“Went for St Patrick's lunch after the parade 11 of us had no problem scoring a table. The food was great! An added bonus was having Guinness on draft! “Located in the lobby of the One King building, Teller's acts as both the hotel's bar and restaurant. We were there luckily on a Thursday night and they had a live jazz band performing from 530-830, which was an unexpected delight.We started with drinks and apps by the bar and transitioned to one of their restaurant tables. The calamari and Korean chicken tacos were both really great. The calamari was tender and easy to eat, a far departure from the rubber bands one can get at the wrong place. The tacos were a generous size, with a great crunchy texture. If you come during their happy hour, the food is only 9.99! Very affordable.When our friends arrived we moved over to one of the high top tables thoughtfully reserved away from the band so we could actually chat. I had the truffle pizza and it was great. Only critique was that it took an hour to get our table of 8 all our mains, otherwise it would be 5 stars.“
“Move over chat bar, because good brothers (or as my friends and I call it), good homies BBQ is THE skewer place in town. I’ve been to this location a few times now and each time it gets better. The skewers are tasty, good value, and come out QUICK. It’s almost always busy here but thankfully they have two locations side by side now so you can always see which one has a shorter wait.My fav dishes here are definitely the skewers (lamb, beef, chicken cartilage, wings, etc) and you cannot go wrong with any of them. The steamed oysters and scallops are also AMAZING and comes with a drool worthy garlic sauce. I like ordering a garlic cucumber and cabbage to balance out all the meat. Their fried rice doesn’t have much flavour but it works well with the saltier meats. Definitely check this place out with a group of friends so you can try everything!“

“Top notch food, great prices, and incredible beer selections. This place has everything you would expect to experience at a brewery establishment. I tried the Mediterranean Lamb burger with home fries and my wife had the Chicken and Waffle. Both dishes were amazing! We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the tastes and overall presentation. We plan to go back again and again cause the menu is that awesome! It was banal compared to other offerings on the menu.The other guests at my table were very impressed by the Drake Burger which was much cheaper than the steak and everyone agreed it was the best burger they ever had. The Bone-In Shnitzel was also very well recieved.We had sushi as an appetizer and I was thoroughly impressed by the explosion of flavor in the Spicy Saké Maki.Service staff were friendly, professional, and highly attentive to our needs.Some of the meals here can be very expensive, but you'll get what you paid for.“

“Went with a group of friends and was not disappointed! Peter our server was an amazing host, he had great recommendations and made us feel special by insisting we try some vino verde, which was excellent. Food was delicious (flaming sausage, grilled squid, tiger shrimp and chicken) and reminded us all of our trip to Portugal. Ended the night with a dessert called heavenly cream, it’s a must try. Will definitely be back!“

“The place has been in that location for a long time so clearly they're doing something right. The service is attentive and friendly. The bar is spacious with a large upstairs and a considerable downstairs as well. I've been a couple of times and both times the bar was far from full, I think it's large size only adds to this empty feeling. They have a somewhat limited but classic beer menu with a couple interesting local beers on tap. Overall if you're in the area and looking for a pint I would recommend stopping in but I wouldn't expect my mind to be blown.“

Live music on Sundays (perhaps more days - it is just the day we seem to go). You only have "two" options in the area for old school, so I recommend The Local if you want ambiance and good times.“
“I went on a trip to Canada for my birthday and I really wanted to try something more local and authentic, I saw there was poutine so I decided to come here and it was soooooo good. The poutine was so yummy plus vegan, it was even better than I expected it to be. My burger was so good too, it was a real burger, I enjoyed it so much. My dad also said the salmon was super good. So I definitely recommend it if you want something more calm. The waitresses were friendly as well! :)“
