Been going here for years, literally. They were one of the first of the recent wave of newer restaurants in downtown Salem. Lately however they are slipping in quality and service. Two nights in a row, I walk in and am told "to go only right now". Night 1 it was just after 8pm. I'm sure no one was told that before I walked in, the place was full of customers eating. Night 2 it was 9pm. Posted hours say they are open until 10pm. So I ask how that works for drinks - she says "you can still get a beer and drink it while you wait for your food". (I'm not kidding) So I'm basically supposed to guzzle my pint of beer like I'm at a fraternity party? Seriously? More blank stares followed. I ask if they're doing to go only after a certain time or just on random days, but they don't really know. And about the food, another Reviewer is correct in that they're not toasting the Buns like every decent burger place would do. If the service and food quality improves I'll update this review.

Logical Reasoning

Pretty good food, HOWEVER...they are one of the shops which irresponsibly and flakily close early on a whim. People have forgotten (or were never taught) what I means to work hard, work full 8 hour shifts and overtime [if needed], and to reliably work until the actual posted closing times. I hadn't eaten anything since I'd awakened and have health issue, so I was looking for a place with decent food to help get rid of my feeling of sickness and shakiness...and they closed 20 mins early, just because they've "worked here since 10am". I'm sorry, but I worked many, many long years in sawmill where it was CONSTANT heavy labor work and often had to work overtime...working 12 hrs at a hamburger joint may seem daunting to some, but, no...it's lightweight weakling work for people not wanting to work very hard. To be open and serve customers another 20 mins until closing was not asking much. If I were the owner or supervisor, there'd be no closing early "just because....". This shop is unreliable and my family will choose another restaurant to patron from here on out. Great customer service and basic serving expectations aren't met here. And no amount of excuse or apologies will fix the issue...just stay open until the posted vlosing hours that are shown on Google Maps and elsewhere. The quality of workers here in our country has gone down substantially...that why great business are fewer and further between and far more Golden than they believe. Take care and thanks for reading.

So, my client wanted Bo & Vine. Ordering was a process as it was a huge order but it worked out. I needed the order by a certain time and they said they would do their best as the delivery was at the mercy of Door Dash. Bo & Vine the food is good. However, Door Dash is horrible. The food was an hour and half late. Bo & Vine asked how everything was and I told them Door Dash was horrible and the guy was rude. I hope he didn’t get the tip that was part of the order. Bo & Vine did right and gave an instore credit and said they would not use Door Dash. So, Thank You Bo & Vine for your excellent Customer Service. Appreciate it

I ordered delivery through a third party and while the delivery was prompt and my food was nice and warm, I was a little disappointed in my burger. It wasn’t the normal awesomeness I’ve had in the past. However, the restaurant reached out and immediately rectified the situation by giving me an in-store credit so that I can come back and try again. As I said, this was my first time experiencing food at Bo & Vine that I didn’t absolutely love, so I will definitely be using the credit in the near future. BTW the bacon maple pile of fries was absolute FIRE!! Amazing flavors and the bacon jam is magic!!! I’ll definitely be back. Exceptional follow up and service!!

Terrible terrible customer service. We had a group of to go orders for 15 people. We dropped it off at 4:30pm for a 9:00pm pick up and restaurant said it was no problem but at 8:45pm when we were there they refused to do the order. Super lame and lazy on their behalf and really frustrating and terrible customer service.

Delicious juicy and fresh burger and very unique tots! The tots appear to be large, house-made potato balls, and instead of toppings, the additions are inside, mixed in with the small potato chunks, and fried. Very different, and really good!

Got my food faster than estimated. I like the casual option of going up to order your food then seating yourself, or ordering online then going in and you get a text when your order is ready. I was very impressed by the food customization options as well. Delicious! The person working there was very nice and on top of things.

My favorite thing about the place is their fries and the sauce. We got the 50-50 mix, regular fries and sweet potato fries. It was a lot but they were crispy yet not overdone. Really good fries. The burgers were good, however the buns need a little love. The buns aren't steamed. They're not toasted. They were cold chewy and really had an edge that was hard and chewy at the same time. Ended up ripping it off my burger to get to the middle of the bun which is a sweeter brioche style bun. The atmosphere of the place was great. The only other criticism I would have is it's the type of place where you pay before you get your meal and you bust your own table. Seeing a gratuity line on the bill at these types of places when you don't get a lot of customer service is a little disheartening. Very hipster.Parking: It's in a busy area downtown. You have to circle blocks many times to even find a parking spot that is blocks away. We parked about a half a mile away. It was a nice walk but not ideal as far as going out. We were tempted walking by other places to just skip the burger and get something else.
