Some of the best food we’ve had in Portland! So impressed by this place and the top-tier service by the staff. There are plenty of vegetarian options including a separate vegan menu.

The food was delicious! The waitress was very friendly and helpful in explaining the menu and recommending food. The skirt steak was my favorite thing. It is tender and so delicious with the chimmichurri sauce. I was disappointed that the short ribs were tough and grisly. You must also get the cooked carrots, Spinach gnudi, and the brussel sprouts. All in all, a fantastic experience.

Ox makes good meat, and they serve it to you in a thoughtful and curated endeavor that drips with attention to detail and care that invokes “dining experience” in a way that Portland sometimes eschews. (Nothing against having someone sling me an amazing meal through counter service.)I cannot stress enough to you how good the meat is, however.
