“I love pips! Their donuts are always hot and fresh and worth the short wait.Parking: Came on a Friday morning at 10 and had no issues parking but I could see when more business are open parking could get difficultKid-friendliness: Kids love donuts!Wheelchair accessibility: Curbs and lots of open spaces“
“Happen to discover this place picking up an order for door dash. So I decided to give it a shot when I was off work. The donuts were all yummy. Got a big variety to sample, and then the baker in the back gave me a glazed donut. My lord, dare I say I loved it better than Krispy Kreme. It was delicious. Also, try the pistachio one. Loved that one. Definitely give this place a go.“
“The potato and ramen corn dogs were very good and so was the sweet and spicy sauce. The donuts were pretty good, but at 10 for 3 of them they were a bit expensive. I didn’t enjoy the mango lemonade. I had to repeat my order a few times. The sign is a small banner on the window so it’s easy to miss. It was a weird atmosphere inside.“
“The doughnuts were good, the filling was all in one place though, and it felt like it could use a better spread through the inside of the doughnuts, I think my expectation might have been a little high. The apple pie doughnut, though, was my personal favorite, and they do have cute kid friendly options.“
“Johnathan is such a homie. We were standing there indecisive because they ran out of Solar Eclipse donuts, and he didnt mind talking to us. I ordered a 3 pack with a glazed and he pulled one right off the rack, hot and ready. Give this boy a raise he knows how to make customers happy“
“Nice little family business despite the area only problem I had there was today someone came up and snagged my coffee this morning while I was paying for my stuff the owner handled it quite well said take it and go and quickly had a fresh cup for me.“
“My new favorite food spot! Great food and people. Every menu item I’ve tried so far has been amazing, can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! Highly recommend the whitefish sandwich and wash it down with an egg cream. Lovely spot for weekend brunch as well.“
““Don’t ever bring me one of those from that place again!” Those are the words my exercising, health conscious, non-sweets eating wife said to me after scarfing down a donut I brought her from Donut Palace. You know something tastes good when you feel guilty after eating it so fast, and boy did she look guilty, and then a little mad when those words came out of her mouth. LOL Meanwhile I was taking my time enjoying every bite of my Guava donut. Oh yes, you heard me right, GUAVA DONUT. The gentleman behind the counter, Mo, was so pleasant, I could have hung out all day talking with him. He explained to me that they only use real fruit purée for their fillings and frostings. I can definitely assure you that makes a big difference. There’s no artificial food coloring taste. COVID has been challenging for this business, as it’s been for many others in the food industry. They only make a limited amount of donuts each morning, and when they’re sold out, they close. It’s a necessary adjustment for challenging times. So if you want one of these delicious donuts, I suggest you get there before 10am or you might go home with a sad face and empty hands. The picture attached is from my second trip to Donut Palace. My wife didn’t get any! Please continue to support this family owned small business and others like it!“
“Ordered some donuts for “National Cereal Day” and when I picked them up, they looked so festive and cheery! The girl was just finishing packaging them up, as they had just been frosted and sprinkled! I brought them to work and they brightened everyone’s day! They were so yummy and a total hit!!???I’ll be back for sure!!“
“This place is for people who want to eat on the street or take the doughnuts home as seating is limited. But the ? are the best I've ever had and no other place is like this one. If you love doughnuts, you'll love this place. It's a must eat.“
“You've got to try their jalapeno cheese beef hot dogs. Those or something special right there and the donuts are awesome too and they wait. Staff is excellent. Those two guys did a great job for a couple of young fellas. I would give them a ? and they should get a “
“This is the best donut shop I’ve ever been to. It has a quaint atmosphere and it’s in a cute neighborhood, so it was fun to walk around with my donut. They have upscale donuts. I had two donuts, a lemon curd filled and a blueberry bourbon, which was the best donut I’ve ever had. I highly recommend.“
“We traveled from Oregon City to get these donuts and the donuts were as good or better than any donut I've ever had. We got a dozen donuts and they were as good on day one as they were on day four. The apple fritter was still fresh and crispy on day four. We did store the donuts in a bag to keep them fresh after day two. We will definitely will be coming back!Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible.“
“I absolutely love this place! The owners, who make the donuts and work the cash register, are so welcoming and get to know their regulars. The donuts are made fresh EVERY day, and they actually close early if they sell out (so you know they’re good!). Honestly the best donuts around and I am always craving them!“
“Service was quick. Came in close to closing, so donuts were understandably in shorter supply. But definitely appreciate that these guys are open later than most for those cravings! Overall, a cute shop close to the university with good hours and great donuts, both quality and variety!“
“$14 bucks for a 12 oz Snicker doodle latte, lemon filled, Bavarian cream, maple old fashion Pros: Overall the donuts were flavorful, fluffy, and delicious. The Bavarian cream had an even amount of filling and was delicious. The lemon filled was airy in flavor but lacked enough filling. Now the star of the show was the snicker doodle latte. It was just sweet enough to enjoy and was made with tender love lol!!! It was soooo good. Overall the donuts are really good. The place and the packaging was clean and cute. The box is a high quality box. Service was great no issues. Cons: The price point for the donuts are extremely high at roughly $3 a pop. There's nothing really special about the donuts to make them this high. It seems you are paying for the nice box and their location because I cant justify spending so much for 1 donut. The lemon donut had very little lemon filling. I took about 3 bites (half of the donut) and didnt have any filling. I took pics for you to see.“
“Best donut I’ve ever had: the Crème Brûlée donut is simply brilliant. Gorgeous texture and flavor, and the torched sugar coating is perfection. Looking forward to going back and trying more flavors! This place has wonderful, friendly service and a great vibe. And WOW that donut!:)“
“It will call you by name when it is done and even make coffee art. The pressure is off to leave a tip. The time between the shot of coffee and the steamed milk is about one minute. People will tell you that need to happen in less than 15 seconds, but honestly, I can't taste the “
“These donuts are worth your coin! Expensive, yes, but wildly delicious. The texture of these donuts are unlike most other donut shops. The perfect cakey fluff. Moist, not dry. The old fashioned donuts have a mouthwatering crisp. The flavors are fun and enticing! At this specific location the two ladies working were wonderful. My friend was visiting from out of town and when I asked them for activity recommendations they were instantly excited and started sharing all their favorite spots. There were no customers behind us so we chatted for a few minutes. Along with our box of donuts we were carrying 3 to-go boxes from another restaurant. The cashiers noticed and offered us bags to help condense and make things easier to manage. Amazing customer service and experience. So yes, $5 is on the higher side for a donut but you have to try it just once. The donuts are divine and the staff is friendly. Lots of residential and street parking too. If it's between Blue Star and Voodoo Donuts, I'm picking Blue Star every day.“
“Love this place! They always have a wide variety of cake donuts on hand, which are far superior to regular donuts (I will die on this hill). I only wish they were open on weekends since that's when I work downtown! I'd be there every Saturday and Sunday.“
“Sesame Donuts was founded in 1987 by an immigrant from Sierra Leone and is one of the Portland area’s oldest donut chains. They’ve been around longer than Blue Star, Coco, Pip’s, Doe and a most other local donut chains. Sesame has almost been around as long as Voodoo Donut. Currently they have 10 mostly suburban locations with a few in the city.Got two each of Oreo, M&M Yum, Sid’s Special, Lemoncello, Toasted Coconut and Portland Cream“
“This is my new favorite blue star location. The inside is so charming and the staff were so incredibly friendly! My wife and I came here on a morning date to get donuts and coffee and they were both delicious. Blue Star Donuts are the best donuts around, and for me personally, they have produced the best donuts I have ever had. This location is also next to some other fun shops, so it's perfect for meeting friends or dates! Highly recommend this location and giving BSD a try! You won't be disappointed!“
“This is our favorite place in Sherwood oregon ❤ We have been going here for years!! Yummy treat on Saturday morning or anytime ? Great customer service Manager and everyone is super friendly and kind. Thank you for all your hard work. We love our little town of Sherwood Oregon.??“
“Solid classic donuts. We tried Coco Donuts via "Too Good to Go" and it was a great value. I can't recall the exact amount, but I know it was more than a dozen for only $8! I brought them to a family gathering and every was impressed. I look forward to returning the next time we're in town.“
“Marsee baked goods are perfect! As someone whose family has food allergies, I appreciate that Marsee Baking does not routinely use many common allergens. Just simple, high quality ingredients, leading to absolutely delectable breads and pastries. 10/10 Highly recommend! I have purchased their products at assorted retailers. Please veryify ingredients on your own!“
“I lived near N Interstate & Lombard for awhile and used to walk to Lee's Laundrette once a week to do my laundry. I always went across the street to Heavenly Donuts while my clothes were in the washer. I recall that I would get 2 maple bars or chocolate bars and a coffee. They also have a large variety of donuts. It's small but pleasant and I have no complaints.“
“When you're craving an apple fritter this place is it! Crispy on the outside and not at all doughy. It's a classic donut shop fritter. The crème filled maple donut was sweet and delicious. A solid choice for classic donuts. Plentiful parking and service with a smile.“
“I frequent this place often and especially on Thursday mornings I go in to grab drinks for coworkers. No matter what the staff are always amazing it sometimes catches me off cause as I'm not use to that level of amazingness but every time I go they are always so sweet and I don't feel it's an act like when u go to other places like star bucks and such. The product is amazing as well I get a variety of drinks. Every location I have been to had also been really amazing ?Dietary restrictions: The oat milk I get for a coworker and they absolutely love it. This place is always a treat to the ppl I work with and they always look forward to Thursdays now thank you!“
“I am so very happy that Joe (Mr Kim) is back from his attempted retirement from Donuts Plus. The fellow who took over was a disaster but now the shop has returned to being the best and most friendly donut store I have encountered in my 74 years. Thank you, Joe!!!“
“The donuts were fresh and delicious, I love that it is not overly sweet. My favorite is the crumb donut. I had the chai tea which was okay, it didn’t have a lot of flavor but in general it wasn’t that bad. The ambience was nice and the location was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.“
“Owners an absolute gentlemen, donuts are excellent, love the apple fritters! Only one that’s a hit or miss is the cinnamon rolls. They use dense dough, and if it’s rolled too tight or too thick it doesn’t quite get cooked all the way and is like eating dough. I’d suggest to them to make them flatter, like the apple fritters, and those will be absolutely perfect everytime!“
“Best Donut in Portland, no contest. Voodoo donuts, yeah it's good. I love a good voodoo donut. But they are no match for Donut Day. Blue star donuts, yes, they are fantastic. I love blue star donuts especially their key lime donut it really makes my day. But I will take Donut day over blue star 7 out of 7 days of the week. It's worth noting: there's nothing fancy about Donut day. They are as classic as it gets. Small little building with standing room only and they serve only the classics. Fritters, old fashioned, maple bars, ect - you know the type. It's just a small mom and pop outfit. I love the owners though - they are such subtle characters. The old man always has a big smile on his face he's always so happy looking. And the mom is always there, a little stern but so polite and attentive. They are real people and I love it.“
