I have been going to the Hall location for over 10 years. This location is a lot larger. More seats but fewer places to plug in electronics. There were a lot of 2-person groups at 4 seat tables, but there was still enough seating for everyone. I would like to come back during the summer when the big glass doors are open.I started with a blueberry muffin for international muffin day. I never eat muffins, but this one was great. I was thinking about a sandwich but I couldn't justify it for the price. Halfway through my visit, I ordered a small brewed coffee. It was good.Staff was friendly and helpful. There was never really a line, so ordering was convenient. The staff made sure everyone was comfortable, even when special accommodations were asked. The wifi is great, and you don't need a password.Bathrooms are locked by code, so get it before the coffee starts working its magic. They were a little stinky and dirt for how nice the establishment was.Tons of parking and great accessability.

Randomly cancelled my UberEars order, zero explanation. I usually order from the SW Hall location and they have the best service. UberEats listed the Barrows location on top because it was 5 minutes faster than the SW Hall one. I placed my order and eventually got a message from UberEats that the store “had” to cancel my order with no explanation as to why.

Staff is so rude. Asked for a recommendation for a friend and they laughed at me. Not welcoming at all and will not return and my friend? Coffee drink was mediocre and will not ever come here because of my experience. News travels…

Appalling. My sister ordered an americano (espresso and water) and ended up adding the wrong sugar to it. She had finished spending $25 and added a tip for the barista. But she couldn't drink the americano so she asked for a new one. The girl very rudely said "I can't do that, sorry. Because I didn't make the mistake." That is absurd. Even if she hadn't spent the money it costs nothing to a business to remake a plain americano - and to say it so rudely. If you would refuse to remake a drink because that damages your business - then I am confident you won't mind me refusing to spend any money there at all.

My sister and I were very disappointed!First, we were not welcomed in and/or even greeted. 2nd, we walked up to the counter and pretty ignored. The girl behind the counter just looked at us. When she finally helped us, we ordered carrot cake to have with our coffee (it wasn't even hot). The cake was stale!?The other employee who was working in the back came out and was even less friendly! As I was bussing our own cup/plate, the 2nd employee walked right past me without acknowledging and/or thanking me for coming in. I'm HUGE on customer service, and the ball was dropped BIG time yesterday!!!!

I love this place. The atmosphere is wonderful and great for everyone. They don’t make too many cafes like this one and the fact that it’s always open is so convenient. Whether you need to study, work or hang I think this place is awesome. I’ve never ate here, but the drinks are good and the lake view is picture perfect.

Like all the Avas, this place is gorgeous inside and out. Their Progress Ridge Ava is perched right at the edge of the big pond and water feature at this awesome outdoor mall, so parents can easily sip a coffee and have a sandwich while the kids play in the water.I would give this place 5 stars, because it is so dang pretty and conveniently located...but the food sucks! The coffee (and all the drinks I've had here) are decent. But all the food seems to have come from some mass-produced impersonal mega-bakery like Costco or something. It is lacking in flavor, the bread for the sandwiches is dry and tasteless, and pretty much all the bakery options are super sugary and decadent (like characterless tiramisu or cannolis) - no bran muffin or tasty scones here folks. This business is clearly doing extremely well to be able to afford the locations and the decor that they feature at their shops; why, oh why, Ava, don't you get real quality pastries and bread from one of the myriad wonderful local bakeries we have in sw Portland/Beaverton/Tigard?!? If you did you would be getting 5 star reviews and have so much more business! It just grates on me every time I find myself at an Ava Roasteria, which is more often than I would like because quite often they are the only coffee option in the area I need to be (ie Progress Ridge or the Kruse Village store in Lake Oswego).Parking: It's a big outdoor mall with tons of parking, though it can get crowded since there is a movie theatre here.Kid-friendliness: Water feature and pond right next to the Cafe! Though in the winter the kid-friendliness is just average.

Just moved to the area and have been coming here a lot in the past few weeks. The coffee is always great and so's the food. Definitely a regular spot for me.
On several occasions now, the latte I ordered was less than 3/4th full and cold. This is frustrating because customers trust that one will have a quality experience-on many occasions you all have failed that trust. I will never return to Ava and I strongly encourage others to do the same. Absolutely terrible.

I placed an order for delivery at 6:30 am and it took over 2 hours to arrive, not Ava’s problem but the delivery service. Once the order arrived, I found that my drinks that I had ordered hot were made iced and because it took so long, the ice had melted leaving the drinks watered down. My coffee did not taste like it has in the past, something was definitely off. We also ordered pastries which were nothing to rave about and as far as I’m concerned are not as advertised. The cannoli is not a cannoli but more of a cream horn. It seems all of their pastries are made with the same flaky dough and because of that, they all taste the same. The peaches and cream danish had excellent flavor. I will definitely try going to the shop and dining in as opposed to ordering delivery.

I already cleaned my table (i could not so did not get a pic of the dried chocolate milk or mocha that was the gross scene I sat down too, but when I asked one of the employees for a paper towel and cleaning solution (thinking he would say “oh no I’ll take care of that”) instead he said “there is cleaning solution and paper towels by the bus your own table bin; we’ve had people cleaning their own tables since the pandemic.” I’ve been supportive of all the pandemic protocol throughout it all, but the government has ended all of the measures that were instituted. It’s time for cafes, and restaurants to start cleaning tables because obviously customers are not - it’s gross to sit down to a dirty table. It makes me never want to eat or drink here ever again. This is how you lose customers—especially in the suburbs!

Why is their WiFi so flaky? Sometimes it is very good and then 10 minutes later it is inaccessible. Please fix this! Thanks, David
