and inviting. The staff are warm and welcoming. Even though the wait time is a little bit long, the food quality is well worth the wait.“
“I give this place 5 stars for both the super friendly service by the staff and also for the food. Located in a strip mall in a very quiet area, you can almost miss this spot. I came here for their 29.99 all you can eat dinner and it was definitely worth the price. You need to eat this mandatory miso soup, salad and sushi/sashimi/ roll set before you can order what you want. The set is small and easy to finish. We made a mistake and that is that we ordered way too much. THE ROLLS ARE BIG! each roll is big with 8 pieces. Don't make the same mistake and order them all thinking they're easy to finish. Although me and my boyfriend finished the rolls., we were so extremely full after we were in pain. The staff even warned us TWICE that we were ordering a lot but we didn't listen. Next time we will. The sushi is good quality for an ayce place and we were highly satisfied with the selection of sushi/sashimi and rolls. Do keep in mind this place is not like other Japanese restaurants and for the ayce option there is no tempura/udon/etc that you would expect. Ur is strictly fish fish fish. There is also no dessert. But for this price you can not complain at all. Would come back.“
“I had a Chirashi Don and the sashimi was fresh and the selection was of a high quality but the price was much lower than other places we go. Also, I don’t see crab tempura often and it was well priced and crispily perfect!Very clean contemporary place, quiet as it seems a lot of their business is delivery.“
“?A consistent and high quality sushi chain ? // Visited the R. Hill location for my first time last night and it did not disappoint. The service was quick and the sushi was fresh and delicious. Seating inside is quite limited so suggest planning accordingly, especially on weekends (I’d suggest going before 5pm or after 7pm) They also don’t take reservations, so this is another thing to keep in mind.Pictured below ???- Rainbow roll- Orangeville roll- Spicy tuna maki- Sashimi appetizer- Wakame saladLooking forward to my next visit ?Vegetarian options: Yes - sweet potato rolls, veggie tempura, Mia soup, Wakame salad, etc.“
“Great sushi spot in Richmond Hill. All you can eat is pricey for both lunch and dinner but they offer a la carte as well. Food is tasty and served quick. New owner upgraded the ambiance from the old restaurant that was here which was 1000% necessary!Vegetarian options: Has a few vegetarian sushi options and the basics - tempura, soup and salad.Parking: Ample parking.“
“Tried curry chicken karaage last time. Chicken is crunchy and not so oily so I decided to try Niku curry udon this time. Unexpected too salty for the beef. Hard to eat it at the end even though I drunk a lot of water. Besides the staff are nice. And all of the order are passed by the robot, quite interesting.“
“Friendly service.Ordered couple times for work events and social events.Price is amazing and the food is great. The new owners have added items on the menu you should try.Kid-friendliness: Udon and Don-katsu is great selection for kids. As it is located in a foodcourt, lots of other selection for kids as well.Parking: Located in a plaza with lots of parking.“
“Best sushi I ever had in a long time!!!!! Fixed my sushi craving, thanks Mitsui. Best in Richmond Hill by far2024 March update"After an extensive renovation, my beloved Japanese culinary haven in Richmond Hill/Vaughan has returned in all its glory. The ambiance now exudes an authentic Japanese theme, adorned with exquisite decorations that transport diners to the heart of Japan.Opting for takeout due to time constraints, we embarked on a familiar culinary journey, only to be met with delightful surprises on the revamped menu. My palate was treated to the sensational flavors of their new poke bowl, reminiscent of the ones savored in Hawaii. Each bite, from the luscious fatty tuna to the delicate salmon roe, sang with freshness, perfectly complemented by impeccably fluffy rice.Meanwhile, my wife indulged in her customary Tonkatsu (Pork Katsu), and her satisfaction was palpable. Noteworthy was the meticulous scoring of the fish on their sushi, a testament to their unwavering commitment to culinary excellence. Beyond mere aesthetics, this technique enhances the texture and mouthfeel, elevating each sushi experience to new heights.Returning to this culinary gem was a delightful surprise, blending nostalgia with innovative twists that captivated our senses. Truly a culinary journey worth revisiting time and again."“
“This restaurant has to be my go-to sushi place in Richmond Hill. It used to be Ai Sushi. However, I started to drift after realizing how much of a gem Kibo is. We ordered the small maki platter from here for the second time, and I still enjoyed the rice to ingredients ratio significantly. Flavour is never lacking and everything is always so fresh. Consistency is key.I never realized how many Kibo sushi restaurants there are in the GTA, but am I ever glad to have found this place. Living in North Richmond Hill, options are limited.Everything is priced very well here and it is always affordable because there are daily specials that could really accommodate your budget.Kibo is embedded inside an indoor strip mall with mildly awful parking. I can never see the lines on the asphalt...that being said I will be returning. This place is affordable and yummy. That's all we could really ask for!“
“Hug use to be a dine in restaurant but since the pandemic has changed to takeout only. It’s a window area to pick up takeout. We got a platter for 60pcs and when I paid they chose to keep my change on my behalf lol. Was kind of surprised. Then my partner asked for extra sauce and they had the nerve to ask for $1 lol. Very good service otherwise and food is mediocre at best. It’s not bad and nothing notable. Although we did find fish scale in a couple of the salmon pieces.“
“I was really impressed with the sushi restaurant I visited recently. The freshness of the ingredients enhanced the taste of the food, and the stylish interior created a very comfortable atmosphere. The servers were also notably friendly. While delivery is fine, I highly recommend visiting in person to experience the ambiance!“
“We've eaten here MANY times before, and every time we are impressed with the taste of the food. It's a bit on the pricey side - but it is well worth it! The food is great along with the variety you receive - partner that with the exquisite service makes this WELL WORTH YOUR TIME AND MONEY to visit them. Make sure to make a reservation out of common courtesy to the owners! We DID have one bone in the sashimi once though - but that is ok because they sincerely apologized immediately.“
“Food is so good! If you're coming to this area you know the parking is horrendous. Come anyway to try this place! Order things other than your usual izakaya skewer. Service was great and attractive. I took one star off for atmosphere because the music was so loud even for bar standards. If you're coming with younger kids be aware some menu items have some spice to it.“
“We always get take out from here, and we decided to come in for dinner. As expected the food was delicious, truly a great sushie place. The server was kind, polite, attentive. Always a bonus watching sushi being rolled. Gal's sushi is on the "pricy" side but for good raw fish, it'l important and that is why! Go if you are in Markham!“
“Honestly the best sushi i have had! Their their beef yaki udon is the absolute best as well! i wish i had a megaphone for the world to hear! the staff is so friendly as well! the quality and taste of food is thesame everytime! i highly highly recommend! order it now! you're welcome because you'll definitely be thankful you ordered.“
“Located insite Hmart, I tried their hot Dalgona Cafe late and it was delicious. The lady at the counter was friendly and kind, she even gave us some coffee sugar crisps to try. I'm looking forward to try the cold version in summer and also their shaved ice deserts. Overall they have unique offerings in their menu. I also loved the cute miniature on display.“
“I don't often crave sushi but when I do this is my go To. Service is always excellent and the food is always delicious. The place is always clean and I would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Vegetarian options: There are plenty options“
“Like a neighborhood japanese restaurant. I think it runs by a Japanese lady and a chef. I wanted to try my lunch somewhere new, and this place seems to exist for long, but I've never been. So I decided to make a visit. We ordered Miyabi set for two, which came with salad, steamed egg(which I love), assorted sushi and sashimi, ice cream for dessert.Food serving is very slow. You need to be very patient. But yes, it's really fresh and feels like you are invited to a Japanese house for lunch. Our tea was refilled every 10 minutes. I would go again when I'm not in a rush or take out next time.“
“Awesome place. I haven't had celiac friendly sushi for a very long time. I am very sensitive and get really sick if I eat any gluten or even something cross-contaminated. Tomo Japanese Restaurant was a great experience in terms of food, service, atmosphere, and above all safety for me and my son. People with Celiac and NCGS, Tomo is a really nice place with safe gluten-free food, highly recommended. :)“
“The food is very good, prices also good, service excellent. Our only reservation is about the constant parade of take-out and delivery-pick-up agents coming through. It degrades the otherwise pleasant atmosphere, and when the delivery agents are using a bicycle, the noisy cyclist shoes are a further distraction.“
“Assorted Sushi Sashimi - 100pcs tray was absolutely fabulously put together!Visually appealing, everything tasted so fresh, and a great deal for the price ($80 including tax)!!!Mix of sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi ... salmon was delicious, especially the two slices from the belly. So much variety to choose from ... few pieces of fresh scallop, squid, clam, shrimp, tuna, imitation crab ... to California rolls with masago, salmon wrapped, tuna, avocado and cucumber plus more!Very appreciative of the cuts and portions of the fish...it was normal and very filling; I've come across some places, where to save money, the slices are very thin for sashimi and the rolls are cut into smaller pieces. Will definitely order again! Trays are perfect for events or any meal of the day. You can choose different number of pieces, depending on party size.“
“My first time going here and what a treat. This boutique sushi spot popped up top rated and it’s no surprise why. I found out they’ve been here almost 25 years at the same location. The most humble couple are the original owners and were so kind and pleasant to speak with. Fresh food, warm vibes, and amazing service will have me back here again!“
