“It's that perfect "hole in the wall" tiny restaurant with great food and service. Plus it's unusual food, as it's from a Chinese province not usually represented in restaurants. There's more to China than just Canton and Szechuan!“
“I rarely give really positive reviews but this is an exception. This is an excellent restaurant without qualification. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The service was polite, friendly and fast. The decor is attractive, intelligent and works. This is a place I intend to return to.“
“First time eating here and I have to say it is the best Chinese food in the region. Very fresh tasting unlike most restaurants of the type. The place is kept very clean and our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Not many tables for dine in but cozy. Noticed a very steady stream of take out orders while there. Again, great food.“
“Soup base is pretty good. Tried the half & half (tomato & spicy beef tallow). They had a good selection of skewers and other hotpot ingredients. I really liked their brown sugar jelly for dessert. Prices were a bit expensive as you also have to pay for soup base. The service was okay and restaurant was decorated nicely.“
“The owner is amazing and very kind, the food here is delicious. I recommend coming here whenever you are in the area. The service overall is amazing and I really enjoyed my time thereKid-friendliness: It’s a great atmosphere for kids to be in and many people who go here are teenagers.“
“I called and ordered on a Saturday for a tray of the lamb curry along with a few other delicious items. Karahi chicken, lamb biriyani and butter chicken and of course the delicious garlic Naan. The food was so delicious and all of my guests really enjoyed! Really love your food, keep it up ❤Dietary restrictions: I really appreciated that no peanut oil was used so that my family who is allergic can enjoy safely!“
“Good food for a good price! Ordered a noodle dish, braised pork, and eggplant dish - all were very great but my favourite was the noodle dish. You order through a QR code menu and this place is awesome for any introverts as the service is quite hands off.“
“I live in the neighborhood, and this is my new go-to for when we need a quick takeout meal. They have a huge vegetarian menu--we typically avoid Chinese takeout since it's not super vegetarian friendly, so really glad we found this place. We loved the vegetarian lo-mein and the general tso "chicken." Portion size is also huge; 2-3 dishes could easily feed a family of four.“
“Not bad hotpot spot. They have a good variety of ingredients to choose from and you get to choose two different soup bases. I spent a bit less than $50 with 5% cash discount. Service was a bit slow but restaurant was pretty clean and spacious.“
“Great meal. Plenty of broth, meat, and noodles. Unfortunately, they no longer serve noodles with radish, and they switched to plastic spoons that fall into the broth easily. However, still a great meal, and portion sizes have not decreased.“
“I had the Braised Pork Intestine & Red Konjac in Spicy Rice Noodle Soup which was around 16$ and had 5 different types of items with was a surprise, but the best part of it was that it wasn’t just a few pieces of the 5 items, there was over 15 pieces of pork intestines and red konjac each. There was a lot of noodles, and the flavours was great too, would definitely come again.“
“Good food, nice atmosphere. Loved the dining area, power outlets to charge as I eat, and easy to read menus. Price is good for the portion sizes and the restaurant's location. It is also transit accessible and within walking distance of ION's University of Waterloo streetcar station. There is a bus station at the University's Transit Center, also within walking distance.Bathrooms were good and seem to be maintained decently.Vegetarian options: Options available if you do not eat meat.Parking: Parking lot available only to patrons who wish to eat within the Waterloo University's plaza. If you intend to go elsewhere around campus or stores not in the plaza, you may risk getting towed.“
“A hidden gem with five stars for food and service, but could really use some TLC for the interior environment. All of the food was fresh, delicious, and served hot cooked properly. These guys have a huge menu and one of the biggest I've seen. All day dim sum service was nice to find and everything we had was delicious. The sweet sesame balls were a favorite. Prices were really good as well. The service was attentive and helpful. The girl was running around taking care of the entire front of the house which was impressive in itself, but she was so nice and did it so well. Lots of people were getting takeout too. The location is great being downtown but parking is just a short walk and sometimes free. The tables and washrooms were clean but again it really needed some repairs and updating. Probably not a first date location but definitely somewhere you would want to come on a regular basis later. We'll definitely be back!“
“First, I want to say the customer service and hospitality is amazing. For my first time I had a great experience. the broth was amazing, and the way you grab your wide selection of fresh ingredients was a treat. They made fried rice and fries on the side and offered drinks when asked immediately.I see some reviews claiming they weren't taken care of but That is not true. they are watching to make sure you are happy, but they let you do your thing and don't get in your way.The option to split from vegetarian and not was great as well. I give them thanks and I will be back“
“The food here was super fresh and tasty & very affordable. Daily specials offered for $5. We enjoyed the congee, wonton soup and crystal shrimp with sago and mango dessert and sweet tofu dessert. It was delicious. I grew up knowing home bone broth flavours and home made textures. This place has that.“
“I’ve walked past this place hundreds of times and have been meaning to try it for a while. Last week I finally did and it made me wish I had tried it years ago. It’s excellent value for your money. Tn the prices are very cheap and the food is pretty good. I tried the steamed pork buns and they were great and were made very quickly. I’ll be back here for sure.“
