“James, this review is for you! I seldom go to Starbucks. Went in to the shop on Queen and Kenilworth in the Beaches, and James was behind the cash. He engaged every customer with a friendly smile, eye contact, even a quick question or comment that engaged them if they were willing to chat and they in turn started to smile. The Chai Latte was great as usual, but the customer engagement won my heart that day. Thanks James“

The warm exchanges and friendly service from team members is quite often the best part of my day.I have no idea how they're able to remember so many details on their regulars. It's truly impressive. There is always an overall fun, vibrant and efficient vibe.It seems that the team members not only function and work well together, but that they're also enjoying themselves as well.“

“Love this location for the staff. They always greet you with a smile and a hello. They get to know your order and that gives a very welcoming feeling.Downside - because they closed the Grenview location on Bloor St, this location (Thompson) can get very very busy and parking is not good at all. It can be very hectic finding a spot and long wait times. While school is in, the lunch hour (11:30am -1pm.approx) and end of school day (2:30pm -3:30pm) fills with high-school students. Very packed. Beware of not paying the parking meter. I ran in to grab a coffee and came out to a $30 parking ticket. They ticket often.Starbucks should consider re opening the old Grenview location or another one close by again.“

Lots of people, often not ordering anything, sit in the four-seaters while plunking their bags down onto the table top, so that others cannot find anywhere to sit. Having said that, the atmosphere is pleasant, the staff friendly, and the area clean.“

“This occurred on Oct 4th at roughly 5:15pm.THE BEST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!Firstly WOW. Just wow. These ladies (I believe Carolina and May?) plus the manager made my kids week. I ordered a coffee for myself and while in line these ladies complimented my boys and gave them both Starbucks fall temporary tattoos. They got my kids all excited by showing their own real tattoos and helped them apply the temp tattoos to my boys arms with a bit of water. After I was done my order and went and sat down the ladies came by and showed that they themselves put some temporary tattoos on and then gave both my boys little noise makers out of size small cups and coffee beans. They must have took a cup, put a bit of beans in each and sealed the lid. They made one for each of the boys and put stickers on top. My boys got to play with these and they were having a ball. Not only that but few customers around us noticed this happen and started conversations with my boys about the shakers. All complimented how nice the Starbucks barristas were. Will always go back here.“

“I hardly ever go to Starbucks these days, preferring independent cafes, but I had a very pleasant experience at this location. The staff was so friendly, cheerful and upbeat - the few moments I spent there really made me happier! It was visible that people who worked there really enjoyed their jobs and there was such a good atmosphere and positive vibe. I have to admit that seeing the price of my drink: over $7 for a venti size flavoured latte was rather shocking. oh well. I only wish that baristas made more than slightly above minimum wage - they definitely deserve it!the place is spacious and bright.the other thing - but that applies to all Starbucks locations in Toronto - I really wish they would bring back those thermos carafes with milk and cream and sugar that used to be available for customers before the pandemic. I guess the company saves a lot of money and it is less hassle and work, but for such a big and prosperous company as Starbucks it looks like a sign of cheapness. Even small independent cafes provide such convenience for customers - so why the market leader doesn't?“

“Edited: I was served by Autumn yesterday and they were amazing! They recommended a drink they like themselves, an espresso Americano made with oat milk, 3 pumps of brown sugar syrup sprinkled with cinnamon...amazing!!! It was delicious and so was their customer service! They were friendly and personable as was Maria who made my coffee. She was super friendly as always and she's a fantastic barrista who is quick and efficient. Great job once again to both! This is my favorite Starbucks location in Toronto and all because of the customer service. Leila and Jin are amazing barristas and have incredible customer service skills. Leila always has a smile on her face and always asks how I am, and she makes a point of remembering the names of the regulars. Jin always smiles also and always asks how my day is going. These two ladies are fantastic at their job, and they make my daily visit to Starbucks a pleasure. The rest of the staff are great, also, I cannot fault this place for service and coffee! “Spacious, very friendly staff, aside from no one mentioning or asking about the Rewards app. Coffee not that strong, even with extra shot lattes. Allowed re-use cups which is always good as some places bizarrely don’t. Prices a bit on the high side for a simple latte. The cookies are always soft and "flexible", probably due to vegetable oils used in the manufacturing process. The good thing about Starbucks is that they allow you to bring external food in and eat it with your hot, or cold, beverage so long as you're not ripping the ass out of it and there's free wifi. Good for all the usual basic meeting with friends and socialising over a drink.“

“My secret fave of all the many Starbucks in this fair city. Why? It's in a bright, high-ceilinged lobby. The hours are business-week, open til 6 on weekdays and not at all on the weekends, which gives the baristas a regular life (I would guess). It's technically part of St Michael's Hospital, which offers free Wi-Fi. And the clientele ranges from surgeons in scrubs and EMTS on break, to interns on best behaviour at interviews, to patients stuck all over with ports and IVs passing time between medical tests. The coffee and the snacks are exactly the same as any S'bux anywhere. But the chill, airy ambience of this particular cafe made this longtime hospital patient feel very much at home. Fully wheelchair accessible.“

“Staff:I've generally had good experiences with the staff, however there is one team member who consistently comes off as rude. When it is less busy, I do love talking with the staff to learn more about the different coffee profiles. Many of the baristas are very knowledgeable on this front.Service:Speed of service is highly dependent on how busy the store is. There seems to be a lot of high schoolers that frequent this location as well, so as long as you are placing your order not at a peak time, turnaround speed is spot on.Product:We notice that our iced drinks are often not mixed, or at least not mixed well. Its annoying, but we can usually get a stirring stick to mix it ourselves. Unless the barista mentioned above is making drinks, then she claims she "doesn't know what a stirring stick is" or "we discontinued those", even though I can see them from my side of the counter.“
