Went Tengu Sushi in Newport a small Japanese restaurant rihhg on the 101 hwy.Ordered the Jalapeno Tempura, a Godzilla roll (pictured below), and some eel and octopus sushi.The food was really great the atmosphere was quiet, the restaurant was empty except for us, the service was slow (though they have signage explaining that), and our server did not seem knowledgeable or even able to understand some of the menu item questions we had.All in all, if and whenever I return to Newport,...read full review

Fastest service I've ever had!!! Most authentic and kindest people!!! We even got everything we ordered ??? I also was so happy that we had water on the table. Would recommend ?

Absolutely loved this unpretentious little sushi house. We tried 5 different rolls and 4 were 5 stars one was great at 4 stars. Highly recommend the Newport roll and the Brooklyn roll. Good selection of sake as well.
