“Overall the experience was fantastic - great ambient, top-notch Sichuan cuisine, and the waitress Cora was very polite and sweet. The only thing I guess that could be improved is to add a separate door or curtain as the seats near the door get this freezing cold wind whenever someone walks in on cold days.“
“Delicious and quick late night meal. Service was fast and we got our food shortly after ordering it. We ordered the beef noodle, wonton and cold noodle side dish. Everything was delicious and it’s great value for the amount of food you get. The noodle is freshly pulled and is bouncy in texture. We will definitely be coming back for out late night noodle cravings.“
“In my family's noodle base, I have eaten at many Lanzhou ramen restaurants, large and small, and this one is the best for my family's taste. Oriental Palace’s traditional beef noodles and hand-caught mutton are my must-order menus. The fried noodles and roujiamo are delicious.“
“The lamb skewers and popcorn chicken were flavourful and delectable. We chose the med spicy soup base which had the perfect amount of kick. The beef slices and snakehead fish filet were fresh and had good texture. We especially appreciated the unlimited soy milk. Would definitely come again.“
“Chuan Chuan Xiang buffet??The tomato pot is very rich! Don’t be too crazy when you dip it into mahjong~ The coriander beef is really delicious! The buffet also has steamed buns, sesame balls, fruits, and ice cream. It’s really worth it! !“
“Came here for dinner for 6 people. Although the tables are a little small and services are lacking, the food is truly amazing! I'll list the food with ranking from best to good.Spicy stir fried gold coin egg with perilla has a thick and savoury sauce. Hardboiled eggs are cut into coins and deep fried, then tossed in a mince pork, black bean paste and chilli sauce. Perilla and carrots added the sweetness that brings the whole dish together. This is an unbelievable way to eat eggs. Must try!Stir fried pork slices with green pepper is a classic chinese dish that has many variations. I can't comment on the authenticity, but I certainly found it incredibly well made. The pork slices are cooked to the right texture and green chillies are fresh. The sauce collected the smoky flavour from the hot wok as it was fried. Incredible dish to eat with rice.Hunan boiled fish fillet in hot chilli oil used freshly sliced black fish instead of frozen basa as seen in most restaurants. This makes the fish neither flakey nor watery, but tender and oozing with flavour instead. The chilli oil fully bloomed the numbing peppercorn and dried red chillies that excites your pallette as the fish lands on your tongue. Konjak jelly noodles and cucumbers are great choices to add to the dish, providing differences in texture. There are spicy chicken offal dishes and skewers that I really wanted to try next. When I'm in the area again, I'll come back for more.“
“Came for their $19.99 basic lunch AYCE and ordered two soup base, the total was around $30. Although basic set only include three kinds of meat and three kinds of sea food, me and my frds had a really good time enjoying the food in 2hrs. The overall experience is really good and will definitely come again!“
“One2 Snacks and Restoran Malaysia - my 2 favourite malay food spots in the GTA.This resto is literally like 8 seats. If you dine in, make sure you order laksa cuz it tastes way better as a dine-in item. I've voted their laksa, the best laksa in toronto and no I didn't stutter. The char kuey teow is also fantastic and has such amazing wok hay. I like that the portion sizes are absolutely gargantuan. Always feel like I'm getting maximum bang for my buck. The pad thai is ok. It's not as good as some other places. You can prolly skip trying this item if you order here.Curry puffs have really good spice but are a little on the dry side. I think that's just the way these are supposed to taste though.Out of all the desserts: kuih dadar (rolled coconut crepe) was my favourite. The other ones were either too contrasting of a sweet and salty nature or just too texturous haha. I didn't try the kuih seri durian because well ... not a fan of durian LOL.The family is some of the nicest people around. Always down for a chat when they're not busy.“
“The food preparation here is neat. I could tell that the food is prepared clean.I also like the service and atmosphere in this Bingz location. The workers will always serve you with a smile and they’re very approachable. Me and my friends always feel welcome. They’re very friendly.“
“I am giving 5 stars for the Chili Chicken & Chicken Wings and fried rice.Service is quick too and the two guys who work at the front when I came in today were both nice.Chili Chicken (Dry) is the bomb! ? Our go-to Chinese restaurant in Scarborough. ?“
“I've heard many praises for Kroran Uyghur Cuisine and was thrilled to experience it firsthand. My visit during Ramadan resulted in a very quiet ambiance, reflecting not on the restaurant's quality but the fasting period observed by its primary clientele. Here’s what I ordered:Lamb Kawap (Kebab): This dish was a highlight, with four large, juicy grilled lamb skewers presented over pita bread, complemented by onion and green onion garnishes. Using a spoon, I transferred the meat to my plate, and enjoyed the meat that was tender and juicy. Smoky and earthy spices enhanced the lamb's natural flavours.Kidney Kawap: A skewer per order, it had a bold, gamey flavour, with a delightful blend of smoky and spicy tastes.Quruq Qorima: An intriguing dry stir-fry featuring short, chewy noodles coated with a savoury and slightly sour sauce, primarily tomato-based. The beef slices and julienned bell pepper added layers of texture and flavour. Dry peppers scared me at first, but the overall taste was surprisingly mild. The restaurant’s ambiance was understated but inviting, with tasteful decor including black tables, light brown walls, and captivating art pieces.A minor inconvenience was the single shared restroom for all genders, which could potentially lead to issues during busier times. Also, the server's availability was limited, understandable given that we were the only patrons. While the dishes were undoubtedly high quality, the total bill was higher than my expectations. A more affordable pricing would have improved my satisfaction with the meal.Overall, I had an authentic and enjoyable meal, marked by quality dishes. However, the cost considerations will influence my decision on planning a return visit for another indulgent culinary adventure.“
“Liked this place for their flavour full bbq food. But they only take debit or cash. We went in groups of 4 and we asked for two bills he said no one bill and one person pay and then the other e-transfer the half. It was weird because our waiter is telling us what to do. They should be able to split the bill and charge us. Cause what happens when you come with a bunch of people it makes it inconvenient for one person cause he or she would have to have the funds to cover the entire amount in cash or debit.“
“I was around the area and was craving for bao zi (Chinese Bun) last summer and googled this place, which was just across the street I was at. I was very pleased to find this place. I ordered some Shanghai Shio Lung Pao (it was so juicy and fresh) and some different kinds of dumplings as well as pan-fried dumplings for takeout. They were tasty, but I believe the food will taste better if eaten at the restaurant right away rather than taking it home. However, the place is very small and could only fit about 14 to 16 people. I had to wait about 20 mins for the food since they are made fresh and maybe also because they just opened that month when I visited. The lady who must be one of the owners was very friendly and introduced the dishes quite well. They also had some San Tung Da Paos (specialty big baos from the province of San Tung) that you need to pre-order with a minimum order of 30 pieces for $2.5 each. (Price might have changed now. ) They also have frozen dumplings that you can order and eat at a later time at home.I would recommend this place for people who are craving for Chinese buns or dumplings as you won't be disappointed. I'd give it a 4.2/5 rating and would like to go back to dine in with my husband, who is a dumpling fan!Vegetarian options: There were some vegetarian dumplings and buns. Not sure if they had lots of varieties or not since it's been a while since I was there.Parking: Parking was limited during lunch hours.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is too small and wheelchair is not recommended. Better have someone order this for takeout.“
“Seemed to be a family style restaurant. Tried the braised beef noodle which the noodles are supposed to be hand made but not as chewy as I like. Braised beef slices were made from boneless shank meat and quite tender. Bowl is quite big and portions decent for its price. We got the leek, shrimp and pork dumplings and chose pan fried instead of steamed or boiled. The dumplings wraps were more chewy and pan fried nicely.“
“Overall it is a restaurant that provides authentic Dongbei cuisine.Fresh Cold It was tasty. The soup was sour and sweet. The noodles were chewy. I did not like the cucumber and apple were not fully cut. I was expecting strips but they were all connected.Chives, Egg, Pork, & Shrimp Like dumpling wrappers with a chewy texture and filling with juicy meat.“
“Great food! Family purchased the medium spicy and it was just what we needed. Definitely will come back to try the spiciest option with some friends! All the ingredients tasted fresh and were cooked well, flavors were full and paired really well with the rice. Service was fast and restaurant was clean and tidy.“
“I went here on my birthday with family and I would say it was pretty decent place to dine out. As a Caribbean restaurant it comes with what you expect: DJ/band performances, loud but good atmosphere, and good food/drinks.The food I ordered was the:-Chilli Chicken-Chilli Chicken poutine-Avenue special Chow Mein-A shrimp platterThose dishes were good and my only complaints are that the chowmein was salty and the chili chicken was more sweet than spicy.“
“Fresh Sushi at a great price. I'm surprised that this is not a busy place. They only have a limited choice of sushi sets and they are made fresh. They have a new item of hamburger with shrimp and cuttle fish pattie. The price is $5.99 and they have great taste and they even toasted the buns.“
“Overall 3 stars, plus extra 1 star for the effort. The food was great, but a few major downsides.- Friendly employees, hugely understaffed. We waited roughly 70mins for the second order of our food. 10mins to be able to flag someone for our bill.- If it’s cold out, we may want to visit on warmer days. It was freezing. I’ve never eaten at a restaurant with my down jacket on.I will definitely try this place again. My hope is they would make some minor improvements.“
“As the old saying goes, “Variety is the spice of life,” and if this is true then Mandarin Restaurant is the place for you. My wife and I took our family to the Mandarin for dinner. At this all you can eat buffet there were so many different kinds of foods to choose from that it was truly mind boggling. From hot Chinese dishes, Roast Beef, cold salads, and sweet desserts there was plenty to go around. My family filled up our plates multiple times and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely. I highly recommend this terrific restaurant.“
“The service is super quick and friendly. I dined in and noticed that they treat the Uber eats drivers with the same amount of respect and friendliness as their customers! Food itself is awesome and great portion-I couldn’t even finish all of it I had to pack the leftover home. Will definitely come “
“Came here with a couple of friends to catch up on life back in January.Food was really good, the skewers were absolutely amazing. I usually frequent Chat Bar for skewers but i think Ten Miles has overtaken them by “ten miles” (get it)Service is really good here. They also have daily specials going on. So be on the look out for those.“
“Came here for a quick dinner. We ordered shrimp wonton with fishball and egg noodle soup and also shrimp wonton with egg noodle lo mein and an order of choy sum.It came pretty fast but, they managed to screw up the order and what we ordered was reversed lol. We told the staff and quickly corrected the order for us.The lo mein has a bit more egg noodles and still has the bowl of wonton soup in the side. Both meals tasted great. The shrimp wontons have large pieces of shrimp not chopped up and tasted yummy with a little red vinegar.Portions are good for price and it was not too busy for sit in or take out orders when we were there (6pm). Staff are friendly and reatuarant is clean. I will be back for a quick bite again soon.“
“Came here for Chinese New Year with the family. It was our first time going here & it was delicious! Everything that we ordered was fresh, flavourful, cooked well. I would definitely go back & would recommend to others. The staff was friendly & accommodated us very well.“
“Good food, always busy.Got the noodles with beef, general Tao chicken, fried rice and mixed vegitables.Meat was all very tender and flavourful, vegitables were crisp. The order was ready in 15 min.Good to know: 10% off if you pay cash, credit not accepted, hard to place an order on the phone since they are always busy.“
“Had the Lamp Spine pot, large size & great taste. Never had a Lamp spine pot with such large spines. Lol! If you need less spice, they can adjust accordingly. The service was awesome too! Was very thoughtful. Will definitely come again! Highly “
“Love the rice noodle here! One of the best and with unlimited refills is a plus! Soup tastes delicious and the food is priced really well! The rice dishes and popcorn chicken is also delicious considering it’s a noodle place! Definitely one of the best budget eats in Scarborough when looking for a quick filling bite!“
“I’m so glad I stumbled on this place! I drive by frequently and had no idea I was missing out. Had the Shrimp Roti and asked for it to be spicy and it was delicious. They have homemade hot sauce so of course I had to add more!! 10/10 recommend!“
“A solid congee place in north Scarborough in Alton Tower Circle. We had a group of 8 and we ordered quite a lot of food. The most awesome dish was the jumbo-sized crab claw. As big as an old kid's fist and I am not exaggerating. Good satisfaction as I didn't have it for a long long time. Good Asian congee place. Recommended!“
“This small Cantonese restaurant hidden in the food court on the second floor of Oriental Plaza actually has lobster, mandarin fish and other seafood that are only available in large restaurants. It is really amazing. Today, a friend and I came here because of the lobster. We went for the noodles, but we didn’t expect it to be sold out. Fortunately, other Japanese set menus also had individual lobsters. We ordered Sanwa dish A, which included a whole stir-fried lobster with ginger tea, a pineapple sweet and sour pork, and a tofu-roasted beef. , the lobster is very fresh and tastes very authentic, the beef is tender and fragrant, the sweet and sour pork is crispy and sour, the pork inside is very fresh, the portion is sufficient and the price is low, the rice and soup provided are delicious. During the waiting period, we pay attention Yes, the kitchen of this restaurant is very clean, and there is not a trace of dirt. If I were to comment on the cleanest kitchen, this restaurant deserves it. I can only say that the owner and his wife are really attentive. In short, this is a preserved restaurant worth visiting.“
“If you didn't know about this place you would drive right by it. Prices and portion sizes are great especially for hungry students in the area. Sweet & sour spare ribs, chicken fried rice chop suey and 3 mini egg rolls. I truly enjoyed my dinner yesterday and will go back later in the week to try another combo.“
“It's Lao Liuzi's canteen. The environment in the store is very old, but the taste is good in my opinion!1. Choose cabbage-based fish for boiled fish.2. The beef patties are super delicious and made to order.3. There are special old Beijing noodles. The donkey rolling we ordered was also freshly made and delicious!4. Beef fritters are very special! ! Sweet and sour, the fried dough sticks are crispy! !“
“The price is great. $11-12 lunch or dinner set comes with soup or fruit. the taste is great. a few things-foodwhy I rate the food 4 star because the deep fried stuff se time it's not very crispy, I believe either the oil is been reuse many times or oil not hot enough.-servicetry to call in to order our lunch. but no one picked up the phone even though they are not busy.-store environmentit's clean, but not enough tables and chairs. more like order to take out from the store“
“Yesterday was my first time ordering from this restaurant l got Hakka beef noodles/ Bombay chicken/ Tie rice/ chicken pokora. The food was amazing the portions was huge. I highly recommend the tie rice it was so good. It's a must try!! The price was so cheap compared to other restaurants l had leftover for the next day l am looking forward to try another dish but l will go back to tie rice Thank you for a wonderful meal see you soon.“
“January 20, 2024 update: New improved location at Chartwell Shopping Center complex - 2375 Brimley Road (Huntingwood and Brimley)Love this place. The staff are always pleasant and very courteous. The staff run it well and efficient - common dishes usually take under a min to be in front of you after ordering!I usually just have the plain egg noodles and my parents usually have the egg noodles with wonton or dumplings (one is shrimp only and the other has meat mixed with shrimp, in case you are wondering you wondering what the difference is). The egg noodle is best eaten fresh on the spot, especially mixed with red vinegar and their delicious hot sauce. My only feedback is that the dumplings / wontons are huge and can get stuffy (feedback from my mom) and if they can consider making the wonton / dumpling smaller, it will help.“
“The spinach liangpi is out of this world and at $8.00 what a deal. Very tasty when you add the sauces. Also the pulled pork mo is delicious, as good as what I have had in South CarolinaUnfortunately only takeout.Parking: Not many spots so you might have to wait a minute or two“
“Eating at this restaurant was certainly a great pleasure. The service here was off this planet, and the food tasted immaculate. Not only did it have great flavour and taste, but it really raised my standards to above the moon. If I could come here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I guarantee you, I would.“
“We have clear broth, lunch ayce menu. Broth is salty, had to add a lot of water. I prefer beef to lamb. If you like lamb, my friend enjoyed the lamb wonton on the side bar more than the lamb meat itself as they were more juicy. Beef meatball was also good. Bok choy, watercress, mushroom ears were veggies I enjoyed. The sauce bar is the same as Hadilao's.Drink is self-served, free soda and it's actually not the diluted one (so be careful w feeling full). The service is bare minimum, I wish they helped dispose fat on top of the broth halfway through. Overall good value. We weren't supposed to get popsicles (we came at the end of the lunch menu so the staff got confused). Taste was slightly on the bland side to me, but my friend loved it.Vibe: we didn't speak Mandarin but everyone else was and the music was mostly C-pop with occasional USUK 2010s pop.“
“Most cost-effective noodle soup in town (as of February 2024). I like all their meat products. This place seems being ran by one gentleman. He recommended the pork feet today instead of pork cheeks because the former was made just before we arrived (while the latter was more expensive). I will definitely recommend to enjoy a bowl of noodle soup at the place and order some takeout as well.I had eaten at this restaurant a few years ago, but I didn't expect it to survive the epidemic. When I came to eat today, the soup noodles still cost nine yuan a bowl, and the taste was the same as before. We originally ordered takeout of pork belly and pork cheek, but the boss recommended freshly cooked pig's feet, so we replaced the pork cheek with this one. It was really delicious. This is the only Chinese restaurant in this plaza, which is a bit hard to find.“
“The place has a very cozy atmosphere and casual. The staff was very friendly and the food came fast. The eggs and toast were hot and the noodles were great. The cost was worth what I got, very budget-friendly. I will definitely come again.Parking: Lots of parking, not difficult to park.Kid-friendliness: Very friendly staff“
“It’s been almost half a year since I moved to Scarborough and I’ve ordered meals from many nearby restaurants. Either the food is not delicious, the rice is rough and hard to swallow, or the price is expensive and the portions of meat and dishes are very small. It can be said that I have not ordered them before. I've been to a takeaway that I was satisfied with. Today, I ordered an octopus chicken rice from this store for the first time through uber eats. It was so surprising. The rice was smooth, delicate and caramelized. I felt that the store bought good rice. The octopus-flavored chicken tasted good and the portion was very generous. , and also sent a box of fresh vegetables separately. Oh my god, there are too many vegetables. When I cooked by myself, I didn’t cook so many vegetables. Except for the soup that was sent, it was not that thick. Everything else was too much. Well, I can feel that the store owner is a generous and dedicated business person. I have a good impression of this store and give it a 5-star rating! I hope the soup can be made better! Will try other flavors tomorrow.“
“The food is okay! Pick your own toppings & ingredients that you want for your bowl & price on weight total - like typical Hot Pot / Dry Pot streetfood in ChinaThe service here is bad, no smiling, bad attitude like you coming here beg for food, not pay for it. Both of the server only focusing on their phone, and not happily when we ask some questions on how the orders, paying work since its the 1st time we come here. They only accept cash or debit - which should be state at door too.Overall experience: 7/10 - will definitely come back but buy take out like others people next time, its a heavy atmosphere to dine in“
“Great local community restaurant! If you blink driving bye you might miss it. Very unassuming place for great food. The pepper shrimp, wings, wonton soup and ginger fried rice are my personal favourite.Friendly staff. Truly a family establishment.“
“Quick service as per their name. They serve "Crossing Bridge" vermicelli and you can order extra noodles without charges. They also have a drinks bar for example bubble tea. Good variety of broth and ingredients. Beware that they have 3 peppers spicy, which does live up to the “
“We’ve been going to this place for awhile now , my hubby loves one of the soup menu , the chow mein noodles which we always have to ask them to remove or add ingredients and they are always very accommodating. My hubby is a picky eater. Price is pretty reasonable.“
“An absolute gem for lovers of spicy Chinese cuisine! MAOCAI, a type of spicy Chinese cuisine, is a delightful culinary adventure for those seeking bold flavors and a fiery kick. This traditional dish originates from the Sichuan province and is renowned for its rich, complex flavors and tongue-tingling spice. This restaurant not only delivers on taste but also offers unbeatable prices, making it a go-to spot for anyone seeking delicious food without breaking the bank. “We finished our meal before closing time, and the waitress was so nice! I have rarely encountered such a warm and friendly service industry worker in Toronto. It really makes people feel like they are in the spring breeze, and I can feel that she is serious and responsible for her work. She really takes care of her customers' needs and is not impatient at all. Such a person will definitely be the most impressive in any industry! When we left, I said Happy New Year to her, and she bent down and rummaged through the cabinet for a long time, and found an Alpine for me and gave it to me? It was so touching! I really want to say to her that you made my day❤️❤️❤️I wish you all the best and good luck❤️❤️❤️“
“I ate soup dumplings for the first time today! Hahaha, it’s fun and delicious?. I ordered a bowl of Chaos, it was very light and I liked it very much?. Personally, I prefer pure meat xiaolongbao. I think it is more delicious than crab powder xiaolongbao?. The service and atmosphere are very good. I like the paintings on the wall!“
“Great great food. Be aware you need to come with someone that at least knows Mandarin to dine here.We ordered the biang biang mian, liang pi, pork rou jia mo, and the hong shao niu rou mian. It was all very good and I would get it all again!Portions are adequate but not China sized, and prices could be a bit lower, but still totally worth it for the taste!Owner was friendly and helpful when ordering. Definitely coming back!Parking: Small parking lot that fills up quick if not here early enough“
“I love this place. Me and my friends practically live here. The menu selection is enormous and the food quality is exceptional. My favourite soup base is their Spicy Soup Base with Milk (麻辣牛奶火锅), but their Tomato Soup Base (番茄底料) slaps just as hard. My favourite meat item is their Sliced Beef Brisket (精品肥牛), which is discounted on weekdays!Boy oh boy, where do I even begin. Server Tommy... I have admired you ever since I first laid eyes on you. The manner in which you walk around, gushing with charisma. The way you gracefully bring me my soup and strike awe in my friends eyes. Your silky smooth handling of dishes, and that gorgeous ladling. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you retire. You had your challenges, but you never gave up hope. You are even amazing outside of Haidilao; you are a great man, and sometimes I even call you dad. I forever dread and weep, thinking of the day you will one day retire. I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy over the years. Not only have you elevated the name of Haidilao and changed the world forever, but you have eternally changed my world. And now you're getting older, but still the goat, my goat. I love you king, my glorious king, Server Tommy. <3In conclusion, this Haidilao will not only exceed your hotpot expectations, it will leave you itching to go back the very next day.“
