“The food was amazing. Yes the price is a little higher than other places but the quality is the best. I have yet to find a sushi restaurant that serves it as good as here and it's not even close. The service was top notch as well. I will be coming back here and recommending it to others as well. A++“
“Amazing restaurant ! The food is delicious and the pricing is super affordable with generous portions. All the staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. There is so much variety in food and drinks, I left extremely satisfied. The restaurant was incredibly clean and lively as well. 10/10 recommend!“
“Fantastic place for sushi. Many unique rolls more than we could choose so we will be back. Exceptionally friendly service. Very clean and well thought out atmosphere. Third sushi place I've been to on this side of town and this is the only one I'll keep coming back to.“
“I love this place. I kept telling myself for years to go there every time I was at Uwajimaya, and never got around to it. Now I'm kicking myself for having not gone sooner. The service is awesome, the ramen is delicious and I can get in and out on time for my hour long lunch and have time to spare.Parking: Shares the parking lot with Uwajimaya.Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats and high chairs!Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp outside and they have tall and shorter tables for a variety of seating.“
“Syun Izakaya had been our go to for years, but the quality of the sushi has been inconsistent as of late. This was our first time here, per a friend's recommendation, and the quality of the sashimi and specialty rolls exceeded our expectations.“
“Customer service was great! It was my first time there and the two gentlemen were so nice and explain the menu really well I ended up choosing the build your own poke bowl tempura shrimp as appetizer and the fan favorite dark horse.. everything was delicious ? I’ll definitely drive back from WA to this location to dine in with my daughter“
“Inviting ambiance. Polite servers. Amazing food. Easy parking lot parking. I stopped by at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and it was surprisingly busy. I was quickly seated and ordered the Sake Aisuru Don and edamame. The Sake Aisuru Don (salmon sashimi, salmon belly, and minced salmon over rice) was extremely fresh. The meats were so refreshing and filling. The soft and silky salmon meats made my tastebuds sing. The edamame was portioned well and the light salt was nice. I'm pleased to have had an experience that makes me want to return!“
“The owners are very hospitable and kind. The food always tastes fresh and delicious. The serving amount is insane, two young kids can share a plate of chicken teriyaki.I went tonight with my two kids and parents, sat in front of the TV on the wall. As we are sitting down, the owner comes by and without a word, puts on cartoons for the kids to watch while we wait on the food (which came fairly quickly). The service was top notch, especially when the owner knew we were about finished and he dropped off to go containers and lollipops for the kids. It was a hit. Also, after leaving, more people flooded the restaurant. It was near capacity. This place does not disappoint.“
“I find the food and service here pretty good. They are very quick to take your order and fairly quick to get you your food. It's clean. It's a little more expensive than other sushi locations but it's reasonable for the food quality. I would recommend this place if you enjoy sushi.“
“I’ve eaten here, more than I can count on a single hand because it is that good! Ordered take out, when typically I eat in. Ordered the Japchae, Cheese Tteokbokki and the Chicken Teriyaki. Can never go wrong with any of these three! Food is made at a great speed and the flavors are always the same, each and every time I come around. Don’t go without ordering their Japchae, I can’t go without it!“
“Amazing sushi ?. Very fresh fish, and everything we had was tasty. The Albacore Tuna tar tar was fantastic. Reminded us of Albacore Poke. Very fresh, perfectly seasoned, the soy sauce put it over the top. Will definitely get again next time. The Volcano was amazing. Don't remember all that was in it- but the heat level was just Sriracha mayo level. So good.I loved the Philly - a basic tuna roll with cream cheese. The mango tango was good- but compared to the others, it was probably our least favorite. Still good and no complaints - the Volcano was just over the top. Can't wait to go back and try some more! Great place in Hillsboro!“
“We noticed this place on a random trip to the post office. It has a chill vibe with the graphics, open concept and music they play.We ordered veggie tempura and a salad to start. I ordered the Komo lemonade and added sake to booze it up!Rolls were spicy jalapeño roll, crunchy roll and the Hawaiian! All were delicious. We would return here!Vegetarian options: No specific vegetarian section but many options.“
“I don’t remember what these orange wontons were but I remember they were really good! I didn’t get a picture of the sushi; must have been too excited ?The ramen and sushi were good as well.Went at lunch time and had decently quick service.“
“My adult daughter wanted to go here for her birthday. I had heard lots of good things, and now I know why. The treats were good without being too sweet, service was great. Not too busy at 8am on a Tuesday morning. Lots of variety to choose from. Thanks for making my daughter's bday happy!Wheelchair accessibility: Parking avail directly in front, sloped curb to get up on sidewalk, floors are easy to roll on & plenty of room. Thanks!“
“The GOAT of traditional family style Japanese dinner and lunch in Portland metro. Best chicken katsu curry, best chicken karaage, best best best. It's been around for decades and is authentic and amazing. Less of a Ramen restaurant and more everything else. If I found this in Japan I would consider it as good or better than other Japanese restaurants I've been to locally there.“
“I have been going to sambi sushi since 2014 and let me be the first to tel you that The food is absolutely amazing every time. But what’s even better than the food is the amazing friendly staff that makes you feel at home. Their hospitality is out of this world. Best sushi I’ve ever had and they big tempura shrimp and veggie plate is to die for . Definitely recommend if your in the mood for some real sushi.“
“Awesome food. I got a plate with rice, gyoza, karaage, and extra miso soup and it fed three people for abt 21$. It was delicious and still crispy and hot after driving home to eat it because it was too hot and busy at the carts. The cook and cashier was one person and she was very nice and welcoming. The food was also ready insanely fast.“
“We stopped here on a whim and found the best Terriyaki place in Hillsboro. The food was wonderful! The serving size was great … especially for the price! The service was fantastic … the gentleman at the counter was extremely nice! He got water for us even though we could have gotten it ourselves. We ordered vegetable tofu Terriyaki, chicken Terriyaki with gyoza and kung pao chicken. Every dish was hot, fresh and delish!“
“Just finished ished another meal here and it was great again. Food, service, and atmosphere is wonderful. Music playing in the background isn't too loud. Fish is really fresh and rice to fish ratio is on point. Love the staff, they are really attentive.“
“The food was really good! The service was also good everything was good. (By the ten year old). The adults enjoyed the sake and everyone enjoyed the ramen.Vegetarian options: Tofu appetizer, kimchi and cheese roll appetizer, salad appetizer, and vegetarian ramen.“
“Tucked into the food cartel in Beaverton, this spot stood out from the SMELL. I had the Garlic Chicken, a special of the day, and my mouth was watering even before I took a bite. The dish was well made, full of garlicky, sweet, and salty flavors. I'm giving it 4 stars because I thought it was a tad bit too salty, to a point that it was almost bitter. Another qualm is that I wish there were combination plates available :( but I do understand why they don't allow combination plates.“
“Great food, great prices, large portion sizes, and best of all the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I've been eating here going on 7 years, I always get the chicken and pork teriyaki and it's amazing everytime!“
“Pretty quality sushi place. I'm not into sushi personally, but they have other options for Japanese dishes that are well prepared and made. Their miso soup is especially tasty. My friend really likes seafood and he said that this place is delicious, he even ordered seconds. Also, the establishment is clean and service is really efficient, fast, and nice. Definitely a good place in the area if you're into this type of cuisine.“
“so happy they opened in my area this is definitely one of my new favorite spots. everything i've tried has been really tasty, they give good portions at a good price too. all the staff has been so friendly really a great spot to stop by when you get the chance.“
“The service here is always great. I try something new every time I visit. I have never been disappointed.Parking: The entrance is just a short walk from the parking garage exit door. You literally walk out of the first floor parking door and the restaurant is immediately in view. There's a cover from the garage to the entry, so if it's raining, you don't have to walk in the rain.“
“We visit this place whenever we come to Portland. They make the crepes right in front of you with fresh ingredients which makes this place a must try. They take their time to prepare as it is freshly made. But well worth the wait. The only challenge is, if you prefer to sit and eat, there are not much seating around here as it is in a mall. We usually get their cone style crepe which makes it easy for us to carry around the mall.“
“Great food for a strip mall teriyaki joint. I had the house special with hot beef and veggies. It was great. Came with shrimp tempura which were better than I expected, fairly light and delicate on the breading, along with gyoza and egg roll. A lighter light on the veggies, but they were cooked right, with a slight amount of crunch. If you're out and about and need a cheap lunch that's tasty and your stomach won't hate you for afterward, this is a great option.“
“NOTE: portion sizes are larger than my photo suggests. I forgot to take a picture until I ate half. ?This place is a gem. Tastes great, solid portion sizes, and very consistent over the six years I've been coming here. I usually get the spicy chicken; it has just enough chili pepper to balance out the teriyaki sweetness nicely, but won't melt your face (add Sriracha as needed). I've also tried the chicken katsu, chicken yakisoba, and chicken teriyaki; all are delicious!Standard counter service; friendly but don't expect to be supremely catered to.Parking: There are four spots in front of the restaurant, and about a dozen more in the lot behind (shared with neighboring businesses). It can be a little challenging to find parking during the lunch rush, but it's never stopped me from going here.“
“Very big quantities of food! Delicious healthy food. It'll be healthier if you go easy on the teriyaki sauce and the gyoza sauce! Sriracha barely has any sugar, so it's fine to have at it. Teriyaki and Sriracha go well together, including when mixed with rice. Again, very generous portions of food! Free miso soup for customers! Also, free hot tea! Refills for miso soup are free, too! One day, this restaurant should serve ramen soup as it currently serves chicken udon soup, which I recommend! Chicken curry is very healthy and delicious, it has boiled carrots, potatoes and broccoli. I love this restaurant. It makes healthy food appetizing. Good. ?Vegetarian options: Tofu as a meat substitute. Instead of Beef or Chicken Teriyaki, you can ask for Tofu Teriyaki instead. Ask what other menu items can be substituted with tofu.Dietary restrictions: The entire menu is virtually dairy free.“
“Very good food. Lots of flavors. Portion were descend size. The only complaint I would have and that have also everywhere I eat is the price$$$. I felt I can't afford to eat there as much as I would like because I can't afford to the lunch prices.“
“I Messed up my order and they let me change it 5 min later no charge. Best place around. Plus the food is also best place around ?? seriously 100/100 will eat here as long as they are openSeems under new management for a bit now post COVID and they rock ?“
“We took our order to go, but the atmosphere was pleasant while we waited. The service and folks working was just fantastic. Really good kind people. The food was good, don’t get me wrong. It’s just not so good that I’ll go out of my way to get it again.“
“We've had Mikasa delivery a few times and finally got to go in person. It's a nice, small, restaurant with a few tables along 1 wall. The waitresses were friendly and helpful with our questions before ordering. We got the gyoza, edamame, miso ramen, laksa ramen (made gluten free), cali & avocado rolls, and a poke bowl. Everyone was very happy with their order and gobbled it. The laksa was nicely spicy and the soft boiled egg in the ramen was so good. We'll definitely be back!Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options and they were really accommodating about food allergies so would probably also accommodate vegetarian requestsDietary restrictions: Server double checked with the kitchen for our dietary restrictions without us asking her to.Parking: Street parking on the side streetsKid-friendliness: Gyoza, edamame, and other kid friendly options. Our girls loved what they got.“
“Great little “hole in the wall” authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. The food was legit! But this is definitely not the place to go if you are in any kind of a hurry as the service is pretty slow. However, I believe that has more to do with the freshness and quality of the food they serve rather than the employees themselves, so it’s a fair trade off if you’re looking for something other than your average run of the mill sushi-go-round that you can find anywhere.Oddly enough, they take your order table side, but then immediately ask you to pay for your meal upfront before they will put your order in with the kitchen. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a bit odd.But the food here is top notch, with generous portion sizes too. I wouldn’t make a special trip, but it’s definitely worth stopping in for a visit if you are in the area.“
“I'm pleased to review Ichi Teriyaki 25, for wonderful warm and friendly service over the phone and in-person, to the very fast cooking and service, to the flavors and proper cooking of our dinner. Thank you so much <3Vegetarian options: VEGETABLE DELUXE IS AMAZING AND I LOVED IT EVEN MORE THAN MY CHICKEN KATSU!“
“We ordered sushi burritos from this food cart, which had recently increased their prices by $5. We were hesitant to order at first, but we caved because we were craving them and one of us had never tried them before. The service was great! They were out of chicken, but they offered to make us a custom burrito for a small upcharge. However, they later found that they had enough chicken after all, so we didn't have to pay extra. The wrap itself didn't hold up very well. It came apart a few times, which made eating the burrito a bit messy. The seaweed didn't wrap around the sushi fully, which also contributed to the messiness. The parchment paper was also a bit weak, which made it difficult to hold the burrito together.Overall, the food was delicious and filling. However, we don't think it's worth the new price of $15 for a food cart item. We would be more likely to order it again if it was priced at $12. The price increase from $10 to $15 is a bit steep, and we think it's not quite worth the extra money for a food cart item.“
“This is one of my favorite sushi spots for lunch. I have never had anything bad here. For the price it is hard to beat. Your food can be slow to arrive depending on the crowd but it seems worth it based on quality compared to conveyor bars.“
“This is a small place tucked away in the Safeway shopping area, just past Dollar Tree. The sushi is fresh all fresh, and their bentos are perfect! Every single menu item we've had here has been mouth watering good! The service is always there when you need them, but they are so great you barely notice them until you need them. It's an intimate setting with each seating area being separated and almost secluded. The artwork is beautiful, and there's a calming atmosphere that just relaxes you while you eat.My husband and I HIGHLY recommend trying this place next time you want good sushi, or a lovely and filling dinner.Parking: Parking is pretty easy. There are plenty of spaces all around the lot, and quite a lot very close as this place is near the end, away from the bigger shops.“
“Friendly owners/operators. Had a issue thinking the food was off actually twice like bad smell. They made me something else which was kind. I shortly after determined it wasn't the food that was smelling bad but actually if was smell coming from the chopsticks I was using!!! So peeps sensitive to smell that like using chopsticks be aware perhaps go for the fork included in the bag instead. The husband in the kitchen is a talented photographer and has nice giant pictures of his on the wall in the dining area. I'll continue to be a returning customer. Was really worried for a second :-) Thanks.“
“We did takeout so can't speak to dine in experience. Looked like limited seating though there were a lot of plants. Food portions are extremely generous and teriyaki chicken and rice was excellent, not too sauced, salty or sweet. Will try other things next time. Google posts that they close at 8pm, though sign on door says 7pm. Don't play yourself and come late.“
“The food here is delicious! They give great sized portions and the food is reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. The only negative is that the floor is a tile floor and the grout is really dirty. But the tables chairs and all the condiment containers have been wiped down thoroughly and are clean.“
“A small quaint place with a pretty huge variety of saki. Service was very good and so is the food. The bento box was big with a good variety of coke and hot dishes, and it came with a nicely dressed salad and miso soup. The sashimi pieces were a bit on the smallish side but everything else was great.“
“You can taste the quality, they say its all made from scratch but its different than acrually trying it and trust me, absolutely 10/10 high quality food. The food is always served HOT which is also an added bonus, easily my favorite teriyaki in the greater metro area and I'm not even from Tualatin.“
“Took my daughter there because she was craving katsu. She got the pork katsu and loved it! I got a sushi plate it was soo fresh and pretty delicious. They are traditional as in they use wasabi on the sushi. I like it that way but if you don’t make sure to request without it!“
“STANDARD SUSHINothing too fantastic about this spot, but worth giving a 5 star review. They get their fish from the same sushi supplier *most of the sushi bars get their fish from. If you want fish flown in from Japan overnight, you will need to check out the place in Sellwood or downtown Portland that ARE something special. But I digress…This place’s prices used to be high, but now they are just average and reasonable with the rest of the local spots increasing their prices dramatically over the last 3 years. I love their take on age dashi tofu and their real crab sunomono salad is the best in town. Their sushi is serviceable and I will get the creamy scallop roll or other creation on occasion.“
“I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate and its a large food portion which is awesome i wasn’t expecting to be that much! i couldn’t finish it so saved the rest for another meal. for the price i say it’s a win! plus complimentary soup? ofcourse yes! i’ll def come back and its nearby from my apt!“
“These meals are huge. They're kinda run-of-the-mill teriyaki, though. There is little difference between this and other teriyaki places. I would have preferred a smaller, more exquisite bento or at least a warning that the meal is huge and should be shared. The staff is lovely, the dining area is neat as a pin.“
“Down below is the beef Teriyaki, tasted better then it looks, portions on the small side for the price, salad was a joke. The other dish was the Teriyaki bowl, that was pretty decent on price and tasted pretty good. Had plenty of sauce already on the chicken, was tender too.“
“I have been a loyal customer in this place forever since the pandemic. Staffs always so friendly and nice. Five stars for very clean spot. Food is always fresh and delicious. If you are looking for a late night dine-in, this place is a must!“
“We used to frequent this restaurant many years ago. After a long absence, we came back and found that the restaurant is now mainly Thai food. We had the Red Curry and Drunken Noodles. Both were generous portions, and the prices were very reasonable.? I would like to try other dishes again.?“
