New ownership, poor Mexican food. We ordered asada tacos for 4.50 each with hand made tortillas. Got the cheapest fattiest meat with the stiffest hand made tortillas. We also ordered an asada guarache and we got a cabbage guarache. The place did get a nice upgrade but the food is 2/10. On top of that not once did our server check in on us or question if refills were needed. Waste of money honestly a little upset lol

I would not recommend this place and sadly especially if you are a Veteran. If I could give no stars, I would. The owner did not believe we are bilingual and can speak Spanish and began talking crap about us and my husband’s service dog. The dog wears a bright orange service vest so it’s obvious. No signs posted ANYWHERE as to we do not allow service animals. She sent someone else over to “take care of it”. I suspect that is why the place is empty on a Saturday. Kindness goes a long way in this world so pretty sad how people treat others.I will be sure and call the state ADA to file a complaint as this treatment is clearly against the law.

Quaint intimate seating. The service was good. The food was good. We enjoyed the churros we ordered for dessert.Kid-friendliness: Maria Bonita is a kid friendly restaurant with a kids menu. I don't think they have coloring pages or crayons.

This is either the best Mexican restaurant in the metro area, or the worst. I haven’t figured it out yet

After not being able to come here for a few years I am left with missing Maria Bonitas. Giving 5 stars for food is so hard I wish I could give 4.5 because this was my go to Mexican restaurant. Having tried Mexican food across many states, (and Mexico), this restaurant is one of the closest it comes. I've always had great and tentative service, given I haven't been there for a few years. I still recall the times I've had there and wish I had some place here that even resembled the price, food, and service I've experienced in my time in Beaverton. This place really is a gem if you aren't looking to break the bank.

This is a very festive Mexican restaurant. There are decorations everywhere you look with vibrant colors and happy themes. The wait staff is very attentive without being overly present. The food is authentic Mexican, spiced and presented with great care. The servings are huge, so you could easily feed two people off each plate, or have a second meal in a take home box. They have vegetarian options, salads, kids plates, and lots of side dishes along with the standard fare. Great place to eat.

This is my go-to Mexican restaurant in Beaverton. They have expanded their menu which I hugely appreciate. I have been here several times and the service is almost always perfect.
Love the place. Great food, big portions, welcoming feel, warm and colorful place, and great service. Definitely going again.

Quaint and comfortable restaurant. The tortilla chips are great and the enchiladas tasty, but I can't give them the highest marks. Overall, a pleasant experience. I'll probably be back to try some of their other offerings.

With so many really good Mexican restaurants in our area I never thought to try this place. Wow was I missing out. The food has so much flavor and a reasonable amount. I wish I would have tried this place sooner. My wife and I will be adding this to our list of places to frequent.

The usual vegetarian options. Beans are OK, but only refried available. Rice not, but substituted salad. Chile Relleno was OK, as were the vegetarian enchiladas. Server was friendly, helpful, but service was a bit slow as she appeared to be alone.
