I just went into Albees for the 1st time ever I've heard about it and have wanted to try ..all I can say is get the large gyro pita with everything it was absolutely amazing and I'm definitely coming back to this spot these guys know how to do it 5 Stars ??

So, this place looks pretty suspect from the outside, but it's actually very clean. The staff are always genuinely friendly, helpful, and sincere. Oh yeah, food is also incredible. Try the Empire State fries.

I LOVE ALL OF IT! The food is quality! They make their own tzatziki with Nancy yogurt. It's got that perfect tang to it that pairs well with the Gyro meats seasoning. The service is quite friendly and it's nice to see the regular folks working the counter. There isn't much room for a large group as there are 5 stools on a ledge inside and a couple tables fenced in out front. But it's quaint, cozy and definitely a Eugene staple.Parking: The store is located on the oneway street of w 11th. There is paid parking but only on the right side, the same side as the store. The store is located between a laundromat and mini-mart, all in the same structure. The parking is usually full due to this and if you park in one of the 3 spots at the mini-mart, the owner of the mini-mart WILL say something so just avoid that. This makes Albes hard to access during pique times so plan ahead. Or better yet, go to their other location on 18th to get your Gyro fix!
If you're not already going to this little hole in the wall then you are truly missing out! The food is GREAT. The flavors are so terrific and everything is fresh. My son is a true foodie and he was super impressed. (I will say I wasn't a fan of the flavor and texture of the falafel...but that's because I prefer a more Israeli/Palestinian falafel.) But you need to try their tzatziki!!! And if you like dolmas then definitely try them. Excellent flavor and texture and the grape leaves weren't tough at all. YUM!Overall definitely a place to add into your normal rotation!Vegetarian options: Falafel, Spanakopita, SaladsDietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan, dairy free
