“Was working late and picked up a togo order Pad Se Ew with tofu. The staff was great and called me when my order was ready for pickup. Food was delicious. The restaurant looked really cute for the short time of was there. I will be coming back to try more.“
“Highly recommend for an amazing restaurant for a great night out! Food was delicious and service was great! Our party of 4 shared a bunch of food and everything was fantastic!Dishes ordered:Oysters, beet root roti (cheese with condensed milk), muu kua grua (salted and glazed pork belly), neam pek gai (chicken wings), mee grob lon tao huu yee (crispy rice noodles with pork and fermented tofu relish), miang plaa jaramed (pompano salad), prawn curry, and Thai paella!“
“Cozy, unusual, quirky dining experience. We got there early at 5:40 pm and were the first to be sat and served when they open at 6. All food was fantastic, fresh, and flavorful. We tried every entree on the menu and each one was better then the next. We loved the fried rice, crispy tofu app, and spring rolls. Don’t go here if you’re looking for a quick dining experience, there’s only 1 cook in the kitchen!! Great evening.“
“This place was on my list for a while and it was a surprise and delight! Atmosphere was bright and airy. While the menu is small with shareable bites (my favorite kind of eatery). we still went home with full stomachs. Drinks: Life of Luxury, Acid, Drugs, Thai Tea. Food: Chopped BBQ Fried Rice with Brisket and Sweet n’ Sour Fried Chicken. Dessert: Coconut Panna Cotta. While I unfortunately have a low tolerance for heat, I powered through the friend rice because it was SO GOOD. From my partner’s perspective, it had a nice “kick”. Really loved the flavors of everything we had!“
“This was a second round when we loved it so much the day before. We made sure to come here before leaving the last day. I went to both locations this one and the other one. This location is smaller, cozy & intimate spot. They have 2 picnic benches outside for the nice weather..This place has amazing southern thai fried chicken, with roti & curry iand sticky rice combo nspired by southern thai cuisine. This spot is like a must try spot!! It's like you haven't been to Portland oregon if you haven't been here..There are lots of street parking available which is quite easy. You walk in and order & pay at counter. We walked in after lunch time on monday and there was no wait. Ihighly recommend getting one of their combos where you can try multiple things!.I got 2 hat yai combo ($20) to share between 4 people, each combo came with a fried chicken leg quarter, wing, sticky, rice, malaysian-style curry & roti (flat bread). it was all sooo good (+ a lot of food for a good price), I was in tears of joy as I'm eating this combo..* roti: hand made tortilla/crepe, its thin and crispy. dip it in the curry & I was wow! The curry sauce is like crack and you just can't stop eating it.* fried chicken : crispy. flavorful, juicy for fried chicken.and there are fried onion bits which is so good.* curry: spicy, sweet, is so good with the rice and chicken as a dip!.Overall if we come visit a place 2 times during the trip, it's that amazing. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day!“
“***WOW***This is one of the only restaurants I’ve been to where I actually said out loud “OH MY LORD” upon tasting!!! The pork belly dish was absolutely PHENOMENAL!! I’ve been to many restaurants in the general Portland vicinity and NONE compares to the authenticity.DEFINITELY recommend!! Drinks were amazing as well. The price was more than reasonable!! Waiter was great and the owner/chef came out to greet and chat.Overall great place to go for a fabulous dinner.“
“Probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Ordered delivery through doordash and it arrived hot and fresh. I got #2.1 with dumplings added. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! Especially the pork belly and the broth!!! Judging by other reviews I knew it would be good but I didn’t know it’d be THAT GOOD. I will definitely be back either in person or delivered. I think I found my new favorite spot.“
“I’ve had several dishes from both the SE Division in Portland and the South Lake Union location in Seattle. Both offer consistently great food.I highly recommend the Drunken Noodle. Wide rice noodle with baby corn, onion, bell pepper, tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and Thai basil in a garlic sauce. Delicious ?From my experience they tend to go spicier than I am accustomed to. Be forewarned.“
“One of the best place in Portland if you want to enjoy the food . If they make fried meat, this meat inside will be juicy . Yesterday I order for first time there fried calamari, and that been best I ever eat fried calamari , and restaurants were my check was been 400-800$ didn't make this type of dish that good . 10 of 5 for this place , I'm driving to eat there from wood village“
“Amazing food and even better service!! Miu (I know I’m butchering that) the man that served our food was SOOO cool, he was complimenting us the whole time, genuinely excited to talk with us, brought us free dessert just plain good vibes all the way. PROTECT THEM AT ALLLL COSTSSS!! ?“
“went to this place on a whim and LOVED it!! the vibe is great, super chill, the servers were incredibly hospitable and attentive, and the food was out of this world! i just went to thailand this summer and have been missing having really good thai food and this place definitely scratched my itch! got the som tom thai, gai grop sam yan, kanang pad khai, and khao soi. all SO good!!!Dietary restrictions: i have a lot of dietary restrictions and the waitress was extremely helpful and cautious. they even have an extensive allergy list for you to look at!!“
“Good vibes, great cocktails, and delicious food—what more can you ask for? The prices are also pretty reasonable, although you will need to order a few plates to get “full.” Unsurprisingly, it’s a popular place so expect to wait 30 mins to an hour if you don’t get here early. In any case, we will definitely be adding this to our list of frequent Portland nighttime spots for snack and drinks.“
“Came through for another food truck but since they were about to open I wanted to try their Thai iced tea. Thai iced tea is good. Not super sweet or too strong. You'd be surprised how some places could get this really wrong. Curry chicken puff is delish. Flaky and perfectly balanced. It wasn't all pastry and no meat like some places. Coming back to try their curries, mini bites and their dessert.“
“Best tofu I've found in Portland!! I love trying new things any time I go, and have yet to be disappointed!! Not only is the food great, but the service is unmatched! Definitely my favorite lunch spot :)Vegetarian options: Most dishs can be made vegetarian by selecting tofu for your protein“
“Randomly decided to stop here while walking my dog and am sooo glad I did! I chose the house curry, pot stickers and spring rolls, everything was delicious and flavorful. Plenty of food for two people. The customer service was exceptional, a true joy. Highly recommended.“
“In a sea of Thai food, this is my white whale. I stumbled upon this place after having a deeply offensive experience at blutos. We were asked to go to the back of the line and wait again after already waiting 20 minutes, because they had too many tickets to put our ticket in as well. It was like being hit with a flash bang of gaslighting and snubbery. This inexplicable event happened on an evening when I was entertaining friends from out of town. This proverbial slap to the face came after a long day of hiking and little food. Now hangery and nearing the dreaded hour of nine in Portland, we used what little blood sugar we had left to high tail it to the nearest establishment. We walked into rudkiew at 8:45 feeling guilty, and hastily ordered our food. They whipped that work in ten minutes flat true to Thai form. It tasted like we were transported to Thailand and it brought pure elation to our wounded hearts, and that says everything you need to know. They also gave us free spring rolls to boot just to put the cherry on top. I’ve been going back ever since and it slaps everytime.“
“As a Thai, I can confidently say that Thai Yummy Food Cart is a taste of home. The Oo-la-la wings are the best in town; I just couldn't get enough. The Eggplant Mania is also my absolute favorite. Their flavorful and spicy dishes always hit the spot! With fresh, tasty options and friendly service, it's a top pick for an authentic Thai experience. If you find yourself at OSHU, don't miss this one – truly recommended.“
“OMG BESTIE BOO’S, THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD LIKE COME RIGHT NOW IVE BEEN TO THAI AVE A FEW TIMES NOW AND IM IN LOVE VERY SIGMA ?✨? a more proper review; I recommend this Thai restaurant it’s very nice and kid friendly, the fried rice, wonton soup, pad Thai, their curry’s, and Thai tea. I highly recommend this Thai restaurant if you are looking for good Thai food, costumer service, and my little sister who is food picky and she approves as well so I would consider this kid friendly overall 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“This place is my go-to late night. They're so friendly, remember who you are, and their food is so good and the perfect spice that my partner and I crave. So easy to call and order and pick up. Especially love the pad kee mao and egg rolls.“
“My friend suggested that this place is one of the decent Thai restaurants in Portland. And I have to agree with him! I ordered Boat Noodles and it was sooooo goooooood! And Tod Mon is the must! It’s so hard to find a Thai restaurant with this menu! Love it. And staffs were so friendly! Will come back in a heartbeat.“
“Nice sized portions with really thought out flavor profiles. The rangoons are amazing and the Thai samosas are one of the best appetizers I've ever had. Khao Soi is one of my favorite Thai dishes and they do it right! They also have perfect spice levels for those who don't like spice and those who love it. When they say spicy they mean it! My new go to Thai place!“
“Ken was our server, he did a great job. I started off with Thai Iced Tea. The Spicy Chicken Salad came next and it was delicious. Mussaman chicken curry hit the spot. BBQ Pork Fried Rice was excellent. It's a very light rice dish with thinly cut bbq pork. I didn't have room for the fried bananas. Next time!Recommended“
“There are about 5 similarly priced Thai restaurants with comparable menus within walking distance of each other around Division/Hawthorne. Modern Thai is consistently the fastest, easily the cheapest, has the best service (with the sweetest people working the front), and freshest food. My go-to casual dinner option in the neighborhood.“
“Got take out from Thai Seasons - the Khao Soi was outstanding as were the wings and crab Wonton. The Geang Fak Thong was OK, not a lot of flavor. Also the Tom Kha soup was a bit bland - not much coconut flavor. Could us a bit more rice for everything we got.“
“Some of the best Thai food I've had in the US, have dropped by this place a couple times now and it's been sublime every time. The food is perfectly cooked and flavored, and the portions are great for the price. Will be coming back again and again.“
“Best Thai in Portland! Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful. The meat is tender. We end up at this spot weekly. Our go tos are yellow curry chicken, cashew chicken, pad see ew with beef, and Thai iced tea. To top it off, May the owner is the absolute sweetest.“
“This is a tasty little food cart on 82nd. It does take a little bit of a wait, but well worth it. And the tartar sauce is out of this world. If you're craving some yummy fish and chips, I'd say try them out for a friendly fun experience.“
“Went here the other night for the first time in a while, for dinner. I was warmly greeted upon entry and directed to seating. Excellent vibes and nice decor. We ordered the appetizer combo and chicken satay to start. I had the evil jungle noodle medium spicy. It was as delicious as I remember. One of my friends had the tom yum with shrimp and said they were very pleased with it. Good prices for downtown and generous portions. Great service! Definitely recommend this place! Parking can be tricky as it sits on a busy corner of 2 one-way streets, but if you dont mind walking a block or 2, youll be fine.“
“Today is the 4th time I have been to CORE. Lucky for me, I ate at Sandy's Myanmar Cuisine today. It was SOOOO good! I tried the national dish, catfish soup with guava drink. Definitely stop by. Henry & the management team at CORE definitely have a great venue - and a great atmosphere! I will definitely be back!“
“Incredible flavors. This is what Thai food is supposed to taste like! Having been to Thailand, this place beats most food I had out there too. You can’t go wrong with any dish, they all have unique defined flavors that pop and compliment each other “
“A super fun and quirky little place with wonderful Thai food! We had Pho, Larb Salad, and Pad Thai, all three were amazing! Will definitely return when in the area!Parking: Parking is rough around this areaWheelchair accessibility: Would NOT be a good restaurant for wheelchairs“
“Hidden (maybe not so hidden) gem. Service is 10/10 and food is 12/10. We are basic and get pad thai every time. It is delicious and portions are perfect for the price. We do try new sides each time and haven’t been disappointed with the fried rice, potstickers, or crab puffs. Bubble tea is on point and those Thai donuts are to die for!!!“
“Some of the nicest people you're going to meet work here. The food is incredible! Always fresh, the freshest. Portions are very large. I've never been able to finish a whole plate and I eat a lot. I highly recommend the avocado beef, and the beef salad. The avocado salad rolls are just gorgeous! This is by far my favorite local restaurant. Nancy will meet you once and always remember your name. I wish them all the success in the world for absolutely nailing it every single time.“
“This is probably one of the best value when it comes to tasting menu. The food was absolutely amazing. Out of the 12ish dishes we had, my boyfriend and I both agreed that other than 2 of them we’d rate 3 stars, the rest were 5 stars. This is our 2nd tasting menu experience in a week. The other one (won’t mention restaurant name here but it’s in my other review) was terrible comparing to Langbaan. We will definitely go back. Already reserved Phuket Cafe for next week.“
“We found this place by just doing a lap around the block and we are so glad that we did. The iced Thai tea was delicious, we both enjoyed it. We started our meal with crab ragoons, they were some of the best ones we have had. Hubby ordered cashew noodles with beef and I ordered crab fried rice. We were both very happy with our meals, we were sad that I couldn't take any back with me to the hotel. The staff was very nice also. We highly recommend this location.“
“Super cool spot with great food and some of the best house ginger beer I've ever had. Perfect after work spot, especially if you've had a rough day. I enjoyed a pork bahn mi with sweet potato fries while reading the subtitles to Dune on one of their flat screens. Life is good ?“
“I've been here a couple times, both takeout and dine in. I'm vegan, so all of the food I had was from the vegan menu. I really appreciate that it has a different section on the menu because it makes finding what I can have a lot easier, without having to customize any of it. Takeout: When I came for takeout, the waiter still offered me water and a table which was very nice. The wait was not long at all and all of the food was hot and delicious. I liked the decor and it kept me occupied during my pretty short wait Dine in: I loved the plating of the food, and there's some cool tables here. We sat at a normal booth but they have one right next to a big window and it looked cozy. They also have outdoor seating but it's still cold outside so I haven't experienced that yet. I got a thai green tea which I'd never had and was in love with it. Pricing: Main dishes were around 15-20, my sides were like ~10, the green tea was 6.50 I wouldn't say it's competitive, but I don't think the prices are offensive either. Please don't forget to tip“
“We didn’t know anything, just passing through, and we found Tara Thai on the internet. We got take-out and took it back to our hotel. We were totally delighted with the flavor and quality of the food, and the staff was very nice! Thank you!“
“White and Green has maintained its excellence as a restaurant, both pre-pandemic and throughout these challenging times. Their commitment to top-quality food remains unwavering, prompting us to make the 30-minute drive to dine there at least once a week. The service is consistently warm and welcoming, with the staff even remembering our names and orders. When it comes to Thai cuisine, we simply won't dine anywhere else!“
“We ate outside. The system is to order by phone from your table. We were with a large party and because of an error in entering our order it was never processed. When we discovered the problem everyone else had been served. Our food finally came when others were finishing. I’ve been here lots of times and don’t like this new system.“
“House curry! Wow. Green curry... your not going to want to miss this.Authentic Thai food that will you can't miss. This is real Thai food like what you get in Thailand.Well done to the team, you deserve your 5 star reviews.Nice heaters under the tent for dine in.“
“I have not tried the food, I picked up an order for delivery. The staff is friendly. The young lady who helped is super friendly and helpful. They have a super clean establishment. The men’s restroom was the cleanest restroom in Oregon. I mentioned the clean restroom and the young lady mentioned she cleaned it. Give her a big raise for keeping the place so clean.“
“I’ve been going to La Mai Plate for years and I absolutely love this food cart. Cha, the owner/chef is the kindest person! She always remembers my partner and I and is so friendly and joyful to be around. There are so many vegan options on the menu. I have my favorites like the curry puffs, summer rolls and la mai noodles but the seasonal options are so different and always so good. I look forward to fall the most when there are a lot of innovative pumpkin and squash dishes on the menu.I also look forward to seeing how Cha has decorated the cart for the season. There’s so many personal, sweet touches to this food cart that make it so special. It’s a great spot because you know you’ll always get something tasty, you’ll be treated so sweetly and you’ll want to come back again and again.Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes on the menu can be made vegan and or vegetarian.“
“White Elephant is part of a really nice food cart pod on Mississippi. The location itself is really nice and definitely always pretty busy with a good energy. There's so many options to pick from here, but I always keep coming back to White Elephant.I'm not at all well verse in Laotian food, but this really surprised me! I had the Laotian beef jerky which was very tender, moist, and packed full of flavor. When I hear "beef jerky", my mind conjures images of dry, tough strips of meat sitting in a gas station store for who knows how long. While these are still strips of beef, they're anything but that. Major downside about this place is the hours. I can't count how many times I've swung by here to grab something and they're closed. I think they're closed Monday through Wednesday and the latest they stay open is 7pm... which to me is usually when I prefer to eat dinner.Other than that, highly recommend!“
“My go-to place for Thai food in East Portland. Nancy is the best, her food is delicious and homemade, she works very hard day and night… and if she ever gets that fried chicken going like in the brick and mortar Bai Yok days (RIP) it’s going to be GAME OVER! Loving the green curry, the Rangoon, all the noodles til then! Haven’t had a bad meal here and I’ve ordered from her at least two dozen times!“
“This is the best Thai food in Portland! I usually order the pineapple curry which is amazing but today I had the pleasure of the crab fried rice. Soooo delicious. The owners/worker's here are super friendly and I highly recommend. PLEASE give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.“
“I love both their Thai and Vietnamese options here. Their Ugly egg rolls are delicious. They're not on the menu but you have to ask for it by name. They're super crunchy and are rolled with rice paper. Their pad Thai is just perfect, not too wet or dry, or too much tamarind. My other go to dish is the Vietnamese fried rice. I don't know what seasonings are in there but it sure is delicious!“
“My first time in 50 years, and let me say, GREAT!! I went with a group of fine folks who recommended this place. Don't be swayed by the location, it's TOP quality food. We were sat very quickly. The inside ambiance is very quaint. Almost like a family kitchen. Extensive menu choices, including VEGETARIAN options. My food was quite simply delicious! And most importantly, PLENTY of food. Stop by, relax, give them your business and enjoy.“
“The food here is amazing and the portions are more than most restaurants give you. I've been coming to jade tea house for about 5 years now and it remains to be my favorite Thai tea despite going to many others. Another good thing I get that is in their menu is the pad kee mao noddles... perfect As far as service , you get your own water which I love. And the food comes so fast , especially your drinks and sides:) The ambiance is also what draws me back to jade tea house. There is a very spacious down stairs and up stairs, there is also a cute outdoor seating area that is a pleasure to be at durring summer!“
“Literally PERFECT. One weekend I had it for dinner three days in a row and still wanted it again on the fourth day.Sometimes if we aren’t hungry we’ll just come in for drinks to go! So much wonderful flavor and so refreshing. Love everything about Norah!!Dietary restrictions: All vegan!!“
