“Whoa, Vi did not come here to play. This is wild to say but it was the best banh mi that I’ve had here, living in Portland for more than 6 years and originally from the Bay Area. Worth the $.Located in a clean and cute Food Hall that really has it all.“
“We called in a take out order yesterday and there was some confusion when we picked it up and ended up with one of the wrong entrees. We called them and they were very apologetic. We went back tonight and they comped our entire dinner. That’s great customer service! Bonus that the vermicelli bowls are great too.“
“This place is excellent. Super fast service and food to the table. The pho is very flavorful. Even the plain, no meat version is delicious. This is a great place to take your vegan/vegetarian, gluten-free house guests because there's something for everyone, and it tastes really good.“
“I saw the raving reviews so wanted to check this place out. The bahn mi is good bulgogi has good flavor. The meat is pretty chewy though, and I would say the combo definitely is not worth the extra 5 bucks. I'd stick to the sandwich. The service was pretty quick and the lady was very nice. It's a small hole in the wall location. I would however avoid this area after about 5/6pm. This area is home to many people whom reside outside lol. As someone who has been to almost every bahn mi place in Portland I will say comparing to best baguette, bahn mi fresh, and a few other bahn mi places i think killer bahn mi is the best! But it is quite spendy for a bahn mi. You pay for it in the amount of meat they give you but still. If you like this kind of bahn mi I'd recommend also checking out an xuyen bakery. It's this little bakery on like 51st and foster but they have some of the biggest bahn mis I've ever had for 1/2 the price.“
“Love it. I get the V1 or pho at least a couple times a month. Tempura ? shrimp perfectly fried. Light, crispy, not greasy. This family-run restaurant is the best place to dine East of 82nd on Sandy. Clean, pretty, beautifully decorated. Order online food ready within 15 minutes. Great service and welcoming, unlike many other Vietnamese restaurants around town.“
“Wonderful service and food. Visiting Portland and this place was highly recommended. The poke bowls are fresh and absolutely delicious. Many choices are available and we've already been here twice! Parking is questionable but so easy to pick up food and go! Looking forward to our next visit.“
“Best non-greasy pho in N/NE Portland. There are only five tables for dine-in so we usually get takeout. They have expanded their menu recently and we appreciate the authenticity. The elderly man there is absolutely adorable and pleasant!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pho is the best ever“
“Terrific experience! My boyfriend has been here twice and couldn't wait to bring me. We live in the neighborhood and couldn't believe we hadn't found this place sooner. We were impressed by the presentation of our drinks, appetizers, and entrees. We also enjoyed the best crab ragoons we've ever had (ordered 2 more to-go). Everything about the restaurant was clearly well thought-out. From the dining area to the bar to the bathroom, it is well-designed and extremely clean. To top it off, the owner of restaurant was super friendly and took time to chat with us. We are already making plans to bring our friends next week. Love this place!“
“I lived in Vietnam for 3 years and as soon as I walked in, it felt like “ home” (I was born there but raised in the states) The sights, sounds and smells brought me back. This unassuming no frills family run humble place only serves 2 soups a day (3 on wed) but does them well. Come early before they run out because even though it says they’re open until 4, they often run out by noon. I’ve been twice. Once on a Friday at noon and was one of the last ones to order the pho ga. On a Wednesday we went at 11am and they only had one out of the 3 soups left. Will plan accordingly next time. Anxious to try their sister establishments. I briefly spoke to Peter and had a lovely chat. He works diligently to accommodate his customers and is consistent with the quality of his food. Well done Peter! ????I’ll be coming back again“
“Make sure you find the menu and check what they are selling for the day. They will usually have 2 kinds of noodles they serve with different broth and topping..What brought me here was, I wanted to come here and try the curry chicken vietnamese pho style, but they only serve that on Fri and Sat..They have family restaurants a total of 3 or 4, but only this location open on Monday..When I walked in around 3, they had 2 options of pho. I chose the pho ga which is chicken noodle soup..Pho broth is savory, clean, comforting, and flavorful. My white friends ? doesn't understand why it is good when I told them. So they watched me eat. And then they finally had a sip of the broth they were like wow. It's good chicken broth and my second favorite I have taste. My all time favorite is still in Sacramento ca, pho anh dao for chicken pho..Price was 16.50 for the pho which is high. The quality of the bowl of soup and noodles really made up for it. During the whole trip I needed something comforting, I was missing my soups and asian eats..Overall it was casual restaurant for a lone eating experience. There is a nice parking lot with free parking. Hope this review helps and let me know what you like or I missed out on while in portland. Thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.“
“So glad to have Pho 360 in our neighborhood! Friendly and fast service, nice atmosphere, and good food. Even when they got busy at lunch it wasn't loud in the room. We had the Pho Tofu and salad rolls. Just wished there was chili crisp available on the tables.“
“Amazing ready to eat foods available here. Fascinating variety. Incredibly fair prices. Friendly helpful service. It opened my eyes to a whole world of tasty dishes I had never tried.Vegetarian options: I think they're good.Parking: Lot is across the street.“
“Tried the Bahn mi, soy lemongrass pork, and garlic noodles. All were fantastic. I didn't get to try my son's egg rolls because he ate them all and refused to share. He said they were really good. My nine year daughter said I have to give this place 1000 out of 1000.“
“This was my first banh mi experience, so I can't compare, but I ordered the "house special" and it was awesome, as well as a fantastic deal cost-wise. The service was great too. I don't live in the area but will definitely make the effort to go back.“
“Usually when I go to a place and it's empty I take it as a warning sign. So glad I stayed, I got C7, it had tumeric noodles and there was a dish of mixed herbs to put in the soup that had something other than the usual basil leaves (which was very tasty).SO DELICIOUS.Broth was rich, silky, and well balanced with spices.Would come back again.Music was also lit ?Parking: Saw a sign that said parking in back. Didn't use but it's an option in case street is full.“
“Honestly, I would wait hours for this food. I’ve been given free food for toddler while we’ve waited and so much care.If you’re looking for amazing vegan options, this is the spot, and if you’re meat lover like me- just know everyone has amazing options. We love you, Friendship Kitchen.“
“I have eaten here numerous times and the food is always fresh and delicious. I was dining here today and I observed some of the most outstanding customer service...I felt the need to comment. There was a woman seated who was perhaps effected by schizophrenia or some other challenge where she was having a vivid conversation with herself. She was able to order food, but was also trying to engage the server in whatever delusion she was experiencing. He was so incredibly kind and patient with her through the whole process. It was noteworthy. Great job, highly recommend this place!“
“I have only been the one time, for now. Had to get the classics on my first visit and 3 for 3 killed it!-Beef Combo pho 5/5*rich, delicate, flavorful but subtle. everything I look for in pho. AMAZINGBEST I HAVE EVER HAD-Salad Rolls w/peanut sauce 5/5*obviously made fresh maybe to order. Crisp vegetables, light flavor, slightly chewy wrap. Peanut sauce was on point, not that sweetened garbage some places pass off as peanut sauce. Real deal holifield. PERFECT-Vietnamese Iced Coffee 5/5enough caffine that I am writing this, not to sweet and rich coffee flavor. SO GOODcan not wait to come back to try everything but especially the broken rice.Thank you Yoonique, you will be seeing more of me and meeting my friends and family. Nailed it!!! Yum.“
“Super cool spot with great food and some of the best house ginger beer I've ever had. Perfect after work spot, especially if you've had a rough day. I enjoyed a pork bahn mi with sweet potato fries while reading the subtitles to Dune on one of their flat screens. Life is good ?“
“WOW!! What a beautiful space this business has created. We walked in and dined out, the Pork Bahn Mi is so delicious! The pork was flavorful and tender and the bread was just right--soft and just slightly chewy. Both the Vietnamese Coffee and Coconut Thai Iced Tea were delicious, rich and TASTY! I definitely recommend for sitting in or dining out. Staff was very friendly! Thank you for the delicious meal!“
“The food here is amazing and the portions are more than most restaurants give you. I've been coming to jade tea house for about 5 years now and it remains to be my favorite Thai tea despite going to many others. Another good thing I get that is in their menu is the pad kee mao noddles... perfect As far as service , you get your own water which I love. And the food comes so fast , especially your drinks and sides:) The ambiance is also what draws me back to jade tea house. There is a very spacious down stairs and up stairs, there is also a cute outdoor seating area that is a pleasure to be at durring summer!“
“Absolute perfection. I recently moved from Seattle and have been trying to find the good pho spots here in Portland. Everything about this place is excellent: the service, timeliness, atmosphere, and, my goodness - the pho. The first sip of the broth was like getting a warm hug from the inside out. Wonderful flavors. The large bowl was HUGE and arrived super fast. Perfect level of staff interaction: not too much, not too little. The place was pretty packed when I went, with a super diverse crowd of people which I always consider a good sign. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to go back.“
“The food here is amazing— loved being able to get some northern Vietnamese dishes that are less common at many of the Viet restaurants in PDX. They also use tons of Viet herbs when many other places use only cilantro, or mint. The service was lovely and the decor reminded me of the lovely new restaurants and coffee shops in Hanoi. We will definitely be back!!Vegetarian options: Veg and vegan options on the menu.“
“I'm stingy with 5-Stars, this earns more like 4.5, but heck, let's round up.Winner, Winner on taste and price, i.e., value. The first item is usually the most popular and that applies here: the pan fried rice cakes were excellent? The salted fish and chicken fried rice is one of the best versions I've tried. For certain, it's tops in Portland. The complementary tea was above average, while the iced limeade was oh so refreshing.Service was friendly and fast. Prices are more than fair. Ambiance is so-so as it seems like the seating layout could be improved to allow for more customers. Parking can be tough during peak hours. Lastly, they close way too early for an Asian restaurant, especially a popular tone.“
“One of my go-to pho spots. I was feeling under the weather today with yet another cold and my first thought was pho. This place is food focused for sure. No amazing ambiance or anything, but it gets 5 stars because I don't care about the atmosphere. I care about delicious pho from people that care about the food and quality ingredients ?I got a large #12, ate till I was satisfied and my to go container is FULL... And I spilt some broth ?. 2 full meals for $17? Heck yes!“
“I was doing a larger plumbing repair for mobile home park behind restaurant, was there doing work for multiple days. It smelled amazing outside every time I was doing work, so I decided to go in and have food. It was really good and the owner Kim is a great person. She was very good to us every time we came in to eat. A few of my coworkers never have tried Vietnamese food, and the loved it. Thank you Kim, I will be back for food often when in area.“
“It's gotta be a certain time of night, in a certain mood to end up here. I came here just to try the Vietnamese bar food but ended up with some free entertainment from surrounding parties karaoke session. The staff was friendly and ensured we were having a good time. It's a vibrant and loud restaurant, so be prepared for that. I tried the pepper salted soft shell crab, fish sauce wings, and lotus root and shrimp salad. The soft shell crab wasn't fried long enough and tasted very oceany and moist biting into it. The wings were really good and flavorful. Also loved the sweetness of the salad with the crunchy lotus root.“
“We've hit dozens of carts this year and this was such a great experience. First of all, the guy who runs it is a perfectionist and it shows in the quality and preparation of the food. We had the Vietnamese crepes and the shrimp and pork salad rolls. You have to look around the corner to find it but easily the hidden star at this good cart.“
“It was my first time here and I would be pleased to visit it the next time due to the great service. I got Bun Bo Hue and the broth was tasty. I love the interior decor related to some Vietnamese culture. The staff was quick and friendly. I highly suggest this wonderful restaurant to “
“Heard of this place thru friends and referral but did not get a chance to try their food until today. I’m very happy, impressed, and satisfied with the Special Sausage Egg Combo dish and Peach Tea drink this evening. Really love the generous portion in the box, the meat is so tender and so flavorful and the side veggie, pickle is so fresh. This dish is very common and can be found at any Vietnamese restaurant, but this place is definitely a step above. Recommended!“
“Tiny hole in the wall Viet Bun Bo Hue place. If you don't know what that is, you're looking at the wrong place. The menu is simple. The food is great. The atmosphere is simple. The cost is great. Overall, decent place to come. But not a fancy restaurant by any means, any not a PDX Thai restaurant! Set your expectations correctly.“
“Only street parking availableFriendly staffPlenty of indoor seatingService was quickVisited for Portland's Dumplings week and their version smelled heavenly with the crispy garlic.Delicious dumplings and looking forward to coming back to enjoy their menu!“
“Best spot for banh mis - so cheap too, only $8. Spicy pork is the way to go, but the chicken and lemongrass tofu are good too. The chicken was kind of like a chicken salad style but still good. I prefer asking for a little bit less coleslaw in the sandwiches for the perfect balance of cilantro, meat and crunch and sauce. Also Not closed, just completely irregular hours. So call before making the trip especially if the weather is bad.“
“Fresh everything! Soup, salad, fresh rolls, new years banh Tet, new nuong banh mi, nem nuong ready to eat, sooo much. I cant list it all! But che selection, bakery, etc is vast! Pay a visit. You wont regret it! :) This is in Hong Phat store!! The staff so sweet and friendly. Always answers all my questions that I have.Highly recc. I feel like I'm in Vietnam Heaven when I visit Lotus Kitchen.“
“Best pho I’ve ever had. Don’t be put off by the forgettable sign (a friend admitted this is why he hasn’t tried it yet lol) because we’re so accustomed to hip graphics in this neighborhood. The food is legit! The staff are wonderful and kind and the place is clean and spacious. The rare steak pho and the chicken banh mi are my favorites. I didn’t like pho before I tried this place and it changed my mind because they do it right!! Hot, flavorful, generous with all the fixings. Let’s keep this place goin, it’s amazing!Kid-friendliness: Well I saw kids here who loved it :)Wheelchair accessibility: Big street level front door off of an ADA curbside. Spacious with flexibility to move tables around.“
“Since I was in the neighborhood, I decided to stop by and try this place out. I am having the Bun Bo Hue dish and a side of salad rolls. The Bun Bo Hue soup is very flavorful and tastes good. All of the different kinds of meat in there were tender and good. The condiments of vegetables that went with the soup were fresh. This dish is worth a try for the people that like authentic dishes.. The soup is not everyone's cup of tea.... Everything in the pork and shrimp salad rolls tasted fresh other than the salad roll wraps could have been soaked in hot water a little bit longer to get it softer. This place is worth a try. They do have other dishes.“
“This place is an ABSOLUTE TREASURE!! The banh mi is some of the tastiest I’ve ever had at the best price I’ve ever seen. Phuoc, the nun who runs the cart, speaks very little english but is the sweetest person in the world. She takes her time making each dish one by one and while you’re waiting you can sit or walk around the beautiful temple that the cart is connected to. Whether you’re vegan or not, I highly recommend making this spot a regular visit!!“
“I'm no expert on Vietnamese food. But I did travel to the country and I really enjoyed the Pho here. Very clean, quiet and great service. The employees are courteous and made me feel good about how I like my order done. We have gone here 4 times now and each time it has been spot on. Thank you for the the Great service and food.“
“Delicious Vietnamese food with lots of menu options. Pho Van is a regular favorite when catching up with a friend who lives nearby. Their duck bamboo pho is so good (I've never had such tender bamboo), highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Plenty of good optionsDietary restrictions: Options for many allergies“
“This is my favorite Ph`o place in the area. Their food is really great, the veggies are always super fresh. But it can be a bit difficult to get someone's attention if you have a question or just want more water or tea.Parking: They have a large free parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and has disabled parking spaces right in front of the front door.“
“Quick In and Out Deli offers items made daily and refrigerated items. No dining in but they do have a high counter if you need to eat it there. I did it this time since I was hungry and on a quick lunch break and because my order, Bánh Bèo (small round and soft rice cake with a good amount of mung bean, dried shrimp paste, and sautéed scallions paired with drinkable homemade fish sauce) was so delicious. Bánh Bèo is one of the staples of Vietnamese street food! Their Bánh Bèo is way better than Phở Kim with flying colors! I'll say 4 out of 5 because the cake should have been a bit thinner. Otherwise, everything that came with it was spot on, tasty, and so yummy! They offer a decent and solid quality of various Vietnamese snacks and street food you can't find elsewhere, such as bánh giò, bánh ít, sesame ball with mung bean, to name a few. There are limited entries with soup and noodles also made to order such as porridge, and fried rice among other things. They cater food as well with reasonable price. I ordered a few months ago a tray of shrimp spring rolls and clear noodle chick stir-fried; they were delicious, cheap, and in good quantity. They do have Bánh Mì made to order. Vietnamese Ham is their specialty; they have various kinds of ham from regular to fried to delicacies such as snail-embedded!Small family-owned! It gives you the feeling of ordering food from your grandma. You have to check it out if you want to see what kind of Vietnamese street food they have!“
“Go here, order #37, you'll thank me later! Absolutely delicious! Flavorful, filling, and the blend of flavors is quite unique. I've never had Mi Quang (tumeric noodle soup dish) because I love Pho and always order it. I'm glad I branched out and tried something new because this is absolutely one of my favorite dishes here in Portland. I will absolutely be back for this!!!And side note as a crazy plant lady I just love all the plants!Parking: Some parking on Sandy and some on side streets close by“
“This is a great late night place to eat. Food always hot fresh and tasty and the service is always good . It's quite but loud at night with karaoke but it just makes the atmosphere fun and definitely a late night after the bar or even a late night food trip“
“This place is easily one of my fave go to Uber eats to my office. I'm rarely on the NE side so being able to order some comfort food that's delicious is nice while working downtown. They always pack it carefully and ensure that my beef is separated so it's not overcooked by the time it gets to me. Their broth is really delicious and it makes for a great lunch. I'll have to go to the store sometime but it'll definitely stay in my rotation of meals.“
“Little hole in the wall establishment. Some chairs, but unlikely anyone uses them. One lady behind the counter making the sandwiches and drinks, yelled from the back if I knew my order when I came in. She was working on orders for two other people waiting ahead of me.I ordered a bbq pork bhan mi, a sardine bahn mi, and two thai iced teas for a friend and I. Omg. Very tasty. So much so, when I got to my sandwich I just dove in and didn't bother with my camera. HeheheheheI will go out of my way to head over here for a tasty Bhan Mi.Vegetarian options: There is a vegetarian bhan mi. I might try it next time. Looks quite filling. But I was craving a good sardine sammy.“
“First of all, our server was A+. I missed her name unfortunately. The food was fresh, not too heavy, and tasty, with a good variety of both vegetarian and meat options and just the right portions for the price, given the setting and costs nowadays. Overall happy to eat here, and would love to come back with family and friends. The fun part was you can see the kitchen, so we saw them roll our flatbread fresh just for us.:)“
“This 5/5 review is for Binh Minh's mastery of the plain Banh Mi recipe! If you want to make your own Banh Mi with your chosen fillings or eat them with anything, Binh Minh is your place in PDX! Please do not waste your money and time to get it anywhere else! When you get Binh Minh's to-go bag, it typically comes with five personal-size plain Banh Mi. You can leave them out for up to a week, or in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze them as long as you want; reheat them in the air fryer or any oven reheating of your choice, and they still taste like freshly baked, airy, fluffy, and crispy right out of the oven! Fast food, deli-style setting mostly for to-go food. Quick service, small family-owned. They have other pre-made Vietnamese foods you can buy to make your own at home or reheat to eat them at home. Their Banh Mi with filling is okay. Drinks are mediocre. Their Pate/Liver Spread to make your own Banh Mi at home is better than most places in PDX!“
“Needed something delicious to eat at 8AM, and not fast food. Saw this place was open and decided to try it out.Ordered the #1 special combo Bahn mi and it was so good! Fresh warm bread and fresh ingredients! ? Cant wait to come back for more!“
