We tried this place a few months ago. The menu seemed to be trying too hard with fancy touches but the results were meh. I think they should stick with a standard comfort food menu unless they up their chef’s game.P.S. For some reason the reviews and photos for the restaurant that used to be here (KItchen on Court Street) have been lumped in with this place, I’ve tried to get Google to remove them. Anything older than mid 2023 is for that place, not Palomino’s. It had a different owner, different menu.

**THIS REVIEW IS FROM WHEN THIS WAS "THE KITCHEN"**Have been here a handful of times and I seriously love the food. I have ordered their taco salad, & the meatloaf most recently. While I was expecting the heat with the taco salad, definitely was not expecting the meatloaf to be soo spicy. I believe it was the bbq sauce that gave it the kick. Other than that very satisfied. Always bring people from out of town here.

I really enjoy this place! Went in recently for the Tomahawk special which they have been offering on Tuesdays. For $99 you get a huge steak, salad, potatoes and dessert. They also have one of the best drink lists in Salem in my opinion.

Everything is great but skip all steaks! Wonderful food, drinks, service they just can't do steak right. If your in the mood for steakhouse dinner try a different place. But highly recommend any seafood option and their risotto/pasta options!!

A nice little spot in the downtown salem area. The staff were nice and helpful with menu recommendations. The pricing wasn’t great, but the food was solid. The salad was very fresh tasting and the nuts were actually incredible and The Risotto was decent. I’m glad I went although I wouldn’t go again.

Service was really fast and friendly. The food was divine. We got the Truffle Pasta and it was the best Pasta Dish I’ve ever had. Their cocktails are delicious as well. I’d go back for sure.

The food wasn't worth the price. We started with the risotto stuffed mushrooms. Risotto was undercooked and strangely watery, but the mushrooms were the right doneness. My husband liked his scallops and mashed potatoes. My truffle pasta was okay, but not great. The crispy brussel sprouts were soggy but tasted fine. The Old Fashioned was good, though. We made reservations for my birthday, and they put us at the table right at the kitchen/ bathroom (which I could smell the bathroom). No other seats were available at the time of 6:30. The chairs were very wobbly, like they were slightly broken.Atmosphere was nice, music was good. Maybe I'd go for drinks, but definitely not the food.Just not worth the money.
Definitely get the Steak Benedict and ask for extra hollandaise. The chorizo biscuits are delicious and ask for an additional egg on this one (only served with 1 egg). The mimosa flight is a must try! For dinner, try the scallops. They have a flavourful sauce with a kick. The stuffed mushrooms are a good starter, great taste.

Came here for a birthday dinner. The cocktails were excellent. The food took forever to come out despite there being only a few tables seated. For the price, the food isn't worth it. Some things lacked flavor, and others were nearly inedible, like the salad that comes with the lamb. It's upsetting they took out the booths that created a more intimate feel to the place. Now it feels like you're sitting in a buffet. I still tell people to try places for themselves and hope they have a better experience, but I most likely won't go back. For expensive dining, there are much better options in the area.

Service was great, everyone was friendly. We appreciate the creative menu, however the food arrived cold on both of our plates (scallops and duck). We also ordered 2 side salads, one with ranch and one with blue cheese. Both dressings were bland and we couldn't tell the difference between them. This place is super cute and great potential for our downtown! We would go back, and hope the new place works out the kinks!

Drove an hour into town to experience Palominos for my first time I've been anticipating it since they opened. I did not know they were only reservations on weekends. I failed to do any research went in at 4pm on Saturday to experience this place to be disappointed and turned away because I did not make reservations. So sadly, I will not be returning to this location again. It sucks that it wasted literally 2 hours of my day driving there and the shameful drive back...so this place with not get a chance to be reviewed by me. I am not a fan of any place that ONLY accepts reservations. Sucks because there were sooooo many tables open when I came in.
