We visited Dan & Louis Oyster Bar during their Happy Hour. We went specifically for the oysters. We also made a reservation, but when we got there, there were plenty of tables available.We got seated immediately and got our drink orders taken within minutes. I defy you to find anywhere else where you can get oysters on the half shell at $2 per. That's their happy hour, which they extend to *all day* on Mondays. Would you believe me if I told you that they're actually some of the better oysters I've had? Pair that with $4 draft pints. And the smoked salmon chowder was so good it was impossible not to down. Absolutely stellar deals, exceeded only by the quality and taste of their food. *Highly* recommended.

I love this place .. it has not changed, essentially, forever .. it's stepping into Portland's more glorious past .. they managed to survive Covid and the degradation of downtown and are still going strong .. the oysters are the best and freshest in town. Raw, fried, on a Po Boy? You can't go wrong here .. they are sourced from various places and you can choose and compare .. I recommend Willapa Bay oysters!
