“Inviting ambiance. Polite servers. Amazing food. Easy parking lot parking. I stopped by at 4pm on a Sunday afternoon and it was surprisingly busy. I was quickly seated and ordered the Sake Aisuru Don and edamame. The Sake Aisuru Don (salmon sashimi, salmon belly, and minced salmon over rice) was extremely fresh. The meats were so refreshing and filling. The soft and silky salmon meats made my tastebuds sing. The edamame was portioned well and the light salt was nice. I'm pleased to have had an experience that makes me want to return!“

The serving amount is insane, two young kids can share a plate of chicken teriyaki.I went tonight with my two kids and parents, sat in front of the TV on the wall. As we are sitting down, the owner comes by and without a word, puts on cartoons for the kids to watch while we wait on the food (which came fairly quickly). The service was top notch, especially when the owner knew we were about finished and he dropped off to go containers and lollipops for the kids. It was a hit. Also, after leaving, more people flooded the restaurant. It was near capacity. This place does not disappoint.“

It's been around for decades and is authentic and amazing. Less of a Ramen restaurant and more everything else. Another qualm is that I wish there were combination plates available :( but I do understand why they don't allow combination plates.“

Came with shrimp tempura which were better than I expected, fairly light and delicate on the breading, along with gyoza and egg roll. A lighter light on the veggies, but they were cooked right, with a slight amount of crunch. If you're out and about and need a cheap lunch that's tasty and your stomach won't hate you for afterward, this is a great option.“

I've also tried the chicken katsu, chicken yakisoba, and chicken teriyaki; all are delicious!Standard counter service; friendly but don't expect to be supremely catered to.Parking: There are four spots in front of the restaurant, and about a dozen more in the lot behind (shared with neighboring businesses). Teriyaki and Sriracha go well together, including when mixed with rice. Again, very generous portions of food! Free miso soup for customers! Also, free hot tea! Refills for miso soup are free, too! One day, this restaurant should serve ramen soup as it currently serves chicken udon soup, which I recommend! Chicken curry is very healthy and delicious, it has boiled carrots, potatoes and broccoli. I love this restaurant. It makes healthy food appetizing. Good. ?Vegetarian options: Tofu as a meat substitute. Instead of Beef or Chicken Teriyaki, you can ask for Tofu Teriyaki instead. However, I believe that has more to do with the freshness and quality of the food they serve rather than the employees themselves, so it’s a fair trade off if you’re looking for something other than your average run of the mill sushi-go-round that you can find anywhere.Oddly enough, they take your order table side, but then immediately ask you to pay for your meal upfront before they will put your order in with the kitchen. “We ordered sushi burritos from this food cart, which had recently increased their prices by $5. We were hesitant to order at first, but we caved because we were craving them and one of us had never tried them before.The service was great! They were out of chicken, but they offered to make us a custom burrito for a small upcharge. However, they later found that they had enough chicken after all, so we didn't have to pay extra.The wrap itself didn't hold up very well. It came apart a few times, which made eating the burrito a bit messy. The seaweed didn't wrap around the sushi fully, which also contributed to the messiness. The parchment paper was also a bit weak, which made it difficult to hold the burrito together.Overall, the food was delicious and filling. However, we don't think it's worth the new price of $15 for a food cart item. We would be more likely to order it again if it was priced at $12. The price increase from $10 to $15 is a bit steep, and we think it's not quite worth the extra money for a food cart item.“

Every single menu item we've had here has been mouth watering good! The service is always there when you need them, but they are so great you barely notice them until you need them. The artwork is beautiful, and there's a calming atmosphere that just relaxes you while you eat.My husband and I HIGHLY recommend trying this place next time you want good sushi, or a lovely and filling dinner.Parking: Parking is pretty easy. Food portions are extremely generous and teriyaki chicken and rice was excellent, not too sauced, salty or sweet. Will try other things next time. The only negative is that the floor is a tile floor and the grout is really dirty. But the tables chairs and all the condiment containers have been wiped down thoroughly and are clean.“

If you want fish flown in from Japan overnight, you will need to check out the place in Sellwood or downtown Portland that ARE something special.But I digress…This place’s prices used to be high, but now they are just average and reasonable with the rest of the local spots increasing their prices dramatically over the last 3 years. I love their take on age dashi tofu and their real crab sunomono salad is the best in town. Their sushi is serviceable and I will get the creamy scallop roll or other creation on occasion.“
