A bit chilly in there but otherwise nice

Civic Winery could not have been a better partner in hosting my recent conference's Closing Party. Melanie at Civic was fantastic to work with, a great communicator, and she made sure the event was prepared flawlessly. Our attendees raved about the event and we all enjoyed the wine! I would not hesitate to host another event at Civic or recommend the venue to others.

Such a lovely venue and delicious wines! I just hosted an elegant baby shower and I'm thrilled I chose Civic Winery! Melanie was such a kind and gracious host. She hosted a mimosa and wine bar for us. The space is just beautiful and they were so gracious in allowing us our creative license to do it our way. They also have a gorgeous space in the back for larger groups. Next event, this is my go to! Thank you Melanie for EVERYTHING!

Wow, we visited from Houston, TX, and Craig immediately took us on a tour behind the scenes. Then we got a taste of a delicious wine that wasn't currently on the menu. The staff was friendly, too. We had some more wine and a great brisket. It was a memorable experience all around.

My favorite place in Eugene. Great wine, great atmosphere, and the most friendly employees/owner.

Staff was extremely friendly and I loved the feel overall! They had an interesting selection of wines with a focus on natural/organic wines and stock items from smaller growers & companies which I like. It felt in that way very niche and different than any other wine bar you'd visit in town. I've only been twice but can not wait to return to try some of their foods and other wines. I haven't come across any that I'm obsessed with yet which is why I gave it 4 stars. I just need to come back to try more!

A pretty nice wine bar in town! My friend and I each got a flight and a glass of wine to follow. They have very unique sparkling wine method that I would recommend trying! We also had the meat and cheese plate which was a tasty accompaniment. One star off because the vibe wasn't my favorite. It felt very quiet and empty - I don't think there was any music playing. I miss the Sweet Cheeks wine bar in the 5th Street Market, but Civic Wines is a nice alternative to going all the way out to the wineries!

We live out of town and come once every Summer. On both visits our pet had been welcomed on their outside dog friendly patio. Additionally, it's really nice to order from people who like wine and know about the wines they are selling. Last year the woman was kind and knowledgeable and talked to us about the different wines. We got to try some that had the smoke from the fires in them. I thought they were good. This year we had a nice man with tattoos down his neck all the way to his feet. What a great sommelier he was. It's so nice to talk to someone who knows their wine, enjoys talking about them, and really enjoys their job. Additional praise to the management for allowing him to be himself at work. He's happy, it shows, and it helped us enjoy our time at your establishment.

Very welcoming, very humble and innovative winemaker and purveyor. Inviting and knowledgable. Look forward to going again and trying some of the food on his menu. Thank you Craig for showing me some lovely wines.

Thoughtful menu and sustainable wines. Ask about the clay pots in which their wines are aged- ancient strategy. Eat and drink with a clean conscious here. I'll certainly be back.

A relaxing yet lively atmosphere on a rainy day. Zaire and Celeste were most accommodating and knowledgeable. Good energy all around. We had a splendid time with scrumptious wine and delectable dine. Thanks to Craig and company for the experience. ?

The last time I was there they actually weren't quite open yet. 10 minutes until opening time and the owner saw us lurking outside so we came over unlock the door, let us in and promptly served us a few tastes of some newly released wines. The evening only got better from there. We were lucky enough that pizzeria DOP was doing a special menu. We nibbled, sipped and got a great education in civics unique approach to winemaking. They always have some new interesting menu happening for bites to accompany the wines. Their wall of wines to purchase are amazing. And plenty of room to sit quietly or gather with friends. I hear they also do private events.

A great wine producer/bar/store with light food options. I particularly appreciate the option to just order a bunch of bread hunks with oil and vinegar. In my experience, the wine they produce is on the traditional end of the natural wine spectrum: it's consistent and generally fit my expectations based on the grape varietals used, unlike some natural wine that's wildly variable and often overbearingly sour or funky. Service is friendly. Some of the food options are vegan and others can be adapted.
