The food was excellent. I ordered a medium rare fillet. The fillet came with a salad, choice of starch ( I chose smashed red potatoes) and a vegetable (I chose asparagus). Everything was excellent. A great value in these days where many restaurants have beef dinners a la carte. The restaurant is inside a historic brick building with it's own charm. I will definitely be back!

We had a 7:15 reservation for Friday night 3/1. We arrived at 7:10 and were seated fairly quickly and someone brought us bread. The restaurant was only 50% to 75% full and our waitress came and took our order within 10 minutes. As we waited we noticed other people being seated and getting their drinks and starters while we waited. We were ignored for 45 min and did not even receive our drinks-( a ccke and a cocktail). When I approached the host to find out what was going on he had a deer in the headlights look and said let me speak to your waitress who happened to be passing by. When he tried to speak with her she looked at him, then looked me up and down and rolled her eyes and put her hand up as if she didn't want to hear anything and snorted as she kept going. I understand that my friend and I were dressed very casually, (jeans and t-shirts) but felt very disrespected. I was trying to cheer a friend up who had recently lost his daughter and his wife is in the hospital. I thought that maybe a good steak and a nice dinner would cheer him up. Needless to say I was very put off and we left immediately. If this is how the staff is allowed to treat customers-( based on appearance imo) I will not be returning and will not be recommending this establishment to anyone.

I have heard amazing things about this restaurant so when we planned a work lunch I did not eat any breakfast just expecting an amazing meal I was brought the wrong meal when I finally got the right meal everyone at my table had finished eating and my shrimp was pretty undercooked I have heard that dinner is really good and their steaks are the best in town so I probably will give them another chance just not anytime soon I do also want to say that they were quite busy and they only had one person working

A fantastic restaurant with excellent food, good service, good drinks, if you like them, sweet, and a very pleasant atmosphere. It can get a little loud, and the piano and other music can also get a little loud, but otherwise, a lovely place to have dinner. The crab cakes were absolutely fantastic and some of the best I’ve had in a long time. The Parmesan crusted halibut was absolutely delightful and full of so much flavor. The wife got the crab ravioli that was very rich, but had so many wonderful flavors that it was hard to not eat the entire thing in one sitting.

Came in early for my show and though Chira's was busy, my companion and I were respectfully seated and attended to with genuine curiosity. Ambiance is calming and they seem to keep a friendly atmosphere amongst patrons. Amazing food and worth the visit!

I had reservations at Chira's Restaurant & Catering on Valentine's Day.The service to start was terrible. We waited 10 min without even seeing our server. When she finally came by we ordered everything right then. Two drinks, appetizers, salads and the main course. It took 15 min to get our drinks. Mind you we are both from the service industry so we are very mindful of how busy a place is. But when you watch three tables from your servers section leave in the time you sit there it is something you can't let go. We got our drinks, our app and salad at the same time. The crab spinach dip was not as advertised. It was an artichoke dip with crab on top. It was not bad but not very hot. The main course was the worst. I have never ever ever had to send food back before. But this was by far the worst looking meal for $45 and $54 I have ever had. It took an hour and 10 min to get our main course mind you.My chicken was so dry it was hard to cut. The veggies were ones that you would put in fried rice not as a side dish for a fancy meal. They were so small and it tasted as if they were slightly boiled and that was barely any flavor. I asked two people if I could talk to somebody about the food because the first lady ignored me. Finally I asked another lady and she told another lady. So when she came up she said, I hear you want to talk to me. I said, are you the manager? She said I guess, I was like okay. This is what's going on. I informed her we understand you are busy but the food is not to par for this price and we can not even eat it. She understood and said she was terribly sorry and they would comp our meal because we took one bite each and then they gave us a gift card to come back next time. She said this is a unique time for us, so come back and you should have a better experience. They handled it very well, but I definitely am sad that the food was not what it should be at that type of restaurant and that cost. But we ended up having an amazing rest of our evening.

Went on Sunday for a date night. The waitress stated she was new, no problem. The appetizer of calamari was delicious, salad was over-dressed but still delicious, and clam chowder was very good. After that, it went all down hill. The steak was a literal salt lick, couldn’t even finish it. Also ordered the king salmon (33$) and only received HALF of a fillet, not even enough to write a review about and the veggie medley was bland. I ended up basically only eating potatoes. For a bill being 100+ we’ll stick to Rudy’s, way better and worth the price. Won’t be coming back here.

We chose to try Chira's when we found out they have HALIBUT fish & chips, our favorite. We were not disappointed! Nice, fresh portions and not over-battered so the fish could be enjoyed. We also tried the Parmesan Crusted Halibut, very good. Sides, salad, soup, bread- all were great. Also, most swanky places like this give you small servings and up charge; Chira's servings are generous and reasonably priced. I can't wait to try their brunch. We will definitely be dining here frequently.
