It's a damn shame the owner sold Casa Rojas and its chef has moved on. The "gourmet" Mexican restaurant that replaced it can't measure up to the quality of Casa Rojas and the variety of its menu. Sadly, my quest for really good Mexican food in Salem continues.

Great food, friendly staff! Ask for the Verde salsa, it's hot but has great flavor. It's not closed so I'm not sure why it has been reported as so.

The wait was well over an hour and with a toddler it was awful to have to do that. The people who came in after us ordered and got their food before us. When the food finally came it was cold, not fresh and cheaply made. For the same cash I could have fed my family for a week. Not worth the time or money.

This place is not closed. They switched owners. We were there last night and the food is great! Drinks are even better. The salsa is a little sweet which threw me off. We love coming here when the other places are so packed.

The last time we visited this restaurant the food, service, and experience was amazing. Unfortunately, that experience was ruined today. The service was poor with waitresses seeming too distracted for our time. The food was bland and burnt. All of the waitresses continuously bumped into the back of my friend's chair. This is advertised as a sports bar and the huge drinks was the draw for our visit and yet today we were told they were not serving alcohol. No explanations. No substitions offered. Very disappointed. Lucky for La Hacienda Real we will move our business back to there with no more venturing out. They have never disappointed at any location.
I deliver for Postmates so I've picked up to-go orders from many restaurants. The waitress at Casa Rojas was the nicest I've ever encountered. She made sure the order was absolutely perfect. The food was packaged in a way that made in very convenient for me to keep upright in the car on the way to my customers house. She was very polite and kind with a great smile and personality. I will definitely be returning to dine in with my family.

I am writing this review because this place has 4 stars when its food is not worthy of such a rating. I am really sorry, but the food was entirely mediocre here. If you are looking to get some really good eats, there are a number of places nearby that will hit the mark!! I wanted to say there was no issue with service here. Just really underwhelming food.
