Love this spot! Been coming here for years now. They have SUCH delicious Japanese pastries. Personal favorite is the curry donut! But everything, including the rotating seasonal pastries, is awesome.

My adult daughter wanted to go here for her birthday. I had heard lots of good things, and now I know why. The treats were good without being too sweet, service was great. Not too busy at 8am on a Tuesday morning. Lots of variety to choose from. Thanks for making my daughter's bday happy!Wheelchair accessibility: Parking avail directly in front, sloped curb to get up on sidewalk, floors are easy to roll on & plenty of room. Thanks!

The croissants are hard to beat - light, crisp, and buttery. I picked up the Plain, Prosciutto, and Frangipani. As well as a cranberry fritter and brie rolls. Everything was delicious, and the counter service was also excellent.

Oyatsupan makes Japanese style pastries (which themselves come mostly from French and Italian influences) that match or even exceed the quality of the most gourmet bakeries I've been to in Japan. There is no going wrong here, but the standout for me is the curry donut. The bread is mochi-mochi (soft/chewy) inside and kari-kari (crisp) on the outside with a wonderfully spiced Japanese curry filling. It all adds together for a perfectly delicious bite.
If you're craving fresh baked pastries in the morning, Oyatsupan is the place to go! Show up early to ensure you're able to grab what you want before it runs out. The bakery is fairly busy, so definitely leave enough time to get what you need. I had to wait in line for a few minutes to check out, which is understandable because it's a popular spot! They also have other options outside of just bread and pastries, including drinks. I definitely recommend their sandwiches and soup (both are great for hangovers to be honest!) The curry soup is delicious and hot when it comes out. Their prices are great, and you can totally get away with buying a good variety of options for under $20.

Went here on the recommendation of a friend. To be very honest, it was very average. Not too great not too bad. Tous Les Jours is much better than them. The mocha I got was quite bad, the pastries were okay.

I love Oyatsupan! Their best things are the Jalapeño cheese baguette and the egg salad sandwich!Recently I moved to the Bay Area. One could argue I find better bakeries with Paris Baguette but it’s just not true. Oyatsupan is way better and I miss it!

Wow, it’s like everyone rating this place 5 stars have never been in a bakery of any kind before. Or perhaps it is their first encounter with bakery self service like in a traditional Mexican bakery. To be clear the baked goods were extremely underwhelming. Pastries looked great (even if one kinda looks like it is filled with p**** but taste was nonexistent. (though in the Portland area appearance appears to be more important than taste so maybe it’s a cultural thing.). The 18% minimum suggested gratuity at checkout was a nice touch too. Do yourself a favor. Go to ANY mexican bakery anywhere on the globe. Those places may not be flashy but your pastries will be flavorful and you can have the same self service experience for a fraction of the cost. (I personally had the chocolate chip melon bun thing, it was nearly identical to Concha bread hence all the mexican bakery themed comparisons)
This place was great!
