Base your expectations on the fact that this is a college town and this izakaya is a couple streets away from the university. There's nothing wrong with that! Our servers were young college kids who worked hard and were attentive to our table! Chef cares about his craft; he corrected a server who set my sushi upside down, which was an extremely minor mistake I didn't mind. Came on Valentine's Day and had a great experience. We were added to a waitlist and called in the estimated time. All entrees were great, with the exception that the spicy tuna roll was just not spicy at all (only reason for 4 stars!). Otherwise had a great time. Server was really friendly and attentive. House hot sake special was great. Bathroom was clean. Coming back!

Me and my friend went to Izakaya Jinsei for dinner tonight and we had an amazing experience! Such a cute restaurant. Will definitely be my new go to sushi spot. Very quaint, chill atmosphere. Some standout dishes we ordered were the spicy garlic edamame as an appetizer and the super dragon roll. Service was great. Very friendly employees. The menu was pretty big and had a large variety of dishes, not just sushi. I would definitely come back here again to dine in or for takeout.
